Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Raine Nolan’s Big Embarrassing Mont
Just as she finished speaking, a few others chid in agreent.
With a stunning beauty seated just outside the classroom, they couldn’t control their wandering eyes.
As soon as class ended, they stared at her.
Raine Nolan’s face turned pale, and she quickly responded, "I rember now, I did bring it out because Chloe Collins couldn’t finish it. I wanted her to use it as a reference, but I didn’t allow her to copy it directly."
She tightly pursed her lips and lowered her eyes after speaking.
Keith Grant let out a heavy sigh, and said to Chloe Collins, "Alright, everything is clear now. I wrongly accused you of stealing, I apologize for that, but the plagiarism accusation is true. The evidence is right here. Co to my office after class."
"Teacher, it wasn’t her who copied it, it was ," Diego Willis raised his hand feebly.
Both Raine Nolan and Keith Grant turned their heads abruptly, one in panic and the other in surprise.
Diego Willis compared his draft book with the blank sheet of paper on Chloe Collins’s desk, "Look, the handwriting is the sa. I saw that she didn’t write anything, so I wanted to do a good deed to help her submit sothing..."
As Keith Grant’s gaze grew sharper, Diego Willis’s head lowered further into his neck.
"A good deed? You call this a good deed? It’s simply encouraging wrongdoing! Alright, because all of you have wasted several minutes of this class, co with
to the office after class," Keith Grant said and went on with her teaching after speaking.
After clarifying the misunderstanding, everyone’s gaze at Chloe Collins returned to normal.
Chloe Collins sat back down at her seat, playing with the black-frad glasses in her hand, an indifferent expression on her face.
When class ended, the three of them were taken to the math office by Keith Grant.
Raine watched them walk away, a trace of frustration hidden in her eyes.
In the next second, her expression turned to excitent.
"Cain!"
Robert Foster appeared from around the staircase, his eyes following Chloe Collins’ figure as she left.
Raine called out, and the surrounding students cast envious glances at her.
At school, Robert Foster was popular and respected because of his distinguished family background and outstanding appearance, but few people dared to take the initiative to talk to him.
Blindly, Raine’s intimate shouting stirred everyone’s curiosity about their relationship.
She jogged over, stopping twenty centiters in front of Robert Foster, and smiled, "Why are you wearing glasses today? And black-frad ones, too. They make you look so scholarly."
Robert Foster’s expression was a bit off, and he stepped back half a ter before saying, "What happened to your cousin?"
Unaware of any strangeness, Raine replied with a sigh, "She copied my howork just now and got caught by the teacher."
Robert Foster: "Oh? Really?"
Raine nodded, looking worried, "I don’t know when she’ll ever beco serious."
Robert Foster took a deep breath, nodded slowly, and his expression looked sowhat grim.
Imdiately afterwards, he called out to a male student from his class, "Hey, I want to ask you about sothing."
The male student was overjoyed, quickly moving closer with a smile, "Young Master Cain, please speak."
"Just now, did Chloe Collins copy her howork?"
"No, it’s all cleared up now. It was a misunderstanding, Chloe Collins didn’t copy."
Robert Foster didn’t say anything more, his eyes fixed on Raine’s pale face with an indescribable expression.
She clenched her hands tightly, her guilty and embarrassed face turned cold white but her ears flushed red.
"Cain..."
"I think the person who’s difficult to describe isn’t Chloe Collins, it’s you." Robert Foster said stone-faced, then turned and walked away.
Raine recalled what she had said at the school gate last ti: My cousin is quite difficult to describe.
Now, Robert Foster had returned that statent to her.
She lowered her head, biting her lip until it bled.
Robert Foster quickly descended the stairs, feeling uncomfortable all over.
He took off his black-frad glasses and thought about what Chloe Collins had said to him last night.
She had asked him to watch a show, then gave him these glasses.
The mont he put them on today, he magically saw everything from Chloe Collins’s perspective.
So, Chloe Collins’ experiences this morning had been seen by him through these glasses, clear as day.
Arriving at the math office door, he peeked inside and saw Chloe Collins and the other two standing in front of Keith Grant, listening to her lecture.
