Chapter 59: Too Broken

??Oliver’s POV

??The submissive was already there, kneeling on the plush rug. She was beautiful in a conventional way—a lithe body, dark hair, and a submissive gaze that should have settled the storm in my chest.

??"Master," she whispered, her voice a practiced silken purr.

??"Get to work," I commanded, sitting back on the velvet sofa. My jaw was locked so tight it ached. I wanted to erase the mory of Aurora’s smile. I wanted to drown out the sound of Oscar’s voice telling

I was too broken to love.

??The girl moved between my legs with practiced grace. She unzipped my fly, her fingers nimble. When she took

into her mouth, I closed my eyes, waiting for the release, waiting for the familiar spark of pleasure to override the jealousy.

She was good—her tongue was warm, her movents rhythmic and deep. I could feel the heat building in my gut, the physical reaction my body couldn’t ignore.

??But my mind was a traitor.

??Every ti she looked up at , I didn’t see her. I saw Aurora. I saw the way her sea-blue eyes flashed with fire when she was angry. I saw the curve of her neck. My wolf wasn’t howling with pleasure; it was pacing, baring its teeth, disgusted by the touch of a stranger.

??"You just want a submissive to satisfy your dark fantasies," Oscar’s voice echoed in my skull. "But Aurora isn’t made for that world."

??The girl increased her pace, her hands roaming over my thighs, trying to pull a moan from my throat. I should have been lost in it. I should have been pinning her down and taking what I wanted. But instead, I felt a wave of cold revulsion.

??It wasn’t her. The scent was all wrong. There was no cedar, no rain, no sweet alluring spark that made my blood sing. It was just skin on skin, empty and hollow. I leaned down, intending to claim her mouth, to lose myself in the heat of a stranger. But the mont my lips were inches from hers, my brain locked.

??The scent was wrong.

??It wasn’t the sweet, alluring scent of the girl at the bar. It didn’t make my wolf howl or my heart race. It just made

feel sick. I stared at the girl’s face, but all I could see was Aurora’s pale skin and the way she had looked at

with those defiant, sea eyes.

I pulled away, but she took my hesitation for a challenge and went back to sucking my cock.

but I felt irritated.

??"Stop," I rasped.

??She didn’t hear

over the low thrum of the music outside. She leaned in closer, her hair brushing against my skin, trying to finish what she started.

??"I said STOP!" I roared.

??The Alpha power in my voice hit the small room like a physical blow. The girl recoiled, stumbling back onto the floor, her eyes wide with genuine terror. She scrambled to cover herself, trembling.

??"Master, I... I’m sorry, did I do sothing wrong?"

??"Get out," I said, my voice shaking with a rage I couldn’t control. I stood up, fixing my clothes with jerky, violent movents. "Get out before I lose my mind."

??She didn’t wait. She grabbed her things and bolted, the door slamming shut behind her.

??I stood in the red-lit silence, breathing hard. I took off the mask and looked at my reflection in the dark glass of the wall. I looked like a king, but I felt like a beggar. I was so pathetic that I couldn’t even find pleasure in the things that used to define . Oscar was right—I was broken. I was obsessed with a woman who didn’t even know my real na, and I was losing her to the one man I hated most in this world.

??I shoved the coffee table with my foot, sending it crashing against the wall. I was a ss. A pathetic, jealous ss.

??I walked over to the small bar in the room and poured a glass of neat vodka, drinking it until my throat felt like it was on fire. I needed to see her. I needed to know she wasn’t still out there smiling at that bastard.

??I grabbed my mask, shoved it back onto my face, and stord out of the room.

??I turned the corner back into the main club area, my eyes searching the bar. But the bar stand was empty; Aurora was gone.

??My heart plumted. I looked at Oscar, who was still sitting there, twirling a drink with a smug look on his face. He caught my eye and raised his glass.

??"Finished so soon, brother? I expected the Alpha King to have more... endurance."

??I didn’t give him the satisfaction of a response. My gaze was already scanning the room, my heart hamring against my ribs until I saw her. Aurora walked out from the back hallway, now dressed in her regular clothes, her face set in a tired line.

??Oscar didn’t miss a beat. He stood up, smoothing his jacket with an effortless charm that made my blood boil. "Aurora," he said, his voice smooth as silk. "I’ll take you ho. It’s late, and the streets around here aren’t safe for soone as beautiful as you."

??Aurora looked at him, then her eyes flickered to . She nodded slowly. "Thank you, Alpha Oscar. I’d appreciate that."

??"No," I growled, stepping forward until I was a wall of muscle between them. "I will take her."

??Aurora’s eyes flashed with a sudden, cold fury. She glared at . "You?" she spat. "Why are you back here, Raymond? Don’t you have a submissive waiting in a private room for you? Go back to your ’play.’ I’m going with Oscar."

??I ignored her words. I ignored the sting of her rejection. Every instinct in my wolf was screaming that if she got into that car with him, I would lose her forever. Oscar has his way of winning the hearts of ladies, and I couldn’t let it happen.

??"Let’s go," I said, my voice vibrating with command.

??"I said I’m going with Oscar!" she snapped, turning to walk toward my brother.

??I didn’t argue. I didn’t plead. I moved faster than her human eyes could follow. In one swift motion, I reached out and hoisted her up, throwing her lightly over my shoulder.

??"What are you doing?! Put

down!" she scread, her fists drumming against my back. She kicked her legs, her heels hitting my chest, but I ignored her as if she were a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.

??I looked at Oscar. I expected him to react. I expected him to challenge , to start the fight he had promised. But he just stood there, his hands in his pockets, a dark, knowing smirk playing on his lips. He was watching

lose my mind, watching

prove every word he’d said about

being a monster.

??I marched out of the club, the heavy bass fading into the cool night air. I reached my car—the blacked-out beast parked in the VIP spot—and yanked the passenger door open.

??I dropped her into the leather seat. She imdiately scrambled to get out, her face red with rage, but I leaned in, blocking her exit with my body. I gripped the doorfra, my knuckles tight, my mask-covered face inches from hers.

??"Sit. Still," I commanded, the Alpha power bleeding into my tone.

??"You can’t do this! I’m not one of your submissives, you arrogant—"

??"It’s either you sit still," I interrupted, my voice cracking with a desperate, raw tone, "or I will go back inside, get a set of cuffs, and chain you to this seat. Do not test

tonight, Aurora. I am not in the mood."
