Standing in front of the maid’s quarter, Richard eyed the closed door. The mont he heard from Stella about Tori’s well-being, he decided to check on her.

Richard might hate the girl for who she was but he wasn’t heartless like her. That humanity in him didn’t let him slip this matter, not when he already knows about it.

Thinking for so ti, he finally knocked on the door. At first, he thought, Tori might be acting as if it must be her plan to sneak out of the house, but when the door opened his eyes widen in shock.

A pale weak Tori stood in front of him. She looked so tired that she didn’t even bother to look at who was standing in front of her.

"Do you want

to call the doctor" It was his words that made her raise her eyes and it was a surprised look that he got in return.

Tori didn’t expect Richard to show up in front of her door but now that he was here she couldn’t help but respond," No thanks, I am fine" With that, she was about to close the door when everything started to spin around her eyes and she almost fell on the ground.

"Tori..." Richard quickly grab hold of her hand and stopped her body from colliding with the floor. It was then he realized she was burning with fever.

Taking her back to the bed Richard helps her lie on the bed. He then pulled out his phone and called the doctor.

All this ti Tori kept her eyes on the old man. She was too tired to fight him back and let him do everything he wished.

After so ti, a doctor ca and checked her. She had a high fever and the doctor suggested she take proper rest. Prescribing the dicines, the doctor left. It was only Richard and her in the room.

"I will ask soone to fetch the dicines for you" she heard the old man say as she watched him turn to leave.

"Why are you being so nice to " Tori’s weak words made Richard stop and he turned to look at her. Though her eyes looked tired he didn’t fail to notice the restlessness in them.

He wondered what made such a young girl turn heartless.

Shoving off his thoughts he answered with a straight face," I am not heartless like you. Even if you are against , I will still choose humanity over my hate" saying Richard turned and left the room leaving Tori speechless.

Wiping off the tears from the corner of her eyes Tori slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The first day of the shoot went smoothly with Bernard praising all the actors. He was also quite impressed with Riel who did a marvelous job even though he was new in the acting field.

Biding their goodbyes, Ashley and Miley reached the parking area where Jack was already waiting for them.

His eyes sparkled at the sight of Miley who also gave him a smile in return. They thought their sneaky way of interaction went unnoticed but they were wrong Ashley had already seen them signaling each other.

"Ahem.." clearing her throat Ashley let them notice her presence.

"Is there anything you both are trying to speak?" she asked moving her eyes from Jack to Miley simultaneously.

Startled by her question Jack quickly averted his eyes from Miley and cleared his throat," Ahem.."

Miley on the other hand blushed as she tried to hide her face with her palm. It had been a few days since she and Jack had started dating and it wouldn’t be a surprise if her boss co to notice sothing different with their interaction.

Teasing them, Ashley opened the door of the back seat and entered, while Miley gave Jack a flying kiss before she hopped in.

Smiling like a shy teenager, Jack too entered the driver’s seat and soon they drove away from the shooting spot.

Since the set was located outside the city, they had to drive almost more than an hour to reach the ho.

Sitting in the back seat, Ashley texted Tristan about her departure to which he plied with a thumbs-up emoji. Smiling at his cute response, Ashley then decided to take a small nap until they reach ho.

She didn’t realize when her eyelids turned heavy and she dozed off to sleep. Her entire body was feeling relaxed when suddenly Jack pulled on the brakes and their car stopped in the middle of the dense road.

Started by the sudden jerk, Ashley snapped out of her slumber only to find them halt on the dark road. "Jack, what’s wrong" Straightening up in her seat she asked her bodyguard.

"I’ll just check" saying Jack then stepped out of the car. While he was busy examining the problem, Ashley and Miley too hopped out of the car.

"Did you find the problem Jack" Ashley once again inquired as she and Miley approached him.

"I think we need a chanic. We have two punctured tires but no spare one to replace" he answered pointing at the blast tires.

"What should we do now? We are middle of nowhere? How can we get a chanic here" Miley began to panic as she looked at the empty road.

"I will call soone to fetch us," Jack said and pulled out his phone only to find no signal in it.

"Damn.. we don’t have a signal here" Jack sneered in frustration. He should have checked everything before picking up the car.

Ashley and Miley too checked the phone. Jack was right, it wasn’t only his phone that had no signal but even their cell phone had no range.

"How do we ask for help" Miley mumbled. She was almost on the verge of crying.

"Here co here and stand next to " Ashley motioned to Miley and pulled her b her side. Just like her, even Ashley was afraid of darkness but she didn’t let it bother her.

’They had to get out of here as soon as possible’ she thought and turned her head to the side from where they ca.

She hoped sohow, they would get any help and to her surprise she found a car approaching their way. Before she could signal them to stop the car halted on its own and the man who stepped out from it made her eyes grow wide.

your friend" With his charming smile Riel walked towards them. He then moved his eyes from Ashley and looked at the tires.

"I think you need help," he asked playfully moving his attention back to the girls.

Riel had noticed a car halting in the middle of the road. At first, he thought to drive past them but when Max told him it was Ashley’s car, he imdiately asked him to stop.

Ashley cringed at his remark. ’Friend! who said we were friends’ she scoffed ntally as her cold eyes watched him smile. Out of all the people why it had to be Riel who had co to their rescue.

"No we don’t need any help" ca her quick reply. She didn’t want to seek any help from a man who was trying to target her family.

Miley shot her head in Ashley’s direction and then looked at Jack who was glaring at Riel.

"Ma’am I think we should take his help. I don’t think we would find any other vehicle here. We can’t even connect our calls" Miley shoved her fears aside and stated practically.

She was aware of their difference but it wasn’t the ti to bring your ego in between.

In the ti they had been standing here, never once they saw a vehicle appearing on this road. It was better if they kept their rivalry aside and hopped into Riel’s car or else they would end up spending the entire night on this scary road.

Ashley’s face contorted at Miley’s words. She was right, it had been more than thirty minutes but they didn’t see any other vehicle apart from their driving this way.

"I think you should listen to your manager Ashley. It’s only

who can drive you to the city" this ti he spoke seriously. He didn’t want her to waste her ti waiting for soone else when he was already there to help them.

"Okay fine...I’ll accept your help" after much thought Ashley finally agreed with Riel.

"Thank god" Miley sighed with a satisfied smile and then looked at Jack only to get a glare in return. She knew he wasn’t happy with her suggestion but she didn’t stress much knowing she would coax him later.
