Chapter 155: I Want a Stallion in a State of Unconsciousness
The young butler and Acoley were both startled by this scene, one delighted and the other angered.
“Who are you? How did you appear here?” The young butler furrowed his brow and said, pulling out his cane to call for the guards.
But he found that the guards didn’t respond to him, still focusing intently on driving the carriage, their pupils completely empty.
The young butler realized sothing was wrong with these guards. Soone had entered the carriage without being noticed, and they all seed focused as if not of their own will, as if being controlled by soone.
Luo Sheng sat to the side, hands in his pockets.
Before entering, he had summoned Levni and used illusions to control these guards, allowing him to easily approach and enter the carriage.
He spoke casually, “Don’t bother with useless efforts. They’re in their own world and won’t notice what’s happening inside the carriage.”
“You… do you know whose carriage this is?” The young butler raged.
“I do,” Luo Sheng’s face showed indifference. Then he glared fiercely at the butler, “But do you know whose companion you’ve kidnapped?”
Luo Sheng’s eyes were like those of a hungry tiger in the mountains, full of aggression.
Even the butler, who felt his status was noble, couldn’t help but tremble, “I am… from the Count’s mansion…”
Before he could finish, Luo Sheng punched him in the forehead, imdiately causing his face to swell. Luo Sheng spoke carelessly, “I don’t care who you are or who’s backing you. If you provoke , I’ll chop down even the king.”
The young butler was greatly shocked.
He hadn’t expected Luo Sheng to say such treasonous words.
But before he could be stunned for long, he received another punch from Luo Sheng. “Stop… stop hitting …”
As he begged, Luo Sheng punched him again, knocking him out of the carriage. Watching the butler roll down the cliff, the two continued their journey in the carriage.
For such lackeys, Luo Sheng never showed rcy. After all, daring to bully his Acoley, not dismbering them or tearing them apart with horses was already their good fortune.
“Luo Sheng, aren’t you afraid they’ll put out a warrant for you later?” Acoley asked worriedly.
But upon seeing Luo Sheng, a great weight seed to lift from her heart, as if she felt a sense of security that put her at ease.
“Do you think I care about any of that?” Luo Sheng gazed at her, as if she was the only one in his eyes.
Seeing this, Acoley couldn’t help but blush, her heartbeat surging like waves, her face already a rosy sunset. Seeing her in this state, Luo Sheng then said, “They’ve done so outrageous things, actually harming the weak.”
“That’s true, they threatened
using Old Granny and the others. They’re indeed not good people,” Acoley replied shyly.
She had never imagined sitting in the sa carriage with Luo Sheng, and at such a close distance. This made her feel at a loss.
Wanting to make conversation, she found herself unable to speak, staring blankly as the castle in the distance drew nearer.
Finally, she managed to say, “Thank you…”
When she turned her head, she found Luo Sheng searching for sothing. Then he took out a strange magical garnt, “We’re attending a banquet, so we can’t be without a beautiful dress. It would be impolite.”
Luo Sheng placed the magical garnt in her delicate hands.
Acoley was stunned for a mont, unsure whether it was because of the magical garnt or because of Luo Sheng that left her dazed.
Luo Sheng then said, “Don’t worry, I’ll stay with you until the end. Try it on to see if it fits. This is a special ceremonial dress with strong protective effects, perfect to compensate for your weakness in close combat defense.”
“Oh…”
Acoley held the magical garnt, her face showing a hint of surprise. She liked it very much, especially the soft fabric and the transparent magical patterns.
But soon her face turned red again.
“Um… how do I change?” Acoley finally asked the question shyly.
Luo Sheng then realized, after all, Alice and Bai Moxue would change clothes right in front of him, and he had almost gotten used to it. He then rembered that Acoley hadn’t fully accepted him yet, their compatibility hadn’t reached 90.
So Luo Sheng opened the carriage door and said, “When you’re done changing, knock on the roof of the carriage.”
With that, Luo Sheng imdiately flipped over, jumping onto the roof of the carriage, closing the door behind him, and standing on top of the carriage.
“Um…” Acoley felt very embarrassed, but she was also hesitant.
