Chapter 196: Chapter 196: Red Chicken

Chapter 196

A group of people stared at Chloe Collins in shock, as if they were looking at a monster.

They couldn’t figure out when she had picked up the stone with two fingers, let alone when she lobbed it.

Everyone silently took a few steps back to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

The man’s friends ca to their senses and quickly dragged him away.

"Enough, even if he’s at fault, you’ve beaten him badly enough. We’re leaving!"

With that, the three of them hurriedly left.

Chloe sneered, "Did I say I was letting you go?"

"Little girl, don’t be too ruthless, or we’ll cross paths again in the future! You’ve beaten him to a pulp, what more do you want? Don’t think that no one can beat you; we’re just letting you!"

Chloe smiled softly, taking a small step forward, "Really?"

The three n instinctively stepped back in unison. Their whole bodies scread three words: Stay away!

Chloe’s expression was indifferent, but her gaze was icy. She spoke slowly, "My sister smashed this car, and she bears the primary responsibility. However, ultimately, it was this man who misled her, leading to this result. So, you need to take half the responsibility. Once this matter is resolved, you can leave anyti."

The man, who had sowhat recovered, imdiately stood up upon hearing this, "Dream on! It wasn’t

who smashed the car! Why should I pay for it? If you have the guts, let’s talk to the police!"

Chloe’s smile widened. Beneath the gentle light, her striking beauty now had a chilling ruthlessness, "You guys haven’t studied law, have you?"

Her gaze fell on the "half-disabled" man, "His actions are tantamount to instigation, and he should be treated as an accomplice."

"There are so many witnesses here, you can try running if you want. But turning yourself in and having the police co to you are two different things in terms of sentencing."

After hearing this, the man began to waver.

In the end, his companions dragged him away quickly, deciding to go to the hospital first.

As the scene died down, most of the onlookers dispersed. Only the man who had been hit in the teeth remained, wrestling with whether he should confront Chloe for justice.

Eventually, he was dragged away by his friends as well.

The few people left were Layla Lowell’s close friends.

Their eyes shone as they looked at Chloe with admiration clearly written on their faces.

"Chloe, thank you." Valerie spoke up.

Chloe Collins glanced at the extent of the car’s damage, frowning when she noticed sothing.

She stepped forward and wiped the paint off the license plate with her foot. As the paint hadn’t fully dried yet, it revealed the entire plate number upon wiping it.

She paused for a mont before smirking, a hint of amusent in her eyes.

What a coincidence.

"Where did they take Fishie?" she asked.

Edna Higgins replied, "She’s on the second floor of the bar. The car owner was resting upstairs, and when he heard the news, he had soone take Layla there. He probably didn’t call the police."

If he had, they would’ve arrived already.

Chloe looked towards the second floor of the bar, casually putting her hands in her pockets, "Just wait, she’ll be down in a minute."

As expected, within a minute, Layla Lowell walked out of the bar’s entrance, followed by several bodyguards as if they were afraid she would run away.

Her clothes were disheveled, and it was evident she had gone through a struggle. Her short, shoulder-length hair was plastered to her neck and cheeks due to sweat, and her almond eyes were filled with defiance and a refusal to submit.

"Layla!" Her friends rushed forward.

Layla Lowell waved them off, "Hey, don’t cry. I’m not dead."

Noticing Chloe, she looked surprised, "Why are you here too?"
