Why Did I Have to Enroll - Chapter 204
Lesson 40. No Alien Allowed - 4
Centered around the flagship, the Orc’s fleet transford into a teor shower, numbering well over a thousand ships. Even a single large asteroid crashing into Earth could devastate the planet, so this massive teor shower? This wasn’t just a re expression of wanting Ban Yu-won.
Watching this, Ban Yu-won realized that the intentions of the person orchestrating this operation, the Young Lord, might not align with those of the Constellation.
‘The Young Lord gave orders without much thought, but the Constellation had a different plan. The Constellation’s target is… still our sister! That teor shower is aid at her!’
Thanks to the Young Lord preparing the Orc Wave, the Constellation could unleash its power. Pretending to lend its strength to the Young Lord, the Constellation struck at the critical mont.
To the Constellation, Ban Yu-won was of no interest. Whether or not he was secured, the Constellation intended to launch a massive attack on Earth from the start. Whether it was to kill his sister with the teor shower or use so unknown power to capture her… Either way, Earth was in danger.
“We have to stop it.”
Reacting to Ban Yu-won’s instinctive muttering was a self-proclaid grandmother wearing a suspicious hood, Nine.
“I guess it’s my turn.”
With an air that brooked no argunt, she raised both hands, and mysteriously, part of the teor shower targeting Earth vanished, while the rest slowed significantly. With the help of the All-Reading Eyes and the Origin Blade, Ban Yu-won managed to discern concepts related to space within it. Nine possessed the ability to interfere with space!
‘These Platinum mbers are all extraordinary.’
It was baffling. How did Yumina gather such individuals? Why would such people rush to Earth as fan club Platinum mbers and reinforcents?
As he shivered amidst deepening mysteries, Nine exhaled deeply and stepped back.
“The follower of Ten Thousand Flas is serious. I should have brought more relics.”
“Each of those teors contains the Magic Power and Wildness of hundreds of thousands of Orcs. It’s already a blessing that you managed to stop this much after the Constellation strengthened them.”
Though Nine’s identity remained unknown, it was clear she was trying to protect Earth, so Ban Yu-won politely thanked her. Then, after taking a deep breath, he summoned Lilith in the form of a bike and mounted it.
“I’ll handle the rest.”
“Master?!”
Luciel rushed over in shock, but Ban Yu-won stopped her with one hand.
“Luciel, you’ve already overexerted yourself. Take this and rest.”
What he offered was a kind of tonic, a mix of his usual hot chocolate with a special ingredient. While it had excellent recovery effects, it was nowhere near the level of the miraculous candy, essentially telling Luciel not to fight anymore.
Luciel approached with a defiant expression.
“If I take your candy, I can—”
“It’s omnipotent, but it’s not an elixir of immortality. If you exhaust yourself again after recovering, there’s no turning back. Rest now, Luciel.”
“I’ll go too!”
“You handle those Orcs.”
Aneri, who had boldly stepped forward, was tasked with dealing with the remaining Orc fleet. In truth, Aneri had no ans to handle the teor shower and simply wanted to show her affection and loyalty, so she was secretly relieved.
Reading her mind, Ban Yu-won chuckled and, riding Lilith, charged toward the teor shower.
‘Can I do it? There’s a mix of materials.’
Ban Yu-won had a natural ability to absorb thrown attacks, whether bullets or massive rocks, as they beca independent concepts once they left their owner’s hand. However, he couldn’t absorb completed magic or Swordsmanship, as they had separate owners and were controlled.
Now, the teor shower raining down on Earth clearly contained the Constellation’s power and the Orcs’ concepts mixed within…
‘It would have been easier if it were a real teor shower.’
The more he examined it, the more he realized how horrifically it was constructed. It wasn’t just about setting the Orc fleet on fire and crashing them into Earth. The Orcs making up the Orc Wave were effectively dominated by relics imbued with the Constellation’s power. The Constellation used this to compress and fuse countless Orc bodies and ships into a new teor form!
Most of the Orcs sacrificed in the Constellation’s bold sche died, but those who didn’t scread in resentnt, resonating with the teors—each one becoming a massive biological bomb.
‘Absorbing the concept of a living being is different from blocking simple Swordsmanship or magic.’
Yet, Ban Yu-won still had a chance. The Constellation had mistakenly used the wrong materials in creating the teor shower. With his Flowing Origin Art and Origin Blade now complete, he could interfere with others’ domains. Even against biological bombs, he could potentially steal concepts.
And if he failed, he had a few backup plans, so he wasn’t recklessly charging to his death.
