Chapter 472: 214 The Girl Who Arrived with Missiles_2

He had to find a way to gain so initiative; relying solely on the identity of “Hui Saka” to spar with the supermodified people left him completely in a passive position.

What to do?

Yang Ming rested his forehead against the backrest of the seat in front of him, quickly falling into deep thought.

Next to him, Godoy secretly took out an internet-access terminal that hadn’t been confiscated and began searching for the local nobles’ ergency hotline.

A red warning symbol suddenly appeared on the spacecraft’s control interface.

Yayu and her subordinates imdiately got busy, the speed of the spacecraft began to soar, and brilliant firelight appeared outside the porthole—fortunately, the energy shield kept it at bay.

Godoy wondered aloud, “What’s going on?”

Yang Ming muttered, “Must have been locked on by a battleship,” he added, “The freak that woman talked about has caught up. Don’t be afraid; they should all be special warriors serving the Empire and should have limits to their recklessness.”

“A battleship?”

The door of the Poisoned Stinger Ship swung open, and several small attack crafts shot out from between the long spikes, charging directly at the police shuttle below.

Bryant sat in the front of the lead attack craft, hands gripping the square helm, relentlessly pushing the small engines and looking as if he might spit fire from his eyes.

“Keep transmitting ssages to them!”

“Sir, they continue to reject our communications!”

Bryant said coldly, “Then send it until they accept! Fire! Disable their protective energy shields!”

“But sir, that’s a legitimate police patrol vehicle…”

“Fire, don’t make

repeat myself a third ti.”

“Yes, sir.”

Several small attack crafts simultaneously fired large, dark-purple light bullets.

The police shuttle, already at full speed, took multiple hits, and its thin energy shield quickly diminished.

“Transmit a communication.”

“Yes, sir.”

A small projection screen suddenly appeared next to Bryant’s cheek, displaying a golden mask, and a crisp female voice pierced Bryant’s ear.

“What do you think you’re doing? Abandoning your post, unauthorized entry into the atmosphere, now enacting an aerial pursuit?”

Bryant’s cold eyes instantly softened.

He said, “Yayu captured a friend of mine; I’ll handle it shortly.”

The crisp female voice warned, “Don’t make this a bigger deal. There are many foreign guests here now; think carefully about the consequences.”

“Understood,” Bryant replied, “I will, don’t worry, Captain.”

“I’m going to contact Yayu now. Give it a few more minutes, control your emotions, and for heaven’s sake, don’t lose control, or you’ll implicate the entire supermodified group.”

The female voice admonished.

Bryant took a deep breath, nodded calmly, and with a swoosh, the projection screen disappeared.

“Woo-hoo!”

Yayu’s excited shout echoed continuously within the police shuttle, while her subordinates paled and each donned a flight pack.

The recent wave of assault had pushed the shuttle to the brink of being shot down.

At this mont, Yang Ming remained relatively composed, deliberately making himself appear paler. Since both he and Godoy were handcuffed, they worked together to pull an ergency flight pack from under the seat, securing its straps with four hands.

For a brief mont earlier, Yang Ming had been ready to seize the ship.

Communication with Lyu had a certain delay, so Yang Ming could only rely on himself to judge the situation now.

“Will they continue firing?” Godoy asked with a shaky voice.

The Viscount had lost his previous composure.

Yang Ming smiled wryly, “I shouldn’t have suggested you go on a trip.”

“Don’t say that,” Godoy panted slightly, trying his best to encourage Yang Ming, “We’ll be fine, definitely fine, kid.”

“Do you see?”

Yayu turned her head to look at Yang Ming and smiled,

“Your friends don’t care at all about your life and death; they’ll fire directly. Bryant only cares about his own feelings.

“He’s an extrely selfish new species; you’d best abandon those ridiculous ideas sooner.

“Buckle up, gentlen; we’re about to go into a vertical dive, hahaha!”

Yang Ming’s nostrils flared slightly.

Did this crazy woman seriously think he was a lamb to be slaughtered?

“Yayu!”

A gentle voice suddenly rang out.

A half-ter-wide projection screen popped up in front of Yayu, centered on a golden mask, emitting a stern female voice.

“What are you up to?”

Yayu’s smile froze instantly, she tensed up and stood straight, hurriedly saying, “Sir, are you on Yaha Star too? Long ti no see, please don’t be angry.”

“I’m asking why you’re trying to provoke Bryant!”

“This isn’t about

provoking Bryant,” Yayu imdiately retorted, “I’m rescuing two Imperial nobles; they possess noble characters, and one is the recently fad detective. Bryant wants to make them into art pieces.”

“Bryant has already promised he won’t continue doing such things,” the female voice said calmly, “Now, have your ship establish communication with them and proceed to the area I designate for you. I will personally diate your conflict.”

Yayu objected, “But, my lord, can you really believe Bryant will restrain himself? That’s his desire…”

“Shut up, follow the order! Otherwise, I’ll take your nonsense as a challenge to !”

“Yes, I’ll do it now.”

The golden mask glanced at Yang Ming and Godoy before vanishing with a swoosh.

Yayu viciously kicked a nearby seat twice, and her subordinates felt like they were granted amnesty.

“It’s alright, father,” Yang Ming said in a low voice.

For so reason, not having the opportunity to take direct action left him with a slight feeling of regret.
