Chapter 297: Chapter 297: I’d rather die than go back to that ho!

Chapter 297

Chloe Collins glanced at her, feeling a bit strange.

Wanda Wesley didn’t seem like soone who didn’t like to study.

Vanessa Brooke opened her eyes wide, took off her glasses with a sowhat amused expression, and asked, "What’s the reason, no ti?"

Wanda Wesley pursed her lips, not daring to look at her directly.

Chloe Collins maintained the sa expression and said, "Personal matters."

The color in Vanessa Brooke’s eyes deepened a bit, and she held back before turning to Wanda Wesley: "What about you? What’s your reason?"

Wanda Wesley hesitated for a mont and finally said, "I’m available on Saturday morning, but I’m busy in the afternoon and all day on Sunday, so... I’m sorry, Teacher."

Vanessa Brooke didn’t say anything, her lips slightly pursed, and a mocking smile appeared in her eyes.

After a while, she turned her gaze away and said, "Whatever, the opportunity is up to you guys, now just leave."

After the door closed, Vanessa Brooke’s expression turned cold, and she muttered to herself: "What on earth."

However, she didn’t say it out loud, and continued talking with Raine Nolan about the matter at hand.

Raine Nolan wasn’t putting too much thought into it, her mind completely preoccupied with the "big event" she had to do that evening.

-

The Collinses’ residence.

Rosalind Taylor sat on the sofa, unhappy after seeing off a few guests, her eyebrows lowered, not saying a word.

When she heard that Raine Nolan had entered the top five, she thought it was settled, and although it was not entirely satisfying, no harm was done.

Who would have thought that Chloe Collins would take first place!

Tristan Collins ca downstairs, changed into formal attire, and prepared to go out.

Giving a brief glance at the woman on the couch, he said softly, "Tell the driver to pick them up and hold a family banquet tonight."

Rosalind Taylor looked up in surprise: "Pick up... Raine?"

Tristan Collins showed no emotion, his expression blank: "Pick up both of them."

Rosalind Taylor was overjoyed, "Great!"

No matter what, she was finally able to bring Raine back!

She hurriedly called Raine Nolan to announce the good news.

"Really?!"

"Yes, just now your father told

himself." Rosalind Taylor’s eyes curved with a smile.

Raine Nolan sighed in relief: "That’s good. I was going crazy staying at the Taylors’. I don’t know how you put up with it, Mom, staying in such a stifling environnt for so many years."

Rosalind Taylor sighed: "It wasn’t like this before, it only beca like this after your aunt had a falling out with the family."

"Anyway, I’m finally free to return. I’ll have soone pack my things in a bit, and I won’t be going back in person."

"Alright, I’ll have soone handle it. By the way, you... go and tell Chloe Collins in a while." Her joy in her voice faded by half at these words.

Raine Nolan’s eyes turned cold: "Invite her, too?"

"I know you don’t like her, but it’s your father’s wish, so let’s secure his trust first."

A trace of undisguised emotion flickered through Raine Nolan’s eyes, and she said, "Fine, I’ll ask her."

"Alright, you go to class first."

After hanging up the phone, Raine Nolan looked at the broken tree branches not far away and laughed coldly.

From the end of the hallway back to the classroom, which took less than a minute, she soon sent Rosalind Taylor a ssage after returning to her seat.

[I asked her, and she said she wouldn’t return, not even if she died!]

-

After school in the afternoon, Chloe Collins returned early to Southvale’s Riverside, mainly for Timmy Collins.

Tomorrow was Saturday, and she planned to take him back to the mountain herself.

For his sake, she hadn’t stayed at the Fosters’ for more than a week, and Evelyn Thompson had asked Robert Foster to bring her breakfast almost every day, making her feel a bit embarrassed.

So after sending this guy back, she planned to go back to the Fosters’ for a visit.

As soon as she stepped out of the taxi, she saw a Rolls-Royce parked in front of her house.
