Chapter 103: Breaking Tradition

The Third Commander? Yuri raised an eyebrow, probing the man before her in black attire with her psychic power. It’’s indeed him.

Having experienced the Sea of Consciousness of the First and Second Commanders, Yuri was almost certain about the identity of the man in black—he was undoubtedly the Third Commander.

"Nice work, kid. You’re a lot stronger than I was at 20." Boan heartily patted Tuss’s shoulder.

"I’m still far from your level," Tuss replied, aware that without Enova, relying solely on his physical strength and speed, he was no match for Boan.

"So, you’re Yuri?" Boan finally turned his attention to Yuri.

"Yes, I’m Yuri." Yuri had guessed that the Third Commander might want to et her, but she didn’t expect him to co so quickly, or in person. "Shall we talk inside?" she asked.

"Ah, why not. To et you, I’ve been squatting under your beams for half an hour. My feet are numb." Boan sounded casual, carefree.

A twitch appeared at the corner of Yuri’s mouth. You didn’t look like soone whose feet were numb when you were fighting earlier.

Once they were inside and the lights turned on, Yuri got a clear look at Boan. He was handso, appearing a few years younger than the Second Commander, Perseman.

As Yuri observed Boan, he was also seizing up her. His curiosity was piqued by the first SSS-tier beta the Alliance had seen in a century.

The seemingly frail girl before him possessed imnse strength, had saved tens of thousands of lives, dared to fight level-eight insectoids, and had fired a level-ten energy cannon...

Never judge a book by its cover, Boan thought.

"Have so water," Tuss said, not liking Boan’s prolonged gaze on Yuri. He awkwardly tried to divert Boan’s attention.

Boan glanced at the stern-faced Tuss, broke into a smile and said out of the blue, "A true top-tier alpha." Possessive to an extre.

"Huh?" Yuri was lost.

Tuss’s expression beca even colder.

"Let’s cut to the chase. I want you to streamline my Sea of Consciousness. In return, I offer two of the Alliance’s most advanced healing pods. They can heal anything except lost limbs." Boan proposed.

Yuri smirked at the unnecessary remark about lost limbs.

"You seem unimpressed?" Boan was surprised. One healing pod cost billions of astracredits and wasn’t available on the market. If he had wanted, he could have forced her to help him, using his authority.

But he didn’t. He offered a hefty reward.

And he couldn’t believe that Yuri was hesitating.

"No, I’d love to," Yuri smiled. A healing pod was even more expensive than a cha. She was more than willing.

Two hours later, the process was over, and Boan fell asleep on the living room couch.

Yuri and Tuss exchanged glances. As Yuri went upstairs, Tuss woke up Boan.

While yawning, Boan asked Tuss, "Do you have any idea how hard it is for

to fall asleep?"

Tuss simply replied, "No."

Caught off guard, Boan tossed two dinsional buttons to Tuss, "I won’t waste words with you. I’m going back to sleep, and this ti I’m sleeping for three days straight."

Tuss responded, "Take care."

After Boan left, Tuss climbed the stairs and knocked on Yuri’s door, handing her one of the dinsional buttons.

"They’re so generous, handing out dinsional buttons just like that. How many do I have now?" Yuri looked at her hand, each of her four fingers adorned with a button.

"They look nice." Tuss grabbed Yuri’s hand, kissed it, and said with a pitiful, lonely tone, "You’re leaving for school tomorrow. We won’t be living under the sa roof for a month. Yuri, I want to sleep in your room tonight."

A month? That seems like a long ti. Yuri’s heart softened, and she agreed.

That night, they ca close to crossing lines several tis, doing everything except for the final step.

Lying in bed, Yuri listened to the sound of water in the bathroom, her thoughts began to drift. Do I really have to be completely marked before we have sex?

The pair finally fell asleep as dawn was breaking. Before going to sleep, Tuss muted both his and Yuri’s opticomputers, ensuring they wouldn’t be disturbed.

They slept until the afternoon, waking up in a rush to get to school.

"Do you really not need my help to make your bed?" Tuss asked again at the bottom of the dormitory building.

"No, I can handle it myself," Yuri declined.

Just as Yuri finished speaking, a voice bood down from the dorm building, "Tuss, let her up here."

Tuss, who was holding Yuri’s hands, frowned and said, "Stay away from them. They’re all brawn, no brains. They’ll rub off on you."

Yuri smirked, "Should you be badmouthing your classmates like this?"

Tuss remained silent.

Yuri hugged him, "Alright, I need to go now. We’ll eat together tomorrow."

Tuss nodded, his arms suddenly tightened around her, "Or...we could just not go to school?"

Yuri heard the seriousness in his voice and stared at him incredulously.

"I don’t want to be apart from you." Tuss buried his head in her neck, his voice filled with lancholy and reluctance, and a touch of whining.

But we’re at the sa school, we can eat together every day. Does that really count as being apart? Yuri thought to herself, not daring to say it aloud.

She had a feeling that if she did voice it, Tuss would look at her with those pitiful eyes of his, as if she’d done sothing unforgivable.

"Tuss, that’s enough, let our campus queen go," soone shouted from the building.

As soon as the words "campus queen" were spoken, almost the entire building’s inhabitants ca running out of their rooms.

"Where’s the campus queen?"

"Which one is Yuri?"

"Where’s the Yuri who broke the tradition of the Military Academy No. 1 always selecting three campus queens?"

"Holy cow, so it’s true that there’s only one campus queen this year?"

"She got over 60,000 votes while the rest didn’t even reach a hundred. You tell

if it’s true."

"She’s unified the aesthetics standards of Military Academy No. 1."

"......"

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Yuri pushed Tuss away, her face flushed, and ran upstairs.

Tuss looked up at the building and shot a warning glance at the classmate who had shouted twice.

Arya nonchalantly waved at him, saying, "Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of your wife."

Tuss: "....."

With nothing left to do but stew in his frustration, he left.

"Wow, I never thought I’d see the day when Tuss is bested," Arya gloated.

"You’d better pray that you’re not grouped with him in class next ti," Nithya gave her a look that clearly ant, ’you’re on your own.’

Arya stiffened, "I may have been too rash."

Upon entering the dormitory, Yuri was greeted warmly by her three roommates. The trio eagerly helped her tidy her bed and desk, leaving Yuri with nothing to do.

"Yuri, when Tuss chases us around, could you help us fight back?" Arya asked with hopeful eyes.

"Why would he be chasing you?" Yuri was puzzled.

"In cha practical classes, the teacher often gets him to chase us around," Arya complained.

Yuri twitched a smile, saying, "That’s a novel way to conduct a class. But, I can’t interfere in classroom affairs."

Arya replied, "You could co and audit the class. Teachers turn a blind eye when soone cos to accompany their partner."

Yuri seed tempted, "If I don’t have a class schedule, I might co and watch."

Arya, her plan successful, grinned, "You must co."
