CONRI’S POV
The minute we set foot at Godmother’s ho, she stood by the living room and demanded " Tell

" Because she does not want to. She has suffered for so long that she doesn’t want anyone to worry. But I had called Bering about it and he promised to co over next week."
" I am glad that we are here now. Lucian has a plan" I nodded at her moved to place a hand on her arm and pulled her over to sit down.
" Your blood right? " Godmother’s eyes flashed at Lucian.
" Yes," Lucian nodded and sat down on the opposite couch.
" Did you agree to this?" Godmother demanded.
" No. But I had no option since I promised to please my mate. Conri chuckled and Godmother blushed.
" Where is she "Lucian’s brows furrowed.
" Resting " Lenora appeared in the doorway and then Luke followed suit as he yelled " Papa Lucian and Papa Conri, I am so glad to see you" And he flew into Lucian’s arms, embraced him, and then rushed to .
" You have grown taller " I nodded as I pulled him for a bear hug.
" Good Papa Conri. I want to be as tall as you" Luke bead. "I am off to skate" And with that, he was out of the room with Elanor shaking her head.
" He is always hard to keep up. Now that Aspen is working, he is a handful" And she is gone.
" Soon he will start school " Godmother chuckled.
" He will catch up so fast, " I nodded.
" Back to the matter at hand, take
to Mrs. Hemming. " Lucian stated.
" Wouldn’t it be better if you called Hunter and Addison over" Godmother suggested.
" That would be wise. " I nodded.
Lucian took out his phone and we watched him dial " Hunter, where are you ?"
He listened in and said " I am here visiting your Mrs. Hemming. Can you and Addison co over? " Lucian listened and then added " I will be waiting for you " He then disconnected the call.
" From your conversation, I assu they are on their way over, " Godmother asked.
" Yes. Luckily they were together at the pack offices. They are coming over." I inford Lucian.
" What about Aspen?" Lucian asked.
" You better not utter a word. Let him remain in the office working" Godmother chuckled.
Hunter and Addison arrived twenty minutes later just as Conri finished making dinner.
" What did we miss?" Hunter demanded while Addison looked worried.
" Have a seat " Godmother commanded both of them. They obeyed without question and then Tala walked into the house.
" I expected you to be around him " I smiled at her as she rushed to hug Godmother and then sat on her left side.
" I called you over because I noted that Mrs. Hemming had trouble breathing and on listening to her lungs were filled with fluids. Her wolf is weak and her health is deteriorating.
" What can be done?" Addison’s eyes filled with tears.
" I plan to cure her, " Lucian said.
" With your blood? Isn’t it too risky ?" Hunter demanded.
" It is, " Godmother stated.
" Then it’s a no ’’ Hunter vehently denied.
" Her life is a risk. We don’t have much ti, " Lucian stood up. " Lead the way. The more ti we spend talking, the more she loses ti"
" Co on" I stood up and pulled Grandma up. " We don’t have much ti. I can feel her powers slipping"
We all walked to Mrs. Hemmings’s room and found her on the bed looking pale. Her eyes widened and then she smiled softly. " I knew the last ti you were here for dinner, you listened to my body. I could feel your powers both of you "
" I wonder if I am your grandson," Hunter complained.
" What are you pouting about ?"
" How can you get sick and not tell ? " Hunter scolded her.
" Should I smack his head?" Addison raised her hand and attempted to smack Hunter.
" No fighting in front of Mrs. Hemming. You all need to leave. Conri and I will remain behind, " Lucian demanded.
" Do as he says, " Mrs. Hemming commanded.
Hunter huffed but complied and they all left the room.
" What is it? " I asked Lucian when I watched his burrows furrowed.
" I am not confident about this, " Lucian explained.
" Once you give her your blood, I will use my powers to balance both your wolves " I stated.
" Is it painful?" Mrs. Hemming asked.
" Yes but Conri will stabilize your wolf," Lucian explained.
" How will he do that ?"Mrs. Hemming demanded.
" He is our Alpha. We put all his trust in him" Lucian walked over/
She huffed " Why can’t you all just let
be?"
" Because we love you, Mrs. Hemming. And your children will be sad." Lucian smiled.
He sat next to her, slit his wrist, and then did the sa with her and then put them together and pushed his powers into her. I walked over and then pushed his powers on both of us and I felt Dolf roar and Mrs. Hemmings’s wolf stirred she stood up, slowly and I could see her gain strength.
I heard Freki stir and then pushed the words through our mind to link to Lucian " What is it ?" I murmured while I concentrated on the process.
"I need Adora, " Lucian responded through the mind link.
" As you wish, " Conri stated.
It took us half an hour for us to feel the breathing on Mrs. Hemming normalized and all the fluids in her lungs were gone. I removed my hand and stood back in exhaustion. Conti’s Firm hand gripped my back and I leaned on him for comfort.
" How are you feeling " I asked Mrs. Hemming.
" Wow. You guys are amazing " She smiled sadly as tears ran down her cheeks.
Then she started coughing and then vomited dark blood on the floor. Hunter burst into the room rushed over to her and rubbed her back.
" What is wrong with her?" He asked with concern.
" It’s fine. It is all toxic from the bones. She will continue to vomit for the next hour. This is a good sign, " I explained.
Addison and Tala walked in while I pulled Lucian out of the room.
" Co here and let him rest " Godmother guided us to the guest room.
" Thank you Godmother" I spoke up as we walked into the room Lucian lay on the bed and I pressed a kiss on his forehead.
" Hold
for a while " He murmured groggily.
" What you did was dangerous. " I scolded him.
" I know Conri. But it needed to be done, " Lucian murmured as I patted his back and he fell asleep.
Godmother walked into the guest room carrying a glass of water and I took it from her and placed it by the bedside table.
" Is he okay ?" Godmother asked.
" He is fine," I nodded.
" Let him not do it again. He seems weak" Godmother huffed.
" He used a lot of power to heal her, ’’ I whispered.
" You are spoiling him, " Godmother scolded .
" I know you are concerned about him but Mrs. Hemming is family," I explained.
" Thank you for doing this. I will make a call to Bering. " Godmother turned to leave.
" He already knows. Dolf contacted him. We needed to balance our powers" I Inford Godmother and she turned to
in surprise.
" The three of you are connected, right? Haida had concerns about it. But I assured her that it’s about your power balance. But you know that it’s more than that." Godmother’s eyes bore at .
" Yes. We have not yet understood it but it all stems from Tizheruk" I explained.
" What about Lucian?" Godmother asked.
’" He balances our mind links," I whispered.
" I hope that I am the only one who knows about this. It’s dangerous and one can use it as a weakness"
" Only Haida knows in depth about it " I inford Godmother.
" I am off. Take a rest with him and co out when he awakens" Godmother nodded.
I got on the bed and pulled Lucian in my arms and he stirred, sinking deeper into my embrace.
" Husband, " He murmured.
" I am here lil pup. " I rubbed his back affectionately.
" Godmother is right. You do know that if anyone finds out about us, it will not be good. We better keep it a secret" Lucian’s hushed voice reached my ears.
" Mmhh" I responded " I even worry if you will be carrying pups. We should travel secretly and co back once you give birth"
" You speak as if you are sure that I will get-" He stopped short.
" No need to be ashad. I will be honored to carry my pups." I declared as we cuddled for a nap but the worry that laced my mind was so strong that Dolf complained and sleep eluded .