“Lilith, let’s stop the teor shower!”
[Well, if we must.]
Utilizing the line he taught her to shout whenever entering the atmosphere, Lilith launched forward. Cutting through space without hesitation, she charged to intercept the teor shower, stopping in orbit where Earth lood large below. Ban Yu-won narrowed his eyes and raised his arms.
[Are you borrowing power from Earthlings?!]
“Earthlings don’t have that kind of power.”
The only power he could rely on was his own and that of his ‘companions.’
“Eve… Abyss!”
Crack.
It sounded like stones breaking. As his beloved companions, who could never be altered or controlled by anyone but Ban Yu-won, intervened in the Constellation’s large-scale teor creation, part of the teor shattered. The crack grew, emitting a terrible sound that would have ruptured Ban Yu-won’s eardrums if not in space.
[Aaah, I feel the Resonance!]
“Destroy it all! Grind it all down!”
Of course, their power alone wasn’t enough. That’s why Ban Yu-won lent them all the strength he could. He charged in, breaking them apart, absorbing concepts from within, and causing the teors to collide with each other. It was the mont when nearly a tenth of the massive magic constructed by the Constellation was dismantled.
“And now!”
Though not in perfect condition, if the biological bombs were no longer biological, it was Ban Yu-won’s turn to act. He unleashed his power with all his might. The golden magic extending from his hands transford into sturdy ropes, penetrating the gaps in the teor shower, striking the teors reduced to re matter, and extracting their concepts!
[You have gained 1,350 Wildness.]
[You have gained 3 Synthesis.]
[You have gained 1 Diamond.]
[You have gained 10 teor.]
[You have gained 5 Star Trace.]
[You have gained 3 Crimson Fla.]
Ban Yu-won’s eyes widened. Although the amount was far less compared to the imnse scale of the teor shower, he succeeded in extracting so. If the Constellation had descended directly, it would have been impossible, but he had won the struggle against it. While the Flowing Origin Art and Origin Blade helped, it was primarily his power advancing a step forward.
‘Of course, this alone can’t make the teor shower disappear, but still…!’
Within the red teors, part of the balanced concepts was drawn out, initiating a full-scale collision. Just like a beautifully layered cocktail shaken and mixed into a ss, the ticulously controlled teor shower by the Constellation began to collapse, causing even greater explosions!
[You have gained 1,725 Wildness.]
[You have gained 5 Diamond.]
[You have gained 4 Crimson Fla.]
[You have gained 19 teor.]
[You have gained 6 Synthesis.]
[You have gained 11 Star Trace.]
Naturally, the amount of concepts Ban Yu-won could extract increased. So concepts seed oddly out of place, but there was no ti to ponder them now. He planned to examine them later.
―Sssst!
Of course, Ban Yu-won’s exhilarating performance didn’t last. The teor shower’s speed increased, and soon Eve and Abyss were ejected from within. Eve, who had been joyfully drilling through the teors, returned to Ban Yu-won’s arms in her tattered snake form.
“You did well, Eve. Against the Constellation, you did incredibly well.”
“Sss, sss…”
Eve seed downcast for not completely stopping the teor shower, but even breaking apart 20% of it was a significant achievent. Combined with Ban Yu-won’s power, they destroyed nearly 40% of the teors, a result that would shock anyone familiar with the Constellation’s power, not just those at Union Academy.
“So, what about the rest…?”
―Gwoooooooo
The massive red stars closed in on Ban Yu-won. Though it was hard to grasp their scale from a distance, the sight of thousands of teors filling the sky, capable of crushing his hotown, was suffocating.
‘So far, I’ve gained, but from now on, it requires permanent expenditure…’
But there was no choice. Determined to repay the followers of Ten Thousand Flas and the Prominence family in so way later, Ban Yu-won gritted his teeth and pulled out a Code Core from his pocket. The golden strings he grasped from within clearly took the form of Death and Divinity.
―Saaaaaa
But just as he was about to act, part of the teor shower that had approached him vanished cleanly, as if erased by an eraser, unable to co any closer. One by one, they disappeared. The teor shower, accelerating and narrowing its scale, seed intent on striking down Ban Yu-won, but it was ultimately obliterated by a mysterious barrier.
“…Huh?”
No, it wasn’t that they couldn’t approach him. Ban Yu-won turned around, certain of it. It was Earth. Earth, wrapped in golden light, was shimring, blocking the teor shower and the Constellation.
Imdiately afterward, though Ban Yu-won didn’t see it, a notification appeared before everyone on Earth.
―Expelling aliens from Earth.
