Chapter 184: Chapter 184: The Nonsensical Fabrication at the Age of Six

Chapter 184

She calmly walked to the Master’s side, picked up the booklet and skimd through it, her gaze turning to Raine Nolan with calm depth.

Raine averted her eyes, a fleeting glimpse of guilt flashing past the corner of her eye.

Under the scrutiny of everyone, Chloe Collins calmly began: "This handbook contains so of my mother’s fragrance blending notes. To be precise, it’s a draft where she would jot down her innovative ideas. She would then rearrange the final formulae in detail afterwards. She no longer needed this draft but there were many pages left, so she gave them to

to practice writing on. So, the latter half of this draft is filled with nonsensical scribbles that I made when I was six years old. It encompasses my mother’s immature perfu making thods and my own nonsense. I rember the pages ran out within a few weeks and I casually threw it into a corner. I never expected to see it again after so many years."

Raine surprised: "No wonder the handwriting was different towards the end. It was your writing!"

And it was the nonsensical writings from when she was six!

Raine had devoted several nights studying it and accepted it unquestioningly!

Chloe continued with a bland expression, quickly catching onto her words and posed a question: "Where did you find this relic?"

Raine’s mind was a ss, filled with a muted disbelief and regret about being toyed with.

Especially when she looked into Chloe Collins’s eyes, she felt as if she was controlled by a mysterious force, her mouth seed to break away from the control of her brain.

Her cognition scrambled, she blurted out in utter frustration once hearing the question: "How would I know, my mother gave it to !"

The words had barely left her lips when a dramatic shift ca over her face - a stunned silence!

A severe jolt!

The room fell silent, so quiet that she could hear her own heartbeats.

What... what... what did she just say?

Her eyes widened in dread and panic, blurted quickly: "I, I didn’t an that. I ant you gave

the manuscript. I wouldn’t know where you found it! I was so nervous just now that I misspoke. The book wasn’t given to

by my mother, it was you."

No matter how firmly and affirmatively she spoke each word, the gazes cast at her did not change.

They all uniformly conveyed disbelief and disappointnt.

No one present was a fool. They knew very well on whose words carried weight.

One was calm and coherent, the other spouted lies and seed panicked. It was clear who to believe.

And even if they didn’t believe Chloe, they certainly wouldn’t believe Raine’s inconsistent words.

The dynamics of the situation had dramatically shifted within just three seconds.

From a close contest where she might have had the upper hand, only to suddenly find herself trampled under Chloe’s heel...

She was stunned, unable to comprehend how such a change had co about so suddenly!

She was clearly in a position of advantage!

Why would she say such a thing without thinking, just after glancing at Chloe?!

An inner voice within her roared ceaselessly.

Chloe’s voice continued to remain calm and nonchalant; her gaze brewing a sharp, icy glare: "I’ll admit to what I’ve done. But if you want to pin this baseless bla on , you’ve picked the wrong person—an end to this."

——

(Raine: "Wuuu... it was just an on-shelf incident, and my face was heavily slapped. Could you guys be kind and tip

so dical expenses? Or else you can give

monthly tickets. At least I didn’t get slapped for nothing~")
