Chapter 62: Chapter 62

A R I A N A

I was sitting in the living room, watching television while i waited for Dante to co ho, we were supposed to have dinner together and he promised to return early but where was he?

I was feeling nervous Esralda’s words were stuck in my head tell him the truth, the longer you wait, the worse it will be.

No!

I can’t tell him the truth, I shouldn’t even be thinking of that, I have better things to worry about, getting those papers are my top priority.

I sat up when the living room door opened thing it was Dante but to my utmost suprise, It was Marco.

"Mrs. Russo," he said, giving

a small nod. "I am sorry to bother you."

"It is okay," I said, muting the television. "What is it?"

"Mr. Russo sent

to co get you," he said. His voice was flat, like he was just doing a job.

"Get ?" I asked, confused. "Where is he? Is everything okay?"

"Mr. Russo is at the airport," Marco replied.

"The airport?" My heart started to beat faster. Why was he at the airport? Was he leaving? "Why? What is happening? Where is he going?"

Marco shook his head. "I am sorry, Mrs. Russo I was given strict orders not to say anything my job is just to bring you to him.... He is waiting."

I stared at him orders not to say anything? That did not sound good a cold feeling of fear started in my stomach. Did he find out about my secret? Was he sending

away?

But Marco’s face gave nothing away he just stood there, waiting for

to follow him.

"Okay," I said slowly, standing up. My legs felt weak. "Sure. Let

just get my things."

I went upstairs on shaky legs and grabbed my phone and my tablet.

My mind was racing.

What was happening? Why were we going to the airport?

I followed Marco out to the car he held the door open for

and I got in.

As the car drove toward the airport, I could only hope that everything was fine but the worry in my heart was growing bigger and bigger with every mile.

What was going on? Why the sudden trip?

The car drove right onto the airport tarmac.

We did not go to the normal terminal we drove straight to where the private jets were.

Marco stopped the car next to a huge, beautiful white jet on the side, in big, bold letters, were the initials DR.

Dante Russo.

I just stared.

My mouth was probably hanging open I knew Dante was rich very rich if I just say but this... this was sothing else.

My God, how loaded is Dante Russo? How much money does he really have? What’s his networth?

For the first ti, I started to really understand why my father saw Dante as the ultimate financial breakthrough this kind of wealth was power.

Absolute power.

A woman in a perfect uniform greeted

at the steps of the jet as she bowed her head. "Welco, Mrs. Russo. Mr. Russo is waiting for you inside."

I walked up the steps, my heart beating fast the inside of the jet was like a fancy, small apartnt

The hostess pointed to the bedroom. "He is in there, ma’am."

I took a deep breath and opened the door.

I walked in finding him sitting on the edge of a bed, talking on his phone his voice was low and all business.

But when he saw , his whole face changed his eyes lit up as a smile spread across his face.

"I have to call you back," he said into the phone and hung up without waiting for an answer.

He stood up and opened his arms. "You ca."

I walked into his embrace he slled so good. Like expensive cologne and safety.

He held

tight for a mont, then he sat back down on the bed and pulled

onto his lap.

I giggled, a little surprised.

He did not say anything but just cupped my face and kissed .

It was a deep, slow kiss that made my head spin.

When we broke apart, I was breathless. "What is all this?" I asked, looking around the luxurious room. "Why are we on a jet? Where are we going?"

He smiled, a secret, happy smile. "It is a surprise."

I sat on his lap, my arms around his neck. "Please tell ," I said, looking into his eyes as the curiosity ate

up.

He shook his head, still smiling. "I cannot tell you, if I tell you, it will ruin the surprise You will find out soon, I promise... you just have to be a little bit patient."

He kissed my nose. "I am sorry it was such short notice it was a last-minute decision"

I was still curious, but I also felt happy he planned a surprise for

he wanted to do sothing nice.

God!

I really don’t deserve this man.

"Okay," I said, leaning my head against his shoulder. "I will wait for the surprise."

We sat like that for a while, just holding each other, the jet’s engine was a soft hum in the background.

"Are you hungry?" he asked. "We have food or tired? The bed is very comfortable."

"Maybe a little of both," I said.

He laughed. "We can do both."

He called the hostess and asked for food to be brought to the room and he lay back on the bed, pulling

with him as lay there together,

Dante pulled back just a little, his dark eyes looking

up and down. "Did I tell you how sexy you look?" he whispered, his voice rough. "So ravishing."

I blushed.

I was only wearing simple jeans and a soft t-shirt but there was a way he looked at

that always made

feel different, beautiful.

He leaned in and started trailing soft kisses down my neck his lips were warm as kiss sent a little shiver through .

I bit my lower lip, trying to stay quiet.

"God, you drive

crazy," he cursed under his breath, his voice full of want he claid my lips again in a deep, hungry kiss that made my head spin.

A knock sounded on the bedroom door interrupting

Dante pulled back with a groan as he cursed again, louder this ti.

He looked so frustrated, I couldn’t help but giggle.

He glared at , but there was no real anger in it. "This is not funny," he grumbled, but a small smile played on his lips too.

We sat up, Dante straightened his shirt. "Co in!" he called out, his voice back to its normal, commanding tone.
