Chapter 606

Anton was also not alone. There were fiery tornadoes, devouring floods, shifting earth, massive trees that sprouted out from the ground that started walking and attacking the undead, and more appeared, and they ca from the wizards that were also inside the magic arrays placed on the walls of ndoza. The sheer variety and deadliness of the spells that bombarded the undead armies that were coming was a sight to behold.

Unfortunately, the undead armies from the coalition were not defenseless when it ca to magic. They also had powerful liches, necromancers, witches, warlocks, high-level vampires, and other evil spellcasters that defended their armies from the onslaught of spells that ca from the wizards of ndoza, and they, too, cast their offensive spells toward the walls of the kingdom.

Deadly purple and black rays, clouds of black luminescent bats, deadly vines that sprouted from the ground, black clouds that appeared out of nowhere that started raining deadly acid, violent black lightnings, and more were cast by the spellcasters from the undead horde.

Anton noticed that there were separate groups of wizards that were focused entirely on doing ritual spells inside magic arrays behind the wall that was casting defensive spells, and the spells of the undead spellcaster slamd with a titanic boom that shook Anton’s bones.

He did not let the attack spells from the enemy distract him and fully committed himself to trusting the defensive spells that the ndoza wizards cast. Anton did not stop casting his spell rotations. He treated himself like a machine, casting his spell rotation like clockwork. Anton took full advantage of two auras from the Paladin skill tree. One was the Vigor Aura that he was personally utilizing, and the second one was the ditation Aura from his Desert rcenary from the ga that was being reflected to him in real life. He did not even pay attention to the wizards beside him and was fully focused on casting his spells as if it were the last thing he would do in this world.

Anton saw that the enemy army reached the lee defenders, and those courageous fighters bravely t the undead without hesitation. The wizards could not cast offensive spells near the lee fighters for fear of affecting them. To help the lee defenders, Anton did not hold back anymore and summoned all of his summons from the Druid skill tree. He summoned his five Ravens, his five Spirit Wolves, his five Dire Wolves, and his Dire Bear. He also summoned his Gray Golem from the Necromancer skill tree, his Valkyrie from the Amazon skill tree, and the Shadow Master from the Assassin skill tree. If he could have summoned the skeletons from his Necromancer skill tree, he could have, but unfortunately, those summons might just cause confusion and a bad reputation for him.

He made sure that his summons was far enough away from the lee fighters so that his summons wouldn’t cause any chaos, but the defenders were observant enough to realize that a powerful group appeared from nowhere and started fighting the undead. In the anti, all of the wizards, including Anton, did not stop casting their spells.

Because of the sheer number of the undead army, Anton’s summons were quickly overrun, but before they all died off, they managed to bring down a huge number of enemies with them.

The main difference between Anton’s summons and ndoza’s lee defenders was the lee fighters from the kingdom was careful of not leaving the vicinity of the fortification that was created for their protection because they could imdiately return behind it to receive healing once they get injured but Anton’s summons were almost berserk in their behavior of not caring about their lives and attacking the undead carelessly.

The mont all of Anton’s summoned died, it appeared to him that the warriors of ndoza treated them as living beings who sacrificed themselves for the kingdom, and that brought a combination of grief and anger that caused the warriors to beco more ferocious as if they were saying, “Look at those unknown comrades who sacrificed themselves for us!”.

When Anton summoned all of his summons again, so of the ndoza warriors were confused as well, but then they finally realized that a special group of powerful beings had appeared. They were two powerful humans surrounded by powerful forest creatures and a golem, and apparently, they were immortal, and they fearlessly attacked the undead. If Anton knew that his summons had started to beco legendary on the battlefield, he would have laughed, but he wasn’t aware of that since all of his attention was still focused on casting his spell rotation. Anton would only summon his summons if he noticed that they were all dead.

Anton removed all other thoughts from his mind and truly allowed himself to behave as a machine. He cast his spells one after another, but still mindful that his spells were far enough away that they would not affect the lee warriors that were below the wall.

He would only stop for a few seconds if he noticed that his summons had all died. He would take the ti to summon them again, and he saw that the ndoza warriors had all recognized his summons as their own and were fighting alongside them. That allowed him to summon his minions nearer the lee fighters. At least, his summons would focus on guarding the ndoza warriors because they were a finite resource. At least the summons could be summoned again, but the powerful and desperate defenders of the kingdom of ndoza needed to be preserved.

What Anton did not know was that the ndoza defenders were starting to beco grateful towards his summons, who they thought were immortal warriors who were able to return from the dead. The immortal warriors seed desperate to save them, and the magical immortal warriors seed not to care that their actions would bring death upon themselves, which, in hindsight, was not that important since, for so reason, once the immortal warriors died, they would return after a few seconds.

Anton truly did not know that his summons was bringing up the morale of the lee defenders beneath the wall. He was still focused on casting his spells relentlessly, although if he was being honest, it felt to him that 70 to 80 percent of his spells were blocked by the defensive spells of the undead spellcasters. He did not mind it, though, with the ditation Aura from his rcenary inside his ga able to support his mana consumption and his own Vigor Aura that kept his stamina full, Anton was at his peak from the start without his output dipping down even after what felt like several hours of spellcasting.

Finally, Anton saw that the undead retreated into the west. That signaled the end of the battle for that night. When he checked the ti in his System Browser inside his Diablo II system, he saw that it was past four in the morning. That ant that he had been casting his spells for more than four hours. He looked beside him and noticed that the wizards beside him were from a different group since he did not recognize anyone of them.

Anton was a little confused, but then Cedon appeared and led him to the room where he and his current wizard’s squad t.

“I’m truly impressed by your magical stamina. We observed your spellcasting, and your power output did not decrease; and spells that you were casting were the sa from start to finish. We decided to let you stay while the rest of us were replaced by the second group,” Cedon told Anton.
