With the slight touch of Sunwoo’s hand gripping his collar, Kang Jinwook halted abruptly, turning his head to check who it was.

“Ho…”

Sunwoo, unable to open his eyes, whispered weakly. Just that one word made Kang Jinwook forget about the Oga pheromones that had gripped him earlier.

Kang Jinwook held Sunwoo closer and began to walk. The best thing to do right now was to take him upstairs to the guest room and call a doctor.

But seeing Sunwoo, who had lost consciousness yet still longed for ho, Kang Jinwook felt that perhaps he should give in to his wishes.

“You said I was treating you recklessly.”

That was what others might think. But it had always been Kang Jinwook, himself, who had been the one pushed around in their relationship.

Of course, Sunwoo probably didn’t realize that.

“Have the car ready.”

Kang Jinwook commanded the guard who was following closely behind. The guard nodded and quickly rushed ahead. By the ti they exited the park, the car was already waiting, the door held open.

Kang Jinwook, still holding Sunwoo, climbed into the car. As the door closed, the faint pheromones Sunwoo had emitted earlier beca apparent again.

Kang Jinwook’s gaze shifted to Sunwoo, who had fallen asleep in his arms.

No way, that can’t be right. He had always hoped for this, but he never once considered such a possibility. Whenever they had t again, Sunwoo had always felt like a Beta.

But once that suspicion had planted itself in his mind, it shook him.

Perhaps... yes. If what he was sensing now wasn’t just his imagination.

Kang Jinwook lowered his head. His face brushed against Sunwoo’s neck, and once again, the more intense Oga pheromones drifted into his nose.

His face hardened. A strange sensation passed through his eyes before it vanished.

“Director, we’ve arrived.”

The driver stopped the car and inford him that they had reached their destination. Even then, Kang Jinwook kept his face pressed against Sunwoo’s neck.

A little more ti passed, and Kang Jinwook sat up, his expression neutral. The driver quickly exited the car, opened the rear door, and stepped aside.

As Kang Jinwook stepped out of the car, Sunwoo was still cradled in his arms. It was the sa position as before, as if he were a princess, being carried.

Without hesitation, Kang Jinwook stepped into the house. His height, over 190 centiters, almost touched the low ceiling.

Kang Jinwook scanned the house and imdiately located the bedroom. He tossed his shoes aside carelessly and turned left.

Though the bedroom was dark without the lights on, it looked cozy. Kang Jinwook gently laid Sunwoo on the bed.

From the open window, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore could be heard. Sunwoo, lying on the bed, let out a long sigh. His breath carried the sweet, apple-like fragrance, fragrant and cloying.

Once Kang Jinwook realized whose pheromones were filling the air, there was no longer any room for confusion.

With lowered eyes, Kang Jinwook carefully traced Sunwoo’s forehead, his cheek, his lips, and then down to his neck. Once again, he pressed his nose to Sunwoo’s neck.

It wasn’t a mistake. These were definitely the pheromones of an Oga.

Kang Jinwook’s face froze, and he looked up, his gaze fixated on a small window frad in front of him. No, his eyes were locked on sothing attached beneath the window.

Kang Jinwook’s dark eyes stared at it intently.

"Did I... dream?"

The first thing Sunwoo said when he woke up was a question. The familiar ceiling above him made it clear. He had definitely been in the park behind Kim Tae-yeol’s hotel before losing consciousness.

He turned his gaze toward the window. Beyond the small square, the clear, blue sky was visible, as if it were an autumn day. However, it didn’t feel like morning.

Sunwoo fumbled around the area next to his head. He usually kept his phone there before going to sleep. But there was no hard or lukewarm object to be found.

"What’s going on? Where am I?"

Sunwoo sat up fully and scanned the area around his pillow and the bed, but still, there was no phone.

He tried to recall the events before he fell asleep.

The forced dinner due to Kim Tae-yeol, the sight of a drunk Im Haewon in the bathroom, then discovering the thugs surrounding the missing Im Haewon...

“Ugh! Kang Jinwook.”

Sunwoo recalled eting Kang Jinwook and swallowed nervously. He quickly got off the bed. He rembered that Kang Jinwook had suddenly appeared and beaten the thugs who had been about to attack him.

Then, without hesitation, he sent Im Haewon to Secretary Gwak and, with an angry frown, suddenly released a wave of pheromones.

Sunwoo rembered all of that, but the rest was a blur. It seed like he must have passed out after that.

He carefully left the bedroom and checked the living room, then walked into the kitchen. But there was no sign of Kang Jinwook.

He even checked the bathroom, but there was no trace of him either. It felt like a dream, as if Kang Jinwook had never been there.

