"Let’s go ho,’’ Gyles tells , tugging both of us out of our seats. Jabi and Darrien are still making out on the dance floor. Okay, I can’t even call this a dance floor. We are outside, In the compound. The wind is blowing heavily but the weather is still nice.

It is almost eleven in the night and maybe Gyles is right.

up first and I pull him closer as I stand up. There are a couple of people left outside but the music has stopped and I guess it is ti to end this party.

At least for the three of us.

Gyles leads us away from the scene. We don’t have to say anything to anyone but Rex still tells Darrien and Jabi goodnight as we walk the path to our house. Once we get to the front of our house. Rex runs over to the front door and opens it.

He is happy.

We have been so happy for the past two years.

Things have been great.

I didn’t know this kind of happiness existed. Even when I found them, it seed like our problems wouldn’t finish but coming back to the community and having no reason to leave has made things better.

There haven’t been any serious issues.

We walk into the house and we all go into our room. Gyles is the first to jump on the bed "Fucking hell, what a party right?’’ he blurts out.

I don’t know how a children’s party turned into drinking and dancing but I am used to it. Rex and Darrien are the ones that organized the drinks. His relationship with Darrien is one I didn’t see coming unlike, Gyles and Alanis. They have all ford bonds in the community.

They have made this place ho.

I might have settled in here completely but I haven’t really made any bonds. They are the only ones that I have connected with. They are the only ones that my heart has taken.

After everything that happened two years ago. I haven’t been able to let anyone else in. I have this fear inside ; this worry that the more people I let into my heart, the more people I will lose.

"I need a shower,’’ Rex informs

as he starts to take off his clothes in front of us. I watch him as he gets rid of his boxers and my eyes darken. Such a beautiful man and he is mine. over the years, Rex has aged like fine wine. He has grown into his body.
