He nodded and dove into business mode. "I went through the designs for the resort. I have so proposed changes and designs that I would like you to look at. Let us plan for this tomorrow at your convenience. "

I sat down and stared at his phone number in awe. Finally, Conri was going to be mine.

I remained deep in thought until I spotted Benjamin coming out from the back door of the kitchen and walking right to the table.
"Lucian, you are still here. Conri has a temper, but he has no unkind bone in his body," Benjamin admitted.
"I am not worried about Conri. "I laughed in assurance.
Benjamin sat down and inquired, "What is your worry?"
"I sense trouble coming my way. Alpha Lobo had this look that made
uneasy during the KODA council eting," I explained.
"I must confess that I have always felt that he has feelings for Conri," Benjamin muttered.
"What?" I exclaid.
"Back then, Conri was the apple of the pack’s eyes. Every wolf, male or female, wanted to be mated to him. No one knows how Fridolf Due tricked Conri into accepting the engagent between him and the late Lupe. But in a week, soone killed her and lured Conri to the death site and unfortunately, he was the one who found her. She was on the verge of death and as her mate, he tried to save her and, of course, blood ended up in his hands and clothes. That is how they frad him for her death. "
"How did the KODA council ruling happen?"
"The Due family, Alpha Lobo, and Hunter were all on the frontline to demand that Conri was the one behind the murder. They demanded punishnt, and he chose exile. I rember Alpha Lobo’s eyes filled with rage as Conri left the pack. There were rumors that he drank himself silly and almost confessed," Benjamin narrated.
"To what? "I growled, knowing well the answer Benjamin was about to give.

"Shit" I cursed. So that is what I saw today behind his eyes. Possessiveness and jealousy.
"You wondered why he would object to your marriage?" Benjamin laughed.
"He better stay the fuck away from Conri," I seethed.
"There was the matter of Conri not being able to shift after all this happened. They demanded it, but Conri remained adamant. Hence they declared him Rogue." Benjamin explained.
"Conri’s wolf is no rogue. He is big and powerful, but he is not a rogue."
"You have seen his wolf?" Benjamin exclaid in shock.
"Yes, I have."
"Bless you, Lucian. I can now sleep in peace" Benjamin’s hushed voice sounded sad.
"Are you saying that Conri, no one has ever seen his wolf ?" I gasped.
"Exactly" Benjamin smiled
I grinned and stood up. Benjamin followed suit and patted my shoulder. " I am so glad you t him. Now we just need to work on our plan. Co by anyti. We shall always be ready to serve you.

I left the pub and drove to the office as the sun set and dusk slowly set in. Deep in thought, I rode through the private elevator and got to my office. Isla was still at her desk. She stood as soon as I walked out of the elevator.
"Sir, you are back" Her eyes were in a panic and I knew sothing was wrong.
"What is it?" I demanded.
"Duciana Due is in your office. Zeeb and Anisha let her in," Isla whispered.
"Who the fuck is Duciana Due?"
