Chapter 343: Chapter 285 Marc Is Critically Ill
Leaning against Murray’s chest, lissa felt a familiar feeling of ease.
The unhappiness of being provoked by Sarah and Claire vanished.
Murray carried lissa to the bathroom door and put her down gently as if she were a fragile porcelain doll.
"Take a shower," Murray said with a rare tenderness in his eyes.
"Thank you." lissa was in a trance. She took the clean clothes Murray handed over and went into the bathroom.
The vapour filled the bathroom. lissa stood under the shower and raised her head. The water washed every inch of her skin.
She felt warm and comfortable.
After a long ti, lissa turned off the shower and opened her eyes.
After changing into dry clothes, lissa felt no more depressed and much more comfortable.
lissa yawned and walked out of the bathroom. She found that the bedroom, ssed up by Sarah and Claire, restored its cleanliness.
The wet sheet and blanket had been changed to the clean ones. The clothes that Claire had pulled out were neatly hung in the wardrobe.
Did Murray do all of that?
lissa raised his eyebrow and wanted to thank Murray.
However, Murray had gone.
lissa frowned and opened the door. She looked around but did not find Murray.
Finally, she saw a note left on the fridge by Murray.
"I will be on a business trip to Pulchra for a week. Doleen Desert will send tarts at eight in the morning every day. Take care of yourself."
A business trip?
Why was he suddenly on a business trip?
After lissa read the note, she subconsciously took out her phone to call Murray.
However, lissa thought for a while and put her phone aside.
...
At the Yale’s villa.
Adela sat on the sofa and read the news about lissa and Jaylin on her phone. Then, she smiled triumphantly.
"Adela, everyone knows about lissa’s scandal. Her reputation has been ruined." Julie stood next to Adela and said cautiously.
Julie was taken away by the police that night, and the White family spent a lot of effort to get her out.
Adela snorted and glared at Julie, "How dare you talk about that? You missed the opportunity, and lissa put you in trouble. You can’t even handle such a trifle. If it were not for
asking the dia to report it this way, everything would be over."
Julie apologised, "Adela, it was all my fault. However, I have tried to make up for my fault by paying so many trolls to ruin lissa’s reputation."
"By the way, how is Anaya?" Adela suddenly rembered sothing.
Julie replied, "I heard her brother found bodyguards to look after her and kept her in the Knowles’ house."
"Really?" Adela narrowed her sparkly eyes. "If she can’t go out, we can go to find her."
"Adela, you an..." Julie asked.
Adela pointed to the photos of lissa and Jaylin on the phone. "Show these to Anaya."
Anaya liked Jaylin, and she had been looking for trouble with lissa because of Jaylin.
If Anaya saw the rumours about Jaylin and lissa, she would definitely go crazy with jealousy.
She would put lissa in trouble again.
"OK, I’ll go to the Knowles family tomorrow." Julie nodded.
"Wait for tomorrow? Let’s go now." As Adela spoke, she stood up and glared at Julie. "Hurry up!"
Adela could not wait anymore.
lissa was charming, so she must be good at seducing n.
lissa had moved back to Murray’s apartnt, and the two of them were together day and night. Thinking about that, Adela gritted her teeth in hatred.
"Adela, wait for ." Julie followed Adela.
They ca to the Knowles’ house. Julie rang the doorbell.
The one who opened the door was the Knowles family’s butler.
"We are here to see Anaya," said Julie.
The butler recognized them and said politely, "Ms. Yale and Ms. White, please wait a mont."
The butler went to Anaya’s room, and Anaya was throwing a tantrum.
"Ms. Knowles, Ms. Yale and Ms. White are waiting for you outside," the butler said cautiously.
Adela and Julie?
"Let them in," Anaya said sulkily.
After a while, Adela and Julie followed the butler and went into Anaya’s room.
"Why do you want to see ?" Anaya glanced at them indifferently.
Adela winked at Julie, and Julie knew her intention and said, "Ms. Knowles, I heard that you were locked up by your brother. Adela and I ca to see you."
"That’s not true. I just felt uncomfortable recently, so I didn’t go out," Anaya denied.
"Are you alright?" Adela asked with concern.
Anaya shook her head and said indifferently, "I am fine."
"Ms. Knowles, that is good you are fine. I feel angry for you," Julie said.
As Julie spoke, she turned on her phone and showed it to Anaya. "Look! How shaless lissa is! She is seducing Mr. Segar again."
Anaya looked at the phone screen.
When she saw how intimate lissa and Jaylin were, her eyes blazed with jealousy.
No wonder Dylan took Anaya’s phone away early in the morning.
He must be afraid that she would see the news.
Anaya cursed lissa.
Anaya thought she was locked up by Dylan because of lissa.
She decided not to let go of lissa.
Seeing that their goal had been achieved, Adela and Julie looked at each other.
Julie smiled. "Ms. Knowles, Adela and I are relieved to see you are fine. It is getting late. We will not disturb you anymore. You’d better have a good rest."
The next day.
lissa got up at eight o’clock, and she received the tarts from Doleen Desert on ti.
When she went out, the driver had been waiting for her to send her to the Gibson Corporation.
"Ms. Eugen, Mr. Gibson told
to send you to the company," The driver said to lissa respectfully.
lissa felt warm in her heart.
Although Murray had gone on a business trip, everything had been arranged for her properly.
Sitting in the car, lissa looked out of the window. Her mood fluctuated.
She wondered whether she should agree to return to Murray.
lissa decided to wait a few days more...
After all, Lily’s problem had not been solved.
When lissa arrived at the Gibson Corporation, she turned on her computer. Before she started to work, her phone rang.
lissa looked down and found it was from Zane.
Why did Zane call her early in the morning?
lissa’s heart skipped a beat.
Could it be that sothing happened to Mr. Marc?
"Dr. White, what’s up?" lissa answered the call imdiately.
Zane’s anxious voice ca from the other end of the line. "Ms. Eugen, Mr. Marc got worse suddenly. He is in an ergency operation. We couldn’t reach Mr. Gibson, so we can only call you."
