Chapter 624: Wrath of the Empire 269

Admiral Thomas called out loudly, then glanced at the girl standing quietly in front of him, realizing his voice couldn’t reach her.

“Admiral Thomas.”

The girl slightly turned her head, her sidelong glance fixed on Thomas as she spoke in an icy, monotonous voice,

“The tactic of using the first combat group to encircle the enemy is exceedingly foolish. A casualty ratio near one-to-one indicates a military command error, which the military should review.”

“Yes,” Admiral Thomas saluted.

The girl looked towards the starry sky. The New Federation’s ships seed to have already prepared their escape route. Though the space was sowhat unstable, the light beams drawn by the distant stars nearly synchronized their transition.

The first combat group let eighty percent of the opposing ships escape, concentrating their fire on the remaining ships that transitioned slightly later.

Over a hundred ships of the New Federation exploded simultaneously.

At this mont, Admiral Thomas glanced at the radar data, frowning tightly, “The third combat group at the forefront still has six minutes to reach us… not one minute…”

“There is a batch of enemy spies inside the battleship. I rely utilized these spies to transmit false intelligence.”

The girl spoke calmly,

“The list of spies within the military has been sent to you, a total of sixteen thousand two hundred individuals. Please execute them on the spot.”

“Yes!”

“I am not authorized to decide for human generals; I rely offer my suggestion. Farewell, General Thomas.”

The girl nodded slightly, her figure flickering gently before vanishing entirely.

Admiral Thomas stared blankly at the scene before him, then looked ahead at the few remaining New Federation ships.

An allied warship requested a fire order, while from a new communication channel ca the familiar shout of the White Ghost,

“Don’t fire! It’s ! I’ve hacked these ships’ operating systems! The battleship I’m on is the New Federation’s latest battleship. I’ve captured their commander and technicians, and we can dismantle the New Federation’s latest technology!”

Admiral Thomas exhaled softly and imdiately issued a ceasefire order.

Then the general exited the command system and looked out through the porthole.

The wreckage of warships and the bodies of soldiers floated in the cold, empty cosmic space, devoid of any sound.

When the “Imperial Defense System” withdrew from the command system, Lyu imdiately regained control of the East Wind and restored communications with Yang Ming.

At that ti, Yang Ming stood on the bridge of the captured ship, studying so new inventions independently developed by the New Federation, like that oval control device, which seed much more advanced than square or round wheels.

The bridge was strewn with officers and soldiers, most either unconscious or with their brains blown out. Only a few transford people had been shot in the head.

Dozens of chanical Guards had also reverted to their pre-manufacturing component state.

“Boss!”

Lyu’s cry mingled with a sob, startling Yang Ming.

“What happened?”

“That predecessor’s computational power is so strong! I don’t even belong to the sa era as her! I don’t want to live anymore!”

Yang Ming: …

Although both chanical thought bodies enjoyed the resources of an empire, there was still a great disparity between empires.

Moreover, the Sherman Empire had developed for thousands of years; thousands of years ago, their level was almost like this, with progress stalling and returning over several millennia. That chanical thought body’s invincible computational power wasn’t really surprising.

Boss Yang perfunctorily said, “Alright, I’ll add a few mainfras for you.”

Lyu gritted her teeth, deciding to work hard, “I want to update the server architecture! I want to sneak into the Emperor Star Circle to steal data on those advanced servers!”

“Go steal, steal a lot, we built our fortune on stealing technology.”

Yang Ming chuckled awkwardly.

Without needing his reminder, Lyu had already begun searching for interesting technical data within the warship.

Outside the porthole, one Imperial Warship after another moved forward slowly, starting to clear the entire battlefield. Several dium-sized landing ships also headed towards the captured New Federation warships.

In fact, it was the Empire’s chanical thought body that settled the other three surrounding ships.

But the credit, it turned out, was attributed directly to Yang Ming.

And for so reason, although originally worried that this exposure would reveal Lyu’s presence, during subsequent engagents with the Empire, no one ntioned either the chanical thought body or his assistant.

Could it be that the other party was not entirely in a program state?

Yang Ming was sowhat puzzled about this too.

But the first contact with this fellow actually felt quite alright.

Simultaneously, that issue once again troubled Yang Ming considerably.

Levi’s predecessor’s parasitic thought body was still active. This founding emperor of the Sherman Empire, who personally destroyed the forr evaluator on the planet originally hiding the Intelligent chanic Dusk entrance, was he truly dead?

The Empire possessing Levi seed to have found its soul.

That was the true Galaxy Overlord.

The landing ships formally docked with the New Federation warships, adhering, as unit after unit of Imperial soldiers stord the ship.

In the remaining three warships, soldiers faced varying degrees of resistance; many active Federal soldiers were there, and the close-quarters combat nearly spiraled out of control.

The warship Yang Ming was on was now quietly calm.

Two squads of Imperial soldiers advancing towards the bridge stared at the corpses and signs of battle along the way, the light in their eyes growing increasingly fervent.

That man had acted!

He had almost single-handedly saved the fleet!

— Of course, this was just an exaggeration.

Lyu, holding the boss’s communication rights, reminded beside him, “Boss, Admiral Thomas has sent an invitation, wanting to et you on his flagship, which is that Dreadnought.”
