Chapter 92: BURIED
Two Days Later
We stood by the pier as Elian scattered the ashes of Ducian Due after a small ceremony. Most of the pack mbers were present as Lobo Aria stood in the distance with Hunter, Ralph, and Keith. Must to our surprise, Frodolf was missing from the ceremony.
Once Eliana was done, she turned around and searched the total area and her eyes landed on Lobo Aria. She walked over to stand a few feet from him and said, "Do you have anything to say to ?"
It was Hunter who responded and said "My sincere condolences"
"I am not speaking to you, Hunter. I would like Alpha Lobo to tell
in detail what happened to my daughter, Duciana," Eliana pressed on.
"How would I know? I am not her mate. And she was found guilty of kidnapping Lucian Freki. My brother is still in his prison cell and did not flee like your guilty daughter. May her soul rest in peace, "Alpha Lobo answered smugly.
"You think just because you are Alpha, you can get away with murder, "Eliana muttered through gritted teeth.
We all watched as Lobo’s eyes flashed in anger. And then he responded, " I will only say that you are laced with grief. That is why you are uttering such nonsensical words "

"It seems Eliana is at her breaking point, "I pointed out.

Conri and I turned around as we watched the crowd gather to stare at us as they waited for our response.

"Calm down Lil pup" Conri rubbed my back, and I pretended to be annoyed.
"Know your place, Lucian Freki, "Alpha Lobo seethed, and I watched the reaction of the pack mbers as they whispered amongst each other.
"You need to know your place, Alpha Lobo. Conri is my husband and I hate it when soone keeps admiring him. I am possessive and jealous. " I turned and pulled Conri towards the waiting cars and security team.

I knew they were just baiting
and ignored them as we boarded the cars and left.
I huffed in the car as Conri held my arm while I seethed with anger.
"He was baiting , right?" I growled.
Conri pulled
closed and pressed our mouths together. ’ Calm down lil pup"
I opened my mouth to speak, and he pressed his lips into mine for an open kiss and I found myself lost in his passion. When we ca up for air he whispered, "They are not worth your ti CEO Lucian"

Conri smiled warmly, and his eyes twinkled. "Are you going to the office?"

"You know I am restricted into the Freki lands. "He reasoned with .
"Fine," I conceded, dropped him off at the construction site, and left for the office.
Upon arrival I found Zeeb pacing by my office and once he saw
he straightened his back and said "You are finally here"
"I have a feeling you have bad news, "I snickered as we walked into my office.
"I have good news. The contact Elder Zaya gave us found the n whom Alpha Lobo’s n have been liaising with the Yakuza. I have a feeling Lobo Aria will soon find you since we already blocked the gold trade and access to the mountains that hold the crystal. "
"That is good news," I clapped.
"Even better, the Yakuza will no longer deal with Lobo Aria, "Zeeb bead.
"I expect a backlash from Lobo. We better be prepared, "I advised.
"Did Everest find anything in Chugach prison?" I asked.
"Nothing. The security was so tight they could not get anything, "Zeeb reported.

"Yes. I bet he will cause trouble soon," I snapped as Zeeb nodded and left
alone with my thoughts.

I leaned back in the chair and closed my eyes. " I am frustrated"

My eyes snapped open, and I took the mobile phone and called him. He answered on the first ring and said "Lil pup"

His words left
speechless as I felt emotional and loved.
"Oh husband, you always manage to take my breath away, "I rasped. "All this wealth that we have doesn’t matter to . I agree about the donation of the lands, but all I want is you"

after work. Let us spend ti in our shed in the woods. "

Burying myself in work thereafter, Anisha alerted
as she left the office that it was already dark.
"Are you working late? "She asked with one raised eyebrow as she leaned by the office door
"Shit," I cursed as I rushed to shut down the laptop, picked up my phone, and walked towards the office door.
"You are hopeless, "She laughed as I closed the office and walked ahead of her. A thought crossed my mind, and I turned around and asked her, "Did you find out who told Aunty Sasha about my attack ?"
"She refused to tell
and sounded cold and distant. I did not like her tone of voice when I spoke to her again. I think that if you have a contact in Texas, you should send soone to find out what is going on, "Anisha confessed.
"She has always been like this. Just ignore her and let it be, "I stated as we walked towards the elevator.
"I presu you are headed to the construction site," Anisha teased as we walked in when the doors opened.
"Yes. I have a date with my husband, "I confessed as the doors closed and she burst out laughing while I grinned from ear to ear.
