Chapter 521: Escape to Heaven_3

Bryant’s gaze was sowhat aggressive:

“You had suspected Hui Saka long before, you could have reported your suspicions, but you chose a risky plan.

“You understand the pressure the White Ghost is under, stemming from Valkyrie and other factors. He must now cooperate with the Empire to counter the pressures from Valkyrie.

“Now, the White Ghost is in an awkward situation; he dares not show himself for fear of being dissected and cloned by the Empire, tortured, or turned into a specin floating in those canned jars.

“You understand him, you gave him this chance, Captain Griss.”

“I don’t understand what you’re saying,” Griss raised an eyebrow, “I keep my personal and professional lives separate. I really want to catch him, this is a mission from above.”

“Yes.”

Bryant smiled and said, “Going directly to catch him, or creating chaos during the capture to allow the White Ghost to engage formally with the Empire’s officials, all falls under the mission.”

“Until that chaotic night at the studio, I really couldn’t confirm that Hui Saka was the White Ghost.”

“But you can be certain of two things,” Bryant said, “The White Ghost wants to talk with the Empire, and there was sothing wrong with Hui Saka.”

“Whatever you say,” Griss shrugged, “I am guilt-free.”

“Relax, I’m just curious, and I won’t snitch on you,” Bryant smiled, “Want to know why no one could recognize that Hui Saka was a high-fidelity robot at the ti?”

Griss said, “Our focus was all on the White Ghost then, the White Ghost taking steps in mid-air; such ability drew everyone’s eyes, and the subsequent chaos was intentionally made to exchange identities to baffle us… also…”

Griss paused his speech.

He looked up at Bryant.

Bryant had just said ‘want to know,’ which ant, this guy knew the answer!

“Want,” Griss nodded imdiately.

Bryant spoke slowly, “I conjecture that he perhaps used strong spiritual power to psychologically suggest everyone in the studio to overlook the minor anomalies in Hui Saka on normal days, as part of his plan.”

Griss’s eyes widened.

Strong spiritual power wasn’t just sothing the White Ghost had; this guy in front of him had also been lurking in the building!

Bryant smiled:

“I also speculate that two days ago, the White Ghost didn’t leave Yaha Star. Particle transport requires a certain distance, and I’ve studied the video of the White Ghost’s last confrontation with Valkyrie, assuming the maximum distance for particle transmission happened during that conflict between two powerful humanoid Ancient Gods, then the spaceship two days ago was too far.

“That bright flash seed more like a distraction, diverting our attention.

“Over a thousand White Ghosts were abducted that night, and several abandoned vector thrusters were found at the scene. So I think there might have been more than one White Ghost that night, and he likely had accomplices.”

Griss suddenly stood up.

“What, what are you saying?”

“I’m returning to the frontline battlefield,” Bryant rose leisurely, “These are just my conjectures. I think this explanation is the most reasonable. Oh yes, I just called the local security office, and those more than a thousand captured individuals were released today in the dayti.”

Griss’s forehead scrunched up.

Having said that, Bryant put his hands behind his back and swaggered off.

Griss suddenly laughed.

He spread his arms, sat on the couch shaking his leg, and took a sip of his drink as he began searching the dance floor for his entertainnt for the night.

Tonight he intended to have a blast!

A few hours ago, not far from this bar at the local security office.

The over one thousand three hundred ‘White Ghosts’ captured two days ago were released in batches today.

A short-haired girl dressed in a grey and white cosplay costu bounced out of the security office doors, casually throwing her helt into a trash bin, stripping off her bulky cosplay costu to reveal a spicy outfit of shorts and a tank top underneath.

Several officers directed their gaze at the girl, appreciating her outstanding figure.

A hover car pulled out from the parking lot; the back door opened automatically, the girl ducked in, and closed the door behind her with a giggly smile.