Ding-dong.

At that mont, a cheerful notification sound rang out. Sunwoo looked in the direction of the sound and saw his phone sitting on the living room table. Beside it were a clear plastic container and a bottle of so kind of drink.

He walked over, picked up the phone, and checked the screen. A pop-up notification indicated a new ssage.

[Are you still not awake?]

When he opened the ssaging app, he saw there were five ssages from Kang Jinwook. Sunwoo clicked on the chat.

The ssages started with him ntioning he had to leave for sothing urgent, then followed by "Did you wake up?" "Eat sothing." "Still asleep?" and "Call

when you wake up."

When Sunwoo saw the ssage reminding him to eat, he chuckled in disbelief. It seed like Kang Jinwook was the only one recently concerned about his health.

“Funny, really…”

Who would think of him as an obsessive bastard? He couldn’t help but feel that this version of Kang Jinwook was so different from the character in the original story.

At this point, the story’s developnt had clearly diverged from the original. Or perhaps it was just because Sunwoo had entered this world, causing things to change.

"What’s going on?"

Sunwoo scratched his cheek at the absurdity of his own thoughts. He opened the lunchbox Kang Jinwook had left.

Inside were small sandwiches, the perfect size for one or two bites, and a fresh fruit salad that still seed to retain its freshness.

“What is this?”

He was baffled by how kind and thoughtful this was. Just like last ti. He had no idea why Kang Jinwook would bring sothing like this.

Moreover, it was all healthy food. Sunwoo turned on the cara and snapped a picture. The photo wasn’t perfect, but at least the focus was right, and it wasn’t shaky. That should be good enough.

[Woke up. Gonna eat now.]

As soon as he sent the ssage, the phone rang again. Sunwoo saw Kang Jinwook’s na pop up on the screen, and he pouted before answering.

“Why call

when you could’ve just sent a ssage?”

How are you feeling?

Despite Sunwoo’s sowhat irritated tone, Kang Jinwook’s ssage ca straight to the point.

Sunwoo puffed out his cheeks again and replied, “I slept well. Just a bit dazed, but I’m fine.”

After giving his answer, there was no reply from Kang Jinwook.

“Why so quiet?”

Sunwoo wondered if the call had been cut off and pulled the phone away from his ear. He checked the screen, but the call was still connected.

“Kang Jinwook.”

Sunwoo called his na first. He thought he heard a small sigh on the other end, but he wasn’t sure. Kang Jinwook sighing didn’t seem to fit at all.

Make sure you chew carefully and finish everything. Don’t leave anything behind.

“What’s with that? Why are you saying stuff like that?”

Why was Kang Jinwook acting so strangely? Sunwoo shrugged his shoulders and shivered like he was cold. He couldn’t tell if Kang Jinwook was aware of his condition, but there was still no response.

Instead, he heard the sound of paper shuffling, so it seed like Kang Jinwook was busy.

“Did you eat lunch?”

Sunwoo asked, rembering it was lunchti. It was strange, but he couldn’t recall ever seeing Kang Jinwook eat anything in the original story, or even in real life.

Not yet.

“You should eat too. Don’t skip als.”

A faint, almost empty laugh ca through the phone.

“Kang Jinwook.”

Got it. You eat well. Take it easy today. I’ll co over later.

“Co over? What do you an?”

Jeju Island wasn’t exactly close by, so hearing him talk like he was about to drive there felt absurd.

It seems like we have things to discuss.

“Things to discuss…?”

Sunwoo was about to ask what he ant by that but paused. There were things like yesterday’s events, and the house that Kang Jinwook had bought without permission. Plus, the date they had agreed upon was getting close.

He could be rushing to deal with things today, even though the deadline was tomorrow.

“Alright.”

Maybe Kang Jinwook had planned to drag him along as soon as the week was up. Technically, it was supposed to be the eighth day, not the seventh.

Kang Jinwook probably wasn’t even thinking about that, but Sunwoo, annoyed, responded curtly.

Kang Jinwook ended the call without saying anything else.

“Always so busy going back and forth here…”

Even after only two days as his assistant, Sunwoo knew how hectic Kang Jinwook’s life was. In the original story, Kang Jinwook worked 72 hours a day, breaking his ti into small chunks.

He also ran three other subsidiaries besides Taesung Construction: the investnt company he founded, and energy and advertising companies assigned by Chairman Kang.

And on top of that, he had a ton of other tasks that he had to deal with, often finishing what his subordinate, Vice President Kang Jeongtae, couldn't manage.

“Shouldn’t you be resting instead of coming here?”

Living this busy life, why would he co here? He should be at ho resting.

And his personality was strange too.