She could only slightly stick out her tongue to express her willfulness, and quickly changed her clothes.
When she put on the new magical garnt, she was slightly surprised by its quality. Not only was it incredibly smooth, but it could also block magical prying from others, and the material could resist a large amount of magical attacks.
This was an expensive magical protective gear!
Only after putting on the magical dress could Acoley feel how expensive this garnt was.
Then she knocked on the roof of the carriage, and Luo Sheng ca down from the top and sat back inside.
Acoley couldn’t help but say, “This garnt is too precious, you can’t give it to …”
Such magical protective gear would cost tens of thousands of gold coins, more than she could afford, so Acoley felt very uneasy and too embarrassed to accept it.
Luo Sheng was nonchalant, “If you don’t take it, who should I give it to? Or would you rather I give it to another girl?”
“This… that…” Acoley didn’t know how to answer.
She didn’t want Luo Sheng to give this magical protective gear to other girls, but she was too embarrassed to accept it herself. Wanting to maintain her proper reserve, she found herself in a dilemma.
At this mont, Luo Sheng held her hand and said, “Consider this magical garnt as a token of my faith in you. Besides, how can one attend a banquet without a proper dress?”
The blush on Acoley’s face wouldn’t fade, especially when Luo Sheng held her hands. Acoley’s heart was in a whirl.
She could only nod.
Delicate and charming like an obedient little girl.
Then she moved her bottom a bit closer to Luo Sheng, hoping to be nearer. This feeling was novel to her, and she didn’t resist it.
Her delicate hand was still held by Luo Sheng, which made her feel even more content. Perhaps this was what they called a date, only the destination was slightly unsatisfactory.
Acoley asked in a small voice, “Are we really going to attend the banquet? The Count will be prepared, he might even imprison us.”
Luo Sheng first kissed her hand, then put her hand together with his into his pocket, leaning back in his seat.
He said casually, “If he plans to imprison us, I don’t mind erasing his castle from the map. At worst, we’ll escape to the neighboring kingdom and beco enemy forces.”
Luo Sheng had already made up his mind to go all out.
After all, with Acoley encountering so many accidents in this kingdom, he no longer wanted to stay in such a place.
What if one day, another shaless duke or royal family mber appears to snatch her away? That would be another troubleso matter. It’s better to break ties with them now.
It would save a lot of trouble. Acoley could survive anywhere, and he could enhance her abilities.
There was no need to worry about so much.
Acoley was made very shy by Luo Sheng’s actions, but her heart was indeed full of romantic thoughts. The man she had been thinking about day and night had once again appeared in her ti of crisis, and now he was even holding her hand.
This reminded her of that night, in the bitter cold, when she made a wish upon a matchstick, praying for a prince on a white horse.
The person before her was that very prince.
“Alright, I’ll do as you say. After all, Old Granny and the children will be threatened here too. Rather than letting them live in fear here, it’s better to move to another kingdom,” Acoley said in a soft voice.
“Then let’s enjoy ourselves tonight and have a good look at his banquet,” Luo Sheng smiled.
But Acoley could see the anger in his heart.
“Okay…”
…
The carriage continued to travel, with the huge castle in the distance drawing ever closer.
The knights’ eyes remained empty, still under the control of the illusion, until they arrived at the foot of the castle.
The castle guards didn’t notice anything unusual and let them enter directly. The carriage drove all the way to the center of the castle.
The Count who lived here was from the Haddis family, a newly elevated family by the King. They had shown outstanding military achievents in a battle several decades ago, and were thus granted this land. The old Count had passed away due to injuries and illness.
Moss Haddis succeeded as the new Count.
Who would have thought that while the first Count was a brave warrior, the second would be a person of unbridled debauchery?
“Lord Moss, the carriage has arrived at the foot of the castle, and the banquet is ready,” an old butler said with a bow.
“Rember to put this in her delicacies,” Count Moss Haddis took out a purple pill and threw it to the butler.
“This…” The old butler was stunned.
Moss continued, “A stallion in a state of unconsciousness is no longer a stallion. Do you have any objections?”
“No, no, Lord Moss,” the old butler hurriedly replied.
