Chapter 100: The Mystery of Alice’s Background
“Commander McKesser, another patrol helicopter has been destroyed,” reported a Alliance soldier.
On the screen, humanoid chs, armored vehicles, and other transports were shown to be occupied by mbers of the resistance organization. They had all turned to attack the Alliance troops’ positions, with large numbers of exoskeleton soldiers being mowed down by heavy machine gun fire, casualties rising sharply.
“Damn these things!” Commander McKesser continued to curse loudly.
They had originally thought they were simply dealing with the so-called resistance organization, so they hadn’t brought much equipnt, just a regular company’s worth of troops. About 50-60 infantry fighting vehicles, ch tanks, humanoid chs, and patrol helicopters – after all, there was no need to use a sledgehamr to crack a nut.
Now, however, they hadn’t expected the situation to change so suddenly.
Their original goal of destroying the resistance stronghold and retrieving the cyborg bodies that NASDAQ Group needed most urgently now seed impossible to achieve.
McKesser slamd the table hard, “Use the cloud burst thermobaric bombs.”
Another soldier said, “But that way, our own people will be hit too, and moreover, the cyborg bodies the bosses need will…”
“You dare question my orders?”
As they were speaking, several screams suddenly ca from outside the command post, followed by intense gunfire. But in less than a minute, everything returned to silence.
McKesser was puzzled. There were at least 100 Alliance troops guarding the command post, yet it had gone quiet in less than a minute. Had the enemy been subdued?
“Quickly ask outside what’s going on!” Commander McKesser ordered.
They were riding in a command and communication fortress vehicle, isolated from the outside. There were several thresholds to enter the command vehicle, preventing spies from entering and giving wrong orders to the troops or even beheading the commander.
Therefore, communication with the outside forces relied mainly on comms.
However, just as McKesser finished speaking, the command room door sounded with a “Welco to the command room” voice.
Then the door screen lit up green, and the double doors opened. Luo Sheng and Alice entered unhindered, appearing before their eyes.
“How did you get in?” McKesser asked in disbelief.
Entering the command room required a password and superior confirmation to pass safely, otherwise one might face counterattack.
But Luo Sheng had obviously passed through safely, without triggering the door prohibition or the protective devices in the passage.
“Is that important?”
Luo Sheng said casually, casually putting the 【Open Door】 card back into his card box.
However, when Commander McKesser saw Alice beside Luo Sheng, he exclaid in surprise: “It’s you, A003 type? Weren’t you already decommissioned?”
Alice looked confused, “You know ?”
“Hehe, no wonder these bandits are so strong…”
McKesser imdiately took out his gun, preparing to shoot at Luo Sheng and Alice, without any intention of explaining.
But a sudden change occurred, large amounts of red cloth directly bound them tightly, even the gun’s muzzle was sealed, rendering it unusable.
Several soldiers and McKesser were tied up like a worm, only able to lie on the ground.
Luo Sheng ca up to him and asked curiously, “Now you have a chance to speak.”
“Hehe, you want to know? No way. Anyway, you won’t live long. We may have failed, but NASDAQ Group will manipulate the Alliance to send more troops. By then, you’ll still be dead at.”
McKesser said with a laugh, still looking arrogant even as a captive.
Luo Sheng looked at him with equal amusent, saying nonchalantly, “You’ll talk sooner or later.”
…
Another 5 minutes passed.
The resistance organization’s warriors rushed over.
They found that the command and communication fortress vehicle had already been breached by Luo Sheng, all the people had been dealt with, leaving only a few important captives alive.
When Luo Sheng and Alice returned to the town,
The resistance organization’s top commander, Anastasia, a mature and capable Caucasian woman with long wavy blonde hair, a full and tall figure, and golden eyes that looked very spirited,
She ca directly to et Luo Sheng and extended her calloused white hand, saying, “Thank you for your contribution to Red Star Town.”
“You’re too kind. After all, we were the ones who led them here.”
