Chapter 7: Chapter 7

I watched as Wesley said sothing to Jas as they both got up, leaving Andrew with

as almost half of the packing table got up behind their Alpha. My eyes followed them out of the cafeteria before turning to Andrew, who was smiling sheepishly.

"Where’d they go?" He shrugged in reply, leaving

with no other choice but to escape. I knew Wesley probably left Andrew here to protect , but I always fought against the Rogues, even if Wesley’s pack didn’t know it. I’d either fight in wolf form and leave before the final battle was over, or I would use what magic I could control and fight them that way. I heard the thunderclap above , aning I had to get ho. Storms make my magic go haywire, as the weather usually affects my mood. Too much sun makes

cranky, the rain and wind are my blessing.

I knew what I needed to do, if I shifted in this I’d do sothing insane. In order to go ho, I needed to get rid of my personal bodyguard. "Andrew, I’m about to leave to go ho okay?" "No! I an, I really think you should stay here Emilia." I cocked an eyebrow at him, standing up on my own two feet. "I’m going Andrew, there isn’t a thing you can do to stop ." Unless you want to spill the beans that is. "Please Emilia, Wesley will kill

if I let you out of my sight."

I sighed, digging around for my car keys. "Just tell him I’m too stubborn, or kneed you in the balls. I’m sure you can figure sothing out." I quickly made my way out the door and to my bike, already dreading the rampage Wesley will go one when he finds out I’m not with Andrew.

I drove quickly to my ho, dreading the beating I’m going to be getting from my dear old Mom when she finds out I skipped school.

I climbed up into my bedroom, grabbing the books and journals I had gotten passed down along in my family. I went over the seer pools, focusing on Wesley as he stood before at least fifteen Rogues.

I began chanting, feeling the wind pick up and fly as I made Wesley and his n stronger than they had ever been. His body glowed under the hidden sun, a smile coming to my face as I watched them begin their fight.

They took the Rogues down fast, looking down at their own bodies in surprise at their strength and ability.

My body surged as thunder rumbled again, and my eyes shut at the sheer pleasure from the rush of energy. I heard a crash from downstairs, shaking

from my thoughts.

I hid the seer pools and journals under my bed, opening my bedroom door slowly. I elongated the claws on my right hand, my feet making no noise as I walked down the steps.

I walked into the living room to find my mother sobbing, staring at her own pools.

"Mom?"

She shot her head up, her brown eyes staring at . She snarled, throwing the bowl of water at .

"Get away with those fucking eyes!" That’s the one thing my mom always spoke of, how I had his eyes.

"Mom, please."

Her hands wrapped around my throat, cutting off the air as she slamd

to the ground.

I sucked in air as her foot got ramd into my ribs, earning a groan in pain.

I cried out when her fist connected with my shoulders, then again when it hit my face.

I felt the blood co from my lips, the taste almost making

puke from the salt and iron. Stars were in my vision as she crouched down, her face close to my neck. She inhaled, her eyes blazing when she looked at .

"Why do you sll of a wolf?" "

I have a project at school, he’s my partner." That earned

another slap, a growl leaving her lips.

"You’re lying. You’re a slut and you’re going to leave just like your pathetic excuse of a father." I whimpered, my eyes squeezing shut as I tried to inch away from her.

I heard her growl at

before the familiar hit of a bottle, the glass exploding over

as alcohol rained down on .

I lay there as the house grew silent, and my mother went into her bedroom. I’m not sure how long I was on the floor, but pain kept radiating through

as I cried. I finally got up slowly, my body screaming as I pushed myself off the ground. I shook the glass out of my hair, shutting my eyes as I made my way outdoors.

I walked deeper into the woods, the sll of alcohol surrounding . I had blood sared on my face, and I’m sure my body was littered with bruises. I knew I wouldn’t be able to go to school tomorrow,

I just hoped they didn’t ask too many questions. I stepped out into a field covered in flowers, the bright colors screaming against the sunset.

I lay there until the sun was almost completely gone when I heard rustling, my eyes squeezing shut as I welcod it. "Emilia?"

It was worse than a Rogue, I could already hear what he was thinking.

Why is she reaking of alcohol in the middle of the field?

Alcoholic.

Alcoholic.

Alcoholic.

The words echoed in my head as he made his way closer, my body shuddering as he stepped closer.

"Emilia?"
