Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Wiping the Mouth
Chapter 49: Wipe the Mouth
In the clean and tidy car, it was exceptionally quiet, making the rain outside the window sound even more bustling.
Chloe Collins sat in the passenger seat, her eyelashes slightly drooping, feeling a bit sleepy.
Getting drowsy after eating too much was one of her little flaws.
Suddenly, a pretty good-looking hand appeared from the seat next to her, its slender fingers holding a clean white napkin.
"Wipe it off." The cold male voice ca.
Chloe’s drowsiness faded a little as she raised her eyelids to look over.
Then, she took the napkin with suspicion and quietly looked at him.
The man’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, and then he pointed to the corner of his own mouth, indicating her to wipe off the faint oiliness at her mouth corner.
Chloe glanced at the napkin in her hand and looked at him again.
After that, she turned her gaze away and calmly and chanically stretched her arm straight, wiping the corner of his mouth.
With an extrely perfunctory manner.
Alexander Foster’s expression imdiately tightened as he grasped her wrist.
"What are you doing?"
Chloe spoke indifferently: "Didn’t you ask
to wipe your mouth?"
Alexander Foster’s handso face slightly darkened, and looking at her smooth, soft, slender, and fair wrists, he imdiately let go of her hand, saying: "I ant for you to wipe it yourself."
Chloe: "..."
What a bother.
She casually wiped her own mouth, and just as they stopped at a red light, she saw a trash can three ters away outside the car window. Without looking, she tossed the crumpled napkin, which accurately entered the trash bin as if shot by an arrow, almost like it was directly poured in a straight line.
Alexander Foster caught her movent from the corner of his eyes and suddenly rembered so past monts, asking: "How’s Master Matsu?"
Chloe leaned her elbow on the window, her fingers supporting her forehead, her posture casual and her eyes half-closed. Upon hearing this, she casually responded: "He’s doing all right."
ntioning him, she suddenly thought of sothing and opened her eyes.
"On the 18th of next month is Master’s birthday, and we are planning to invite all the disciples back to celebrate his birthday. Please free yourself up that day."
Listening to this commanding tone, Alexander Foster’s lips revealed a smiling curvature.
She was just an 18-19 years old young lady, but her words seed like they ca from soone older than him.
The abrupt vibration sounded suddenly.
Alexander Foster put on the headset and connected the call.
Two seconds later, his expression beca solemn, "Keep an eye on it, I’ll be there soon."
Chloe Collins glanced at him suspiciously, sensing that sothing was wrong.
But she was wearing a hearing aid, and he was using the headset, so she couldn’t hear anything.
Seeing his expression and the sudden acceleration of the car, she knew he was in a hurry to deal with sothing.
In an instant, her eyes brightened a bit.
If he wasn’t coming back tonight, it would be an excellent opportunity for her.
More than ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of the Foster Manor’s main gate.
Chloe asked casually: "Dinner ti is almost here, are you going out again?"
Alexander Foster didn’t look at her, rolled down the window, and gestured to the guard, telling him to co over.
anwhile, he said to her: "I won’t be having dinner at ho tonight, don’t wait for ."
Chloe nodded slowly, "Alright, I’ll let Aunt Evelyn know."
Suddenly, she asked again: "Are you coming back to sleep tonight?"
Alexander Foster’s gaze deepened, what kind of question was this?
At this ti, the guard had already co to the car door with an umbrella, ready to open the door for Chloe.
"Get off the car," Alexander Foster ordered.
Chloe didn’t hesitate, and she got off quickly.
In no ti, the Bentley sped away.
Back in the east wing, Evelyn Thompson ca over enthusiastically and expectantly, "My children, you’re back... hey, where’s your Brother Xian?"
"Oh, he’s got sothing to do, so he won’t be back for dinner tonight." Chloe relayed the ssage.
Evelyn Thompson pouted, "This child, he’s just too busy."
"Aunt Evelyn, I ate outside just now, so I won’t eat later. I have a lot of howork, so I’ll go and do it first."
Evelyn Thompson was worried, "You’re also so busy, it’s hard for you. Go ahead, but don’t get too tired. If you can’t finish, don’t worry about it, let your Brother Xian help you when he cos back."
Chloe Collins smiled faintly and walked towards the next room.
At this mont, both the inside and outside of the building were quiet, and Alexander Foster wouldn’t be back for a while, it was just the right ti for her to do so important things.
Unexpectedly, just as she was about to go upstairs, Cherry Foster suddenly ran over.
"Second Brother!"
