Chapter 220: Chapter 162 No Engagent Ceremony Tonight
A complicated look flashed across lissa’s eyes. She looked deeply at Murray and left.
Her footsteps were heavy and difficult to take.
lissa walked out of the door in a daze. Nina was walking towards her. She panted and said, "lissa, I have looked over there. I didn’t see Murray..."
"There’s no need to look for him," lissa said coldly, her nails digging into her flesh.

"Nina, let’s go!" lissa ca back to her senses and pulled Nina to the road.
The taxi was still there. The driver went to the bathroom and just got back to the car.
Just as he was about to start the car, lissa opened the door, got in the car, and said to the driver in a deep voice, "Go to the Empire Hotel.
The Empire Hotel was owned by the Gibson Corporation. It was also the place where the engagent ceremony was held tonight.
"lissa, what happened? Did you find Murray?" Seeing lissa’s appearance strange, Nina asked.
lissa’s face was cold as she bit her lips and nodded.
"Where is he? Why isn’t he with you? Did he go to the Empire Hotel first?" Nina was very worried and her tone sounded anxious.
She had known lissa for so long, but she had never seen her like this.
There must be sothing wrong.
lissa closed her eyes and a mocking smile appeared on her face. "Tonight, there won’t be an engagent ceremony."
"What?" Nina was shocked.
lissa took a deep breath and said indifferently, "I’ve decided to cancel the engagent with Murray. Tonight’s engagent ceremony will also be canceled."
"Cancel the engagent? lissa, are you joking?" Nina asked in shock.
"Do I look like I’m joking?" lissa laughed self-deprecatingly.
"Why?" Nina asked.
lissa’s heart twitched violently. "Murray’s first love has returned. He has been missing for a whole day today to be with her."
"First love? Do you an Lily is back? How could this be?" Nina’s tone was filled with disbelief.
She once heard lissa talk about Lily and knew that Murray once loved a girl nad Lily.
But Lily fell off the cliff and there was no news of her for so many years. Everyone thought that she was no longer in the world.
But on the engagent day of Murray and lissa, Lily suddenly appeared.
Nina didn’t know how to comfort lissa, "Even if Lily cos back, Murray might not choose her. lissa, don’t be like this. You have to talk with him."
"Murray’s action has explained everything. Why should I ruin his joy?" lissa narrowed her beautiful eyes, her tone a bit bitter.
"But..." Nina knew lissa’s personality. lissa was a woman with independent opinions, self-esteem, and arrogance. No one could change what she decided.

Guests gathered in the most luxurious banquet hall on the first floor and it was very lively.

Many reporters rushed over early, for fear that they missed the important news.
Everyone was looking forward to the engagent, except for Adela.
She stared hatefully at the stage at the front of the banquet hall. Murray and lissa were about to hold an engagent ceremony there and receive everyone’s blessings.
Why would Murray’s fiancé be lissa?
"Adela, don’t be angry. It’s just an engagent, not a marriage." Julie felt Adela’s anger and quickly comforted her.
Adela took a deep breath. "You’re right. It’s just an engagent."
"That’s right. We will find a way to chase this bitch away!" Julie looked in Jaylin’s direction, imrsed in her own thoughts.
Since lissa and Murray were engaged, she wouldn’t pester Jaylin, right?
Ti ticked by and everyone was present. But tonight’s couple Murray and lissa were nowhere to be seen.
Marc was a little puzzled. He called Murray, but his phone was turned off. lissa didn’t answer the phone call, either.
"Jose, get soone to look for Murray." Marc furrowed, feeling a little uneasy.
He understood his grandson. Murray was not a person not punctual.
Moreover, today was such an important day. He should have arrived long ago.
Why was he nowhere to be seen now? Why couldn’t he even be reached over the phone?
"Mr. Marc, don’t worry. He might have been delayed by sothing." Jose comforted Marc.
Sarah and Claire walked over in high heels.
"Dad, what is Murray doing?" Sarah had a dissatisfied expression.
Ever since Jim held a press conference and Sarah spoke up for him, Sarah’s position in the Gibson Corporation had plumted.
Murray moved to the Moonlight Mansion and had not returned ho for so many days.
"He’s your son. Why are you asking ?" Marc glanced at her indifferently.
Sarah was choked by Marc’s words and was about to say sothing when Claire pulled her hand.
"Grandpa, Murray is not soone who doesn’t know what’s important. I think he must be rushing over," Claire said sweetly, not forgetting to sar lissa, "But what is lissa doing? Murray’s phone is out of battery. Why doesn’t she answer the phone? She doesn’t know how to behave."
Marc was about to say sothing when he heard soone shout, "They’re coming!"
Soone shouted and everyone looked towards the door.
lissa was dressed in a bright red dress. She got out of the taxi and was walking towards the entrance of the banquet hall.
Seeing lissa from afar, Marc heaved a sigh of relief. However, he imdiately realized that sothing was weird.
Why was lissa alone? Where was Murray?