“No, even if you hadn’t co, we would still be a thorn in the Alliance’s side. Besides, because of you, we were able to capture a large amount of equipnt and weapons.”
Anastasia said very enthusiastically.
If it weren’t for Luo Sheng’s appearance, Red Star Town would probably have fallen.
The rcenaries of NASDAQ Group and the Alliance troops were very powerful, with all kinds of heavy weapons. The current strength of the Red Star Town resistance organization was no match for them.
Moreover, the power Luo Sheng displayed was astonishing.
He and Alice alone had managed to wipe out the enemy without a scratch, and even captured a large amount of heavy equipnt intact, including a command and communication vehicle that could withstand nuclear attacks.
This thing might not even exist in the resistance organization’s headquarters.
Anastasia would not hesitate to let Luo Sheng guard this place from now on, even if it ant giving up her position as commander to him.
She continued to report the statistics to Luo Sheng:
“9 Type 04 humanoid chs, 7 multi-functional ch tanks, 12 infantry fighting vehicles… 3 patrol helicopters. These equipnts can basically outfit 5 of our battalions.”
Luo Sheng was stunned for a mont, “Why are you so short on equipnt?”
Anastasia smiled helplessly:
“We have no choice. The Alliance and NASDAQ Group’s blockade on us is very strict. It’s extrely difficult for us to get even one vehicle, let alone spare parts from those city-states.”
The resistance organization had only been established in the last 7 or 8 years.
Their foundation was very weak. Although they could pose a threat to the Alliance’s rule, they still weren’t taken seriously, after all, the organization was too weak to wrestle with the Alliance.
“Don’t worry, you’ll rise up eventually. As they say, the countryside surrounds the cities, a single spark can start a prairie fire.”
Luo Sheng patted her fair and glossy hand to comfort her.
“Uh…” Anastasia hadn’t expected to be comforted by soone.
Then she said, “I want to make you a company commander. Would you accept?”
Luo Sheng thought for a mont, but still said, “Give it to Alice. I’ll have to leave again soon.”
“Alright, I envy her for having a man who can spoil her.” Anastasia sighed, then looked at him.
“You can find soone better.”
“I only like strong n.” Anastasia showed a sunny smile.
Luo Sheng skillfully changed the subject, “Can I interrogate this Commander McKesser first? He knows about Alice’s background, so I need to learn so things from him.”
“Of course, no problem. Do you need
to prepare tools?” Anastasia asked.
The Alliance prisoners they captured usually didn’t talk much, tools were necessary.
Because their families were in the hands of the Alliance, and they themselves had taken long-acting painkillers to damage the pain-sensing nerves in their brains, they weren’t afraid of severe torture, so they were particularly tight-lipped.
“No need, just give
a room,” Luo Sheng said, shaking his head.
“Alright.”
Anastasia looked at him strangely, her eyes filled with more curiosity.
Afterwards,
She arranged a spacious room about the size of a living room for Luo Sheng.
Everyone went outside, including Alice who waited outside.
In the room, McKesser was tied to an iron chair, with Luo Sheng standing in front of him.
McKesser still looked at Luo Sheng with disdain, laughing, “Your torture and interrogation thods won’t work on . I can’t feel any pain. Even if you sawed off my leg in front of , I wouldn’t flinch.”
“Is that so?” Luo Sheng smiled, “I’m quite humane, I won’t use such boring thods.”
Suddenly, an Oriental beauty walked out from the shadows.
She had fair skin and was beautiful, wearing a soft and smooth red silk dress, with a jeweled headpiece of various colors. She was an exquisitely beautiful woman.
She ca to Luo Sheng’s side and skillfully pinched his waist before looking at McKesser.
Luo Sheng was quite exasperated.
“Can’t you change this habit?”
“No,” Bai Moxue smiled with a budding expression.
McKesser was confused. When did a woman appear here? He clearly hadn’t seen her before.
