Chapter 633: 271 Hera’s Resolve [Third Update! Additional Update]_2

“””

Ordinary couples always spar using superhuman powers; who could endure that!

Two young lovers who had just crossed the Taboo Bridge were soon snuggled up in a corner, discussing tactics on how to crush the Federals.

Ding ding!

Lyu sent over a briefing, and Yang Ming took out his shell communicator, glanced at it once he opened it.

[Hera has lost contact.]

Yang Ming furrowed his brow.

Catherine didn’t look at the ssage, she simply asked, “What’s wrong?”

“So issues,” Yang Ming said, “I need to be alone for a while.”

“Okay,” Catherine replied, without pressing further, stuffing her hands into her coat pockets as she hurried away.

Such a reaction made Yang Ming feel at ease; being sweet when close, handling matters first when necessary, and able to heft a Ship-Slicing Blade when facing an enemy.

He pulled out a concealed earpiece and began high-latency communication with Lyu.

“What’s going on?”

“Both ships are fine, the chanical Thought Bodies are still active, but they’ve all lost contact, unable to transmit information externally.”

Lyu whispered,

“Initially, I suspected a malfunction in the quantum communication device, but after checking the quantum volu, everything seed normal.

The identification device I placed on Hera and the chip in her brain showed no anomalies. It feels like they’re trapped in a strange ti-space bubble, cut off directly from the outside world.”

A ti-space bubble?

Yang Ming furrowed his brow deeply: “What about that queen?”

“Possible,” Lyu sighed, “I analyzed the data they sent and found they hadn’t encountered the Insect Swarm yet but had discovered the civilization woven by the insects and many stars encased by the swarm. I’ve also transmitted the relevant data to the Sherman Empire, asking the Empire’s observatories to target those locations, serving as a bit of early warning.”

Yang Ming folded his arms, pacing back and forth behind the door.

Yang Ming said, “Knowing Hera, she probably contacted the queen with a purpose. Her communication with the queen must be closer than we think. Lyu, how exactly is the chip configured?”

Lyu calculated for a mont, sighed, and said, “I set it so she couldn’t directly contact the queen. The chip is linked to her visual nerves; seeing the queen would trigger a self-destruct device… I erred, she actually doesn’t need to see the queen, their communication transcends ti and space.”

“The peak of a Sixth Rank queen is nearing a dinsion-ascending level, with abilities far beyond the norm.”

Yang Ming strolled over to the narrow porthole, gazing at the imperial-style warships outside the window.

“In any case, I hope she doesn’t betray humankind… report any situation imdiately, and if contact is possible, ask what’s happened.”

“I understand.”

Lyu paused and then said,

“Additionally, due to the intense panic caused by the imperial fleet in Minter City, now is an opportune ti to seize those fleeing assets. Compared to this financial tsunami, the funds we’ve prepared are insignificant.

Is it possible to use so less honorable thods, like stealing small treasure chests of so criminal organizations, to gather more funds?”

“You make the call,” Yang Ming said, “don’t let good people beco your shackles; it’s enough not to be a bad person.”

“Yes!”

Lyu visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

In reality, this was a case of ‘acting first, reporting afterward.’

Queen, I have co.

Within a white curtain of light, Hera kept her eyes tightly closed.

She felt as though she were standing on soft soil, a gentle breeze carrying the fresh scent of grass and trees.

These were all illusions.

Hera knew that she was still inside her ship, having fallen into a tranquil space minutes ago, with the ship struggling as if navigating through a viscous liquid.

She dared not open her eyes, rely waiting with them shut.

Hera guessed they had entered the zone where the queen resided, but since the queen hid beyond space, she couldn’t directly contact her.

Woo, woo—

It was like the brief sound of bagpipes, the tangible sound waves crashing in Hera’s ears.

Her petite body trembled slightly, and tears trickled slowly from the corners of her eyes.

Along with these sounds, Hera received the information the queen offered, seeing her father being carried away, an observation from the remnants of insect eggs in a large petri dish.

Insect eggs could also observe their surroundings, and high-rank queens obtain relevant information through them.

This was crucial scientific information, which must be recorded later.

[Hera, my new kindred, will you return to our family?]

The queen transmitted the ssage, caught by Hera and strangely becoming content she could understand.

“I’m still human,” Hera murmured, “at least that’s how I see myself.”

[Will you try to persuade

to coexist peacefully with humans?]

“No, I have seen the civilization built by your Insect Race along the way. Insect Race and humans are similar species, both yearning for the heat of constant stars, needing various minerals to dismantle planets one by one.”

Hera’s voice was incredibly calm:

“Insect Race and humans are competitors.

“Because the Milky Way is vast enough, at the mont, space can separate us.

“I once clung to that fantasy, wanting the two races to reconcile, but now I believe in his words; we are enemies.”

[No, Hera, we are not enemies.]

Woo—woo—

[The true enemy is Faya.]

“Faya?”

[The super civilization that controls hundreds of large galaxy clusters, they claim to originate from early human species, but after ascending dinsions, they have beco a new species, a pure Thought Body.]

[We are creatures that live between universes, existing from the early universe. We have never declared the large galaxy clusters as our territory, only extracting the necessary resources for reproduction. We have never destroyed Star Cores; upon completing dinsion ascent, they will fill the voids in these planets, allowing corpses to beco rock.]
