Chapter 560: 245 for freedom_2

“Now, I suggest we pause the eting for a few hours. You can arrest them for interrogation, and after it’s over, we can decide what attitude to take in communicating with .”

Yang Ming stood up and turned to exit the virtual eting room.

“Hanton!” Lieutenant Colonel Atro called out, “I believe in you.”

“It doesn’t matter, Lieutenant Colonel; they are already questioning ,” Yang Ming said calmly. “When it cos to dealing with the Insect Race and the New Federation CIA, I am barely considered experienced. Please understand, I don’t necessarily have to cooperate with you.”

Whoosh!

Yang Ming made a door-opening gesture, and the virtual projection flickered out of sight.

The conference room was silent for more than ten seconds before an old general’s voice shouted from the corner,

“What are you waiting for? Go arrest them! Interrogate them!”

“Yes!”

Atro sat there, shaking his head repeatedly.

These people had never t Hanton offline, nor communicated with Hanton’s father. He had a deeply ingrained affection for the Empire, sothing that Hanton’s father could entirely attest to.

Suddenly, a major general said, “Let’s move to the next eting room. There’s a situation at the border. Half an hour ago, they detected signs of a large number of spaceships jumping, but couldn’t find out where they went. It’s suspected that the New Federation is up to sothing.”

“Atro, you’re in charge of the arrest operation!”

“Yes!”

Atro stood and saluted, but inwardly cursed calmly.

He would later faithfully report this unpleasant incident to his uncle.

“Boss, we captured a few special New Federation ships!”

Yang Ming had just turned off the eting projector when Lyu’s voice ca through his network terminal.

Several projection screens popped up, bearing several sleek, three-hundred-ter-class special ships.

These smooth surfaces and fluid lines were indeed the signature craftsmanship of the New Federation.

“Where did they go?” Yang Ming asked.

“They went to an uninhabited planet,” Lyu quickly replied. “Based on the previously detected jump reactions and the detection of spatial ripple amplitudes, it’s estimated that at least thirty similar warships completed their jump and then quickly disappeared at the Empire’s border gap.”

Yang Ming raised an eyebrow.

Without further explanation from Lyu, he had already thought of a possibility.

Could it be that those anti-human politicians from the New Federation were planning to directly trigger the remaining Insect Swarms within the Empire?

Yang Ming asked, “What is the Empire’s response?”

“A bit slower than us, but they’ve already detected the relevant ships,” Lyu said softly. “These ships’ optical stealth is quite primitive, only turning themselves transparent but unable to perfectly handle the speed difference of electromagnetic wave propagation across different dia. The Empire has already dispatched a fleet to intercept and chase them.”

“Can they intercept them?”

“Most of them are in pursuit, and the odds are they won’t catch up directly,” Lyu said, with palpable frustration. “Their destination avoids the Empire’s local defense system. This is the CIA’s handiwork.”

Yang Ming rubbed his forehead.

He hadn’t wrongly criticized the Imperial Military Intelligence Bureau earlier.

“Lyu, relay this to Admiral Thomas and have him activate the Empire’s military system urgently.

“ssage Captain Griss, telling him to brace for the storm.

“Damn! If dozens of Insect Swarms activate simultaneously, the Empire’s forces couldn’t fully mobilize in ti. Is the New Federation deliberately letting the Insect Swarms slaughter civilians?

“Go ask Hera if she has any ans to stop it.”

“Yes.”

Lyu’s voice vanished.

Yang Ming paced beside the bed, trying to recall the Empire storyline from “Abyss.”

The ga plot was never this outrageous. At most, only four or five Insect Swarms were discovered simultaneously, leading to a raucous excitent among faction players.

Of course, triggering all the yet-to-mature Insect Swarms at once now was a “short pain” for the Empire. It’s far better than allowing ongoing turmoil to rapidly weaken the Empire’s national strength.

This also ant that Yang Ming would no longer have places to “level up” in the future.

If the New Federation triggered all the remaining implanted Swarm sites, he would have to make do with this wave of “experience.” To further enhance his strength, he’d have to seek out powerful, monstrous bugs on the outskirts of the Milky Way or breed so small insects for fun.

It’s a total disaster!

Who in the New Federation ca up with this idea?

Then again, considering the New Federation had invested considerable resources into the implantation plan, they couldn’t just watch while the Empire slowly squeezed out the infection.

“Lyu?”

“Boss, I’m here.”

“Release a ssage online through the White Ghost Organization, and gather as much evidence as possible to prove the New Federation’s wrongdoing.”

Yang Ming said in a low voice,

“They’ll surely deny it vehently. We must find incontrovertible evidence that they can’t deny, increasing the likelihood of a full-scale war between the Empire and the New Federation.”

Lyu replied, “Alright, Boss. As your parasitic chanical Thought Body, I must remind you again that a full-scale war would result in significant human casualties.”

Yang Ming nodded calmly, “I’m rely the instigator, not the igniter. I’m just providing the Empire with solid evidence; I won’t interfere with what decisions the Empire’s high command makes. Even if I must bear so guilt or face divine condemnation, so be it.”

“Why do you feel it’s no big deal?” Lyu was curious.

“I’m an atheist.”

“Understood.”

Yang Ming turned his gaze out the window, apparently thinking of sothing, and smirked slightly.

Laughter ca from the living room; Catherine and Hanton’s mother had returned from shopping. Yang Ming adjusted his expression, opened the bedroom door with a broad smile, and greeted them.
