Chapter 905: Chapter 363: Guel Pri Minister’s Drawer
The latest alliance contract of the five most recent small countries has already been placed at the corner of Edwan’s desk.
This ti they’ve learned their lesson and will announce it publicly instead of holding a signing ceremony.
“Your Majesty, it’s ti for you to rest.”
A gentle reminder ca from Miss Guina standing by.
“Okay.”
Edwan lifted his head, stretched his neck a few tis, stopped going through the docunts, and leaned back in his chair.
Guina took the initiative to step forward to massage Edwan’s sore neck.
“Is everything going smoothly on your boss’s side?” Edwan suddenly asked.
“Smoothly,” Guina said softly, her long hair cascading down her sides, “The situation around the boss is relatively good, and the fallout from the incident of insulting the Emperor on Emperor Star has subsided. Although the Emperor still does not want to see our boss, the royal family controlling various resources of the Empire is treating the boss quite fairly.”
“How did this co about?” Edwan asked curiously.
“The Lady Goddess complained that the boss sold his alluring body.”
“Wow,” Edwan smacked his lips, “That must be a joke. I know Yang Ming, unless the other party is a very beautiful girl, he wouldn’t want to offer his body.”
“You guessed right.”
“Is it still Princess Daphne?”
“Yes.”
“The Princess is actually quite nice,” Edwan whispered, “It’s said she’s never had a boyfriend, a rare virtuous princess in the Empire, and now she’s beco the Imperial Songstress.”
Guina laughed, “The boss still prefers soone like Captain Catherine, with a strong sense of justice.”
Their voices wouldn’t leak out during their physical contact and conversation due to the new technology applied on Guina, this Terminator One unit.
Edwan let out a long sigh.
He asked softly, “I’ve always had a question, Guina, can you help
answer it?”
“Your Majesty, please go ahead, I will assess comprehensively to answer what you’re puzzled about requiring the necessary permissions.”
“Why doesn’t Ming just replace ?” Edwan asked quietly.
Guina pondered deeply.
Edwan spoke softly, “I can roughly guess that Ming is doing sothing very dangerous, trying to build his own power through chanical civilization, which can spread wildly in a very short ti. I don’t even know how powerful he is now… In his system, I am really too important, Guina, Wind is the external facade of his secret base, and I know too many of his secrets… Replacing
should be his top priority.”
“I can only say, mutual trust between humans is a strange emotion.”
Guina smiled and said:
“Perhaps you didn’t know, in our system, all who exist to follow the boss’s will know you are the boss’s partner and best companion.
“Then let
ask you, why as the Emperor of the Luofeng Empire, can you tolerate the entire military strength of the Luofeng Empire being controlled by my boss?”
Edwan spoke solemnly, “Do you think Ming would betray ? He had countless opportunities to beco the Emperor of this country himself.”
“Look, haven’t you answered it yourself?”
Edwan laughed involuntarily.
“That guy, I hope one day, I can call him… boss. That title is really tacky.”
Guina smiled but said nothing.
In fact, they all called the boss ‘father.’
Guina’s massaging movents paused, she said softly, “Latest news from the battlefield, half a minute ago, the entire army of the New Federation began to advance.”
“The war has started! Is there any live broadcast from the Empire?”
“No, Your Majesty, the Empire is fighting this one as if it were a war to destroy a nation.”
“Oh, that’s really excruciating.”
Edwan set the contracts in front of him and sighed softly.
He could only wait.
…
anwhile.
Guel Alliance Headquarters, underground defense tower, in the simply styled but well-decorated temporary office of the Alliance Pri Minister.
The now graying head of the Galaxy’s fourth strongest nation, quietly sat behind the desk, looking down to see so text broadcasts.
The New Federation had launched a proactive attack.
The first major confrontation between the two major powers in this war had already unfolded.
What should she do?
What else can she do?
For the sake of national interests, she had already made a series of preparations.
The New Federation couldn’t fall, or they would face plundering by the Imperial Fleet, so supporting the New Federation militarily, even hiring rcenaries to add strength directly, was in the nation’s best interest.
But that’s as far as she could go.
Pushing all the main fleets to the New Federation, acting as their forerunner, and waging a decisive battle with the Empire… only a fool would do that.
For them, the simultaneous weakening of the New Federation and Sherman Empire was the perfect situation.
Of course, the possibility of this is very, very low.
Now we can only wait for the outco.
No matter how much the politicians outside the battlefield do, they can’t change the results of the soldiers fighting within. Now the only thing to hope is that the Empire’s defense system truly has issues…
Thump, thump, thump, thump!
The drawer at the bottom left of the desk suddenly trembled continuously.
The Pri Minister’s expression beca increasingly serious as she stared intently at the drawer’s position.
Every Pri Minister receives a series of ‘teachings’ when they take office, and this drawer, which always remains empty, is considered the most important matter, reiterated by the previous Pri Minister to the next.
She hadn’t opened this drawer in two years, but now, at this crucial mont, it moved.
The Pri Minister let out a small sigh, leaned forward, and seemingly unintentionally pulled open the drawer, revealing inside a simple sheet of backed ordinary printing paper.
She took the paper out, placing it in front of her, as the lines of Milky Way common script began appearing, line by line, disappearing just as clearly.
The Pri Minister unconsciously clenched her hands tighter, her expression sowhat heavy, but she dared not delay, imdiately picking up the special line communicator beside her.
“Commander, Plan Six, launch the main fleet, we must join the war.”
“But Pri Minister, are we heading out now? Even if fighting, shouldn’t we wait until the war is nearing its end to act…”
“Jump now, it will take half an hour to reach the battlefield, that timing should be just right. Execute imdiately as I said, the Military Federation there should also have received the sa directive, execute imdiately!”
“Yes, I just received the order… Understood! All communications personnel, jump the main fleets to the first target area! Prepare for battle engagent!”
