Chapter 19: Chapter 19

"That’s fine, go get your backpack so we can start working." He nodded before flashing

another smile and tugging

along with him. We sat at the dining room table with papers spread around us, questions about each other answered. We were currently trying to figure out how to include Shakespeare into our project, the little paperback book that started it all sitting before . I ran my fingers along the edges, thumbing the worn pages as I read the little notes he had scribbled. I had stayed up late nurous nights reading just the notes, my index finger tracing the way his letters sloped and curved. "Lets go see a play." My head shot up, looking at Wesleys excited gaze. "Huh?" "Lets go see Taming of the Shrew in action!" He grinned at his plan, opening up his MacBook almost imdiately and turning it on. "The only places they have preforming this is in New York or so other big town, which we can’t go too." He furrowed his eyebrows as he continued typing, occasionally looking up to et my gaze. "Why can’t we? Look," he whirled the laptop around to show a CONGRATULATIONS banner, my eyebrows furrowing deeper themselves. "I already have tickets, next weekend, we’re going." I gulped. I might actually be able to get away next weekend, mother had a coven eting she was required to go to since she was the October Skye. One thing about my mother, was before everything with my father happened, she was a world renowned witch. Known for her beauty and power, she had n fawning at her feet; but all it took was one little wolf for her to co crumbling down. I guess my mother and I had more in common than I thought. I looked back to Wesley with cautious eyes, his own face grinning as he looked at

with hope. "Okay, I’ll go." He shot up from his chair and embraced , sparks shooting out at the bare skin he touched. I smiled, relaxing from the way I tensed up when he touched . God I need to stop doing that. I sat back down along with Wesley, his smile sending my heart fluttering right in my chest. I pulled out the paper and set it between us, asking him questions over his opinion of the book. We sat there close to two hours, before I heard footsteps and a couple entered. A woman with dark hair and the sa bright blue eyes as Wesley stared at

with a huge smile, and an older version of Wesley at her side. "Oh Wesley! She’s so much more beautiful than you said!" I cocked an eyebrow at Wesley, his face heating up and turning red under my gaze. I turned back to his mother, giving her a small smile before standing and walking with my hand out. "I’m Emilia Marsh." She swatted my hand away before pulling

into a hug, my body imdiately tensing under her arms. I tried to force myself to calm under her grasp, but her arms left

almost soon after. "I’m Elena, and this is Wesleys father Ezekiel." I smiled and gave him my hand, which he graciously shook instead of pulling

into a hug like his mother. His father looked at

with calculating eyes, eyeing my skin for any marks. I knew what he was undoubtedly looking for, the mark of a witch. Since I was only half of one, I didn’t have a mark. Most witches had a half crescent moon along their arms, although higher ranking ones had both the sun and the moon. My mother had both, one on each arm. I’d seen them vividly when she hit , my fingers shaking slightly at the mory. I smiled as Andrew walked in behind them, but my smile faulted when I saw his grim face. Wesley gave him a confused expression, inching closer to . "Sorry Emilia." I furrowed my eyebrows and was about to speak when another man entered the room, his eyes catching mine. They shown vivid green, the sa erald as my own. He looked so much like , my heart began trembling in my chest. I looked to Andrew in panic, his jaw set as he glared openly at his father. "Hello!" I snapped up to his gaze, his face set with a wide grin. My grin. My hands trembled at my sides as I cast Andrew another fleeting look, desperately trying to get him to help.

"Everette, this is Emilia, my, erm, friend." I could help myself, my eyes began shining as I tried to keep my emotions at bay. Lightening cracked outside as a roaring thunder erupted, the sound of trees falling and crunching. I looked at Andrew to find his eyes on , everyone looking back out the window to see what the trees had hit. ’I have to leave Andrew, I’m causing this storm.’

He nodded briefly, opening his mouth briefly before his father butt in. "Emilia? That’s such an odd na, although oddly enough, I was going to na my child that if I ever had a girl."
