The second class instructor was mostly the sa as the first one—a no-nonsense type who went directly to his lectures. The teacher for the class “Foundation of Magic” was nad High Wizard Nando. His class was all about the origin of magic, like how it was discovered and what energy mana was theoretically composed of. Even though it was supposed to be a basic class, the lesson was incredibly complex.
The lesson was treated as a basic class because normally, a mage from a family would tackle these lessons first. Only those who beca mages informally would want to return to learning the foundational knowledge of wizardry, and that was only if they had beco comfortably wealthy enough to join a magic academy or hire a wizard tutor.
The first two lecturers almost rushed through their lessons, and Anton was thankful that he was able to record the classes so he could go back to them anyti he wanted. At first, he was comfortable with his intelligence, thinking that with it, he could tackle any knowledge he wanted, but again, he underestimated the knowledge needed to make sure that he was up to standard as a wizard for this world.
Of course, not all spellcaster was educated to the standard of a wizard academy graduate. But the fact of the matter was, according to Frederick, only those who were educated could truly reach the rank of Invincibles.
Most mages, especially those who were adventurers, did not have the ti to spend educating themselves, so at most, they would reach the rank of High Wizard, which was admittedly incredibly powerful in terms of adventuring.
After the lesson ended, Anton felt a bit haggard, and when he looked around, everyone was the sa. The amount of knowledge that spewed out from the mouths of those two lecturers was incredibly abundant. The only thing that he was thankful for was that the only howork that was assigned to them was to read the books their teachers gave them.
Anton and the other five students waited for the next lecturer since the assigned classroom for that one was the sa one as where they were, and after a couple of minutes, the lecturer arrived. This lesson was called the Basic of Spellcrafting. This teacher, called the High Wizard Dianne, was different from the first two. She was slow and seed like she didn’t care about the ti’s passage, even though her lecture was supposed to only last for an hour.
High Wizard Dianne actually wasted everyone’s ti by asking everyone to introduce themselves. When the introduction reached Anton, High Wizard Dianne actually gasped when she learned that Anton was an archmage, which baffled him. When she interviewed him when he signed up for the class, he already told her his wizardly rank.
Anton was reminded of Professor Trelawny from the Harry Potter series, but that was fine with him since at least all of the students would be able to catch their breath.
When the lesson started, which happened at the latter half of the hour, the only thing Anton could say was that the High Wizard Dianne was qualified to teach the lesson. Just like the first two teachers, she was incredibly knowledgeable, at least on the topic that she was teaching them.
After the lesson ended, one of Anton’s classmates reintroduced himself and invited them to eat at a well-known, affordable restaurant nearby, and everyone accepted. While they were walking there, Anton was thankful that these lessons were only scheduled three tis a week since he felt he would need the ti alone to revisit all the knowledge that the teachers taught, including reading the books that they were given.
Anton’s classmates were Edward, Fiona, Helios, Rundall, and Minerva. While they were eating, they talked about a lot of things. They were now comfortable with Anton even though he was supposed to be an archmage since his age and behavior were the sa as his classmates.
“Can you explain how you beca an archmage at an incredibly young age? All of us here are only rank one wizards,” Rundall said.
“I’m a farr’s son, and we theorized that my bloodline magic awakened because of the Undead Coalition’s attack and the danger that our family was going to face back then. We then found out that the magic in my bloodline was incredibly rich, and it allowed us to escape from the undead. We faced armies of the undead, all types of vampires, and liches. My bloodline magic also allowed
to create enchanted items, and that also helped
and my family to survive comfortably while running from the undead. When we reached Zalnothel, the wizards there tested my rank, and they said that my power reached the rank of archmage, but as you all know, my knowledge of the standard magic was left behind, so here am I. I’m just glad that we now have the ti for
to fill in those gaps in my knowledge,” Anton said to everyone.
After he had shared that information, his classmates shared theirs, and it was mostly the sa as his. That they were sons and daughters of rchants or adventurers and even farrs just like Anton, and they found out that they could be mages while they were on the run. Just like Anton, their families now depended on them since wizards would be the backbone in any family.
When they were done eating lunch, they still wanted to spend ti together to get to know each other more since they all felt that they would get along with each other, but they had to return to their families just like Anton. Everyone had responsibilities in their family that they needed to do.
When Anton arrived at their rooms, no one was there. That ant that everyone was still busy with their business, so he went to his room and entered his Diablo II system. The first thing that Anton did was to create so enchanted items, so he spent an hour creating so and was able to complete three magic items. After that, he leveled up his Assassin character and spent the remainder of the afternoon doing that.
After a couple of hours, though, Anton heard everyone returning, and the mages busied themselves practicing their magic.
His leveling up was interrupted, though, at around five in the afternoon. His friends Torun, Blake, Alia, and Soren arrived. They wanted to invite him for so fun ti, but he told them that he wouldn’t be able to leave the rooms since he needed to focus on his magic.
He inford his friends that he would only be available during the weekends.
His friends looked down for a bit, but they told him that they understood and they left. He did want to go with them but he had already promised his family that he would stay in the afternoon. They needed him to stay so they could practice magic.
During dinner, Anton told everyone that he would remain in the suite during the afternoons until evening, and that ant that the mages could practice their magic then, but Saturday and Sundays would be his ti to spend anywhere he wanted.
Everyone agreed since they all wanted to have so form of rest as well, just like him.
“Hey, Anton! I
thought we’re supposed to have a Kraken feast today?” Anna suddenly asked while they were eating dinner.
“I forgot about that,” Anton laly said, but everyone just laughed.
“Don’t worry, son, we can celebrate at a later ti. You know what? Why don’t we schedule the celebration?” Anders said.
Selena, Norma, and Belue then announced that they would handle the celebration since it was supposed to be celebrating them joining the family. The party was scheduled for Monday afternoon next week. Anton told them that they could just tell him whenever they wanted to ask for the Kraken at, and Anders just told him to give the at now to his father since Anders could keep the at on his spatial item and it would remain fresh as well, so Anton gave several kilos of the stuff.
