Chapter 715: Chapter 657 A Single Woman Doesn’t Need Anyone Around
Jaron was stunned. He didn’t expect that lissa would reject him. Another girl would have been overwheld by the favor.
lissa’s calmness and composed posture, and right attitude towards money earned Jaron’s admiration.
Marc saw that Julia’s face turned even paler and quickly interrupted.
"Alright. Everyone is tired. Let’s sit and eat."
Marc clapped his hands and the banquet began.
He waved at Julia and smiled. "Julia, co here and eat with ."
Julia imdiately put on a smile and nodded her head. Then, she walked up to Marc tidying up her dress. She looked at lissa with a triumphant look.
lissa ignored her and continued eating.
The servant brought Julia a chair and placed it next to Marc.
Julia’s eyes widened to the maximum, but lissa ignored her. Julia felt kind of bored.
"Chat with Julia after the al. Don’t make her feel bored."
When everyone focused on eating, Marc asked Murray to spend so ti with Julia.
lissa was stunned for a mont, but she still didn’t slow down eating.
"I won’t, Grandpa. I need to stay with lissa."
Unexpectedly, Murray refused Marc in public, which made Julia embarrassed.
"Do as I say. Don’t talk this nonsense."
Marc’s face darkened. He could tell that Julia had lost her face. If he didn’t do sothing to compensate Julia, the Segar family would co to find faults.
"I won’t."
Murray refused again and forked a piece of steak into lissa’s plate. "You like this. Eat more."
lissa was stunned. She didn’t expect Murray to be so protective of her. She nodded, her long curly eyelashes trembling slightly.
Looking at Murray’s gentle eyes, Julia felt sour in her heart.
At the thought of his indifference and dissatisfaction in the office, compared with his gentleness now, Julia felt upset and annoyed.
Due to Marc’s presence, Julia couldn’t say anything but eat silently.
"It’s my banquet. You don’t even listen to , do you?"
Marc got angry and directly criticized Murray in public.
"I just did what I should have done."
Murray would not back down at all and made a scene with Marc in public.
"I have a fiancée. Do you think it’s appropriate for
to stay with a single woman?"
"She was your friend!"
Marc was dissatisfied and defended Julia in public. Seeing the people looking at them, lissa hurriedly tried to comfort them.
"Alright. It’s fine. Let’s eat."
Since lissa said so, Murray didn’t continue to speak. Their faces darkened, and neither of them continued to speak.
The banquet ended unhappily. On the way ho, lissa heaved a sigh of relief.
The next day.
lissa stood in front of Keyon’s place, tidied up her clothes, and then pressed the doorbell.
After she waited for a long ti, the door opened. Just as lissa was about to greet him, she suddenly discovered that the person in front didn’t match Keyon’s figure.
She looked up and saw that it was indeed not Keyon, but Jaron.
lissa’s pupils shrank. Why was Jaron here?
"Hello, Jaron."
lissa greeted Jaron. When Jaron saw lissa, he was a bit surprised but only faintly nodded.
"Co in. You’re here for Keyon, right?"
lissa nodded. She didn’t expect Jaron to be a guest at Keyon’s ho.
"I haven’t visited Keyon for a long ti. I’m afraid that he’ll think that I’m impolite, so I ca here."
"It’s kind of you."
Jaron nodded. His impression of lissa improved a lot.
lissa was prepared for this trip. She especially brought a piece of jade of excellent quality, which Keyon would like.
Jaron noticed this and nodded in satisfaction. He led lissa into the room.
Keyon was sitting in the middle, brewing coffee. "Who is it?"
"Keyon, it’s ."
lissa replied, then placed the jade on the table. "I managed to find this for you."
"It’s so considerate of you."
Keyon smiled and nodded. Then he stood up and ca to lissa.
"Look at this girl. She looks pretty, right?" Keyon said proudly to Jaron.
Keyon raised his eyebrows to Jaron.
"Yes, indeed."
Jaron could only say what Keyon wanted to hear. The next second, Keyon placed his hand in front of lissa’s belly.
"Let
show you sothing. Don’t blink."
Then, Keyon used his internal energy. The veins on his hands slightly bulged. lissa’s painting of energy was displayed in front of their eyes.
Different from that of others, lissa’s painting of energy was green. Compared to others’ dark gray colors, her painting of energy was even purer.
This also ant that lissa’s painting of energy was good. Even Jaron rarely saw it.
His pupils contracted as he clapped his hands. "Good indeed."
The next second, lissa took back her painting of energy.
She didn’t expect Keyon to do such a thing. She was sowhat embarrassed.
"I’m sorry for making a fool of myself in front of you."
lissa scratched her head, becoming a little unnatural.
"How could that be?"
Jaron quickly waved his hand and praised lissa’s painting of energy. "Your painting of energy is much better than that of my students. Many of them have cultivated for a long ti to reach this level. I didn’t expect you to have it at such a young age. It is really rare."
Keyon laughed. He could tell that Jaron was very satisfied with lissa. After all, talents like lissa were rare.
"No, Jaron, please don’t make fun of ."
lissa smiled tactfully, touched her belly, and slowly exhaled.
"It seems that none of the rumors about you are true. I wonder who spread the rumors."
Jaron frowned. Many people were discussing lissa. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes today, he would have believed the rumors.
"We can’t decide what others think. Let them do whatever they like."
lissa faintly replied. Jaron grew even more impressed with her.
It was extrely rare for young people to have such wisdom and steadiness.
Keyon saw through Jaron’s thoughts and quickly stopped him. "Wait a minute. Are you up to sothing again?"
Jaron stared at Keyon.
"Up to sothing? Mind your words!"
