Chapter 443: 203 Decent

With so many nobles present, how could they be silenced by just one sentence from Yang Ming?

Imdiately, soone in the crowd shouted, “Whose child is this? So ill-mannered! Speaking to elders while sitting with legs crossed.”

Yang Ming leaned back, sitting even more comfortably.

A few more doubts were murmured around.

But soon, an elder from the Saka family asked in a deep voice, “Little Hui, do you know who the murderer is?”

“Yes,” Yang Ming replied calmly, “but I cannot tell you right now. A local officer must be present.”

“Why must an officer be present? Just tell us, we’ll handle the rest.”

“No one dares to retaliate against you.”

“We all understand your identity,” an elder said, “although Godoy’s nephew lacks ambition, our respect for the main family’s bloodline has never changed.”

Viscount Godoy Saka’s loose-skinned square face flushed slightly.

He almost retorted.

Yang Ming said seriously,

“This has nothing to do with anyone else. Having an officer present is my personal insistence.

“The imperial code clearly stipulates that nobles cannot administer private justice nor act as judicial bodies under any pretext or circumstance.

“Please handle such murder cases carefully. People like , from the civilian class, love to see nobles face setbacks, so please treat this with caution.”

The expressions of the Imperial Nobles around turned colorful.

An elder said, “In that case, let the officer waiting outside the hotel co in.”

A middle-aged man quickly walked away.

Yang Ming continued to sit with legs crossed, appearing quite natural, though concealing so tension beneath the surface.

Godoy leaned towards Yang Ming, hands behind his back, bending down, and asked softly, “Have you really found the murderer?”

“Hmm,” Yang Ming replied with composure, “I think I might have found them.”

Godoy’s legs almost buckled; he nearly couldn’t stand.

Really, might have?

Can sothing like this be “might have”?

But, at most, it would just be embarrassing; it’s no big deal for a young person to make a mistake.

The downstairs lobby echoed with heavy footsteps.

Yang Ming lowered his leg and stood up next to Godoy, together looking out towards the lobby beyond the conference room.

A black bear entered Yang Ming’s view.

It was a middle-aged man nearly two ters tall, muscular and brawny, with a large police uniform filled to capacity, a face resembling a gorilla with an unkempt and coarse beard that seed long neglected.

The officer’s eyes were piercingly sharp, scanning the room from the conference room door, and most people present dared not et his gaze.

He frowned and asked, “I don’t like your nobles’ ways of doing things; criminal cases should be left to us to handle! Where’s the murder scene?”

“Officer,” an elder said calmly, “you are facing the Saka family. Please maintain humility and courtesy.”

The black bear officer’s mouth twitched slightly, then he forced a grim smile, saying in a gruff voice,

“What do you need , this little officer, to assist with?

“To witness how you tamper with the murder scene, or to hear you recite a list of noble privileges?

“Have you been stalling to give the murderer a chance to escape while making

wait outside for half a Galaxy Ti?”

A few young people glared angrily at the black bear officer.

Yang Ming suddenly said, “Trust , officer, these are a group of noble Imperial nobles who cherish their reputations. They cannot tolerate their family honor being damaged, nor can they allow criminals to go unpunished. It would not be in your best interest to fall out with them.”

The black bear officer shrugged and calmly said, “It doesn’t matter to ; I’m just here to do my job. Where’s the murder scene? I haven’t dealt with such a case in over a month.”

“I’ve already found the murderer, and I invited you in to witness.”

Yang Ming took the initiative, gesturing with his hand,

“This way—I’ll take the officer to the scene first.

“If my judgnt differs significantly from the officer’s, then it holds no persuasion.”

“Hmm,” the officer nodded, looking Yang Ming over and feeling he was just a student with no personal combat ability, “What’s your na?”

“I’m called Hui,” Yang Ming smiled, “the Hui in ‘Glorious.'”

“I’m the deputy chief of the local police station; you can call

Mo Ge.”

“Follow , Deputy Chief Mo Ge,” Yang Ming calmly moved forward, and Deputy Chief Mo Ge glanced at the people in the room, then lowered his head and followed.

Godoy hesitated for two seconds, then quickly followed, “I’ll go take a look! Don’t cause any trouble.”

“Let’s go too,” an elder whispered, “If this young man who calls himself Glorious is just bluffing to gain praise, we must also consider how to maintain our family’s dignity.”

The crowd in the conference room began moving outside, quickly following.

The murder scene was on the second-floor lounge.

Deputy Chief Mo Ge saw the chaotic scene before him and cursed under his breath, “How many people have entered this lounge?”

“At least ten,” Yang Ming said softly.

Mo Ge shook his head, skillfully opening his coat and pulling out two small tal discs over ten centiters in diater, carefully activating them and letting them fly into the room.

They emitted beams of light, creating a data model of the entire room.

Yang Ming leaned against the doorfra with his arms crossed, his glasses flashing streams of data.

—Lyu had already sent over who the murderer was, and a simulation of the cri process.

“Deputy Chief Mo Ge, I already have the answer,” Yang Ming said with full confidence.

“Hmm?” Mo Ge frowned at Yang Ming, “What answer?”
