Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Calling you Sister-in-law in Advance

Chapter 170

Most of the classmates had left the room, mainly to go to have lunch.

Layla Lowell had slipped away half a class earlier, saying she had to help her younger sister with sothing trivial.

In the quiet classroom, only a few people remained.

Chloe Collins was not hungry yet and not in a hurry to eat, so she decided to finish reading her comic book first.

Just then, a beautifully arranged lunchbox slowly moved in front of her.

She looked up to see Wanda Wesley’s round and adorable face.

"Um, Chloe, thanks for helping

that day. This is a small token of my appreciation. I made this lunchbox myself. If you don’t mind, please accept it."

As she spoke, she placed another one on Layla’s desk: "This is for Lydia. Can you tell her for ?"

Having said that, she turned to leave.

"Thank you."

Chloe’s gentle and pleasant voice surprised Wanda. She smiled, her lips slightly pursed, and walked out of the classroom.

Chloe eyed her skin and squinted. There was sothing special about it, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

She looked at the lunchbox, put down her book, and decided not to go to the canteen after all.

"Wait!"

Robert Foster’s voice ca from behind just as she was about to open it.

Imdiately after, he jumped over several desks with haste, took her lunchbox and replaced it with another one.

"Here, you eat this one, and I’ll eat that one."

Chloe looked at him calmly: "You’re acting strange today."

Robert’s eyes shifted: "What’s strange? I’ve always been like this. Don’t overinterpret my actions. The food is getting cold; you should eat quickly. It was made by my brother for you. I heard he made it personally in the company’s canteen and had Mr. Willis bring it here."

He held Wanda’s lunchbox while speaking, his eyes growing more subtle, revealing a mix of admiration and disbelief.

"Do you know how stubborn my brother is? He never does things he doesn’t like. When my mom was still alive, she often forced him to learn how to cook. He’d only occasionally oblige for the sake of her feelings. But now, he’s actually making a al for you in the company’s canteen... God, I’m so jealous."

Chloe’s eyebrows and eyes were indifferent: "If you want to eat it, just take it."

Robert looked scared: "Please, spare . He didn’t make it for . I’d feel guilty eating it. Let

eat this one instead."

With that, he returned to his seat and opened the lunchbox.

Chloe smirked coldly: "That one isn’t for you either."

Robert turned back and grinned at her: "Just let

have it if I call you sister-in-law in advance."

Anyway, it must have been sent by so guy, and he was supposed to intercept it.

If he cheered his brother up, there might still be a chance for him to get a car.

With that thought, he beca serious, cleared his throat, and said to Chloe: "Sister-in-law, then, let

dig in."

As soon as he finished speaking, his lips suddenly felt a sharp pain, as sothing seed to fly at him.

He instinctively covered his lips, finding a rubber band – it was... used to fasten the lunchbox.

The lunchbox was disposable and ca from the canteen of his brother’s company.

He had seen it when he picked it up.

But how could this thing fly onto his lips so suddenly and painfully?

He looked suspiciously at Chloe Collins, wondering if she had deliberately thrown it at him.

However, he could not recall seeing her pull the rubber band.

As he pondered, Chloe spoke: "Don’t talk nonsense."

Her face was not very pleased.

Robert was puzzled: "Nonsense? Sister-in-law?"

Having just uttered the words, his lips hurt again.

This ti, he was sure it was Chloe who threw it at him.

Her fingers had just moved slightly!

He was amazed: "Have you practiced this? Like my brother."
