Chapter 158: Orbital Strike, Inbound
A purifying white light infused Belladonna’s body as she raced forwards once more, her broken bones snapping back into place and fusing themselves back together from Saige’s healing. She regained use of her arm just in ti to arrive at the side of the Dragon.
Her fists blurred as she let loose a barrage of punches, pumlling into its side like a machine gun. Each punch reinforced with her earth infusion for durability and strength, although no where near the level of her ga punch from before.
She was hoping that quantity would win over quality, and that chip damage could be the way. But with how she could feel her knuckles slapping uselessly against the stone scales, it might have been better to just go punch a random wall for all the damage it was doing.
With the addition of the Golden Princes, as well as the steady stream of players trickling in while others got killed, the number of bodies surrounding the dragon was steadily increasing. However even with axes, swords and spells smashing into its stone scales, barely anything was getting through.
However even still, being surrounded by ants constantly nipping at you was unpleasant for anyone, even if they weren’t doing real damage, and that included Dragons.
Without warning, because when did anyone ever give warning for such things, the dragon pushed itself up so that it was standing on just its hind legs, as lines of orange mana started to manifest in the air.
It was as if they were being drawn by an invisible pen, with lava for the ink, as it rapidly drew a circle and decorated it with geotric lines cutting the circle into different segnts, then filling those segnts with intricate runes.
Underneath the shadow of the looming dragon, Belladonna’s eyes widened as they darted over the runes that were being drawn.
"Earth... Shake... Tooth? No... Spike. Earth Spikes!" She rapidly pieced together, picking out the few key words in the runic circle that she recognised. Her analysis was imdiately shoved into the group chat with a thought, as the Scrying skull did not require physical typing, and leapt into the air.
A second later, Lilith read the ssage and followed suit, her muscular thighs bulging as she launched upwards just as the Dragon slamd down.
Its feet shoved the runic circle into the ground, which imdiately caused the stone beneath the beast to shatter from the impact. At least that it was it seed at first, as the earth began to rumble like an Earthquake and hundreds of spikes made of pure stone erupted from beneath their feet.
They tore through armour and flesh, skewering their legs, arms, torso’s and even the heads of a few that were unfortunate enough to fall from the impact of the dragons landing. It was a devastating attack that nearly wiped out everyone within a five tre radius around it.
So survived, either by quick reactions or having already taken precautions. For example most of Golden Princes was surrounded by a bubble of translucent golden energy, as the Prince himself stood at the front of his gathered army. His head bowed and sword clutched to his chest and pointed downwards, as the bubble radiated out from him.
Through the protection of the bubble, Belladonna could see plenty of the mbers of Golden Prince that she recognised, and even more than she did not. Although one face, one very punchable face with its silky and wavy golden hair, was unmissable in that crowd.
Looks like this was Queen LusciousLox’s first official outing. How wonderful. Who knows, maybe it was a perfect outing for her to have a little accident...
Belladonna chuckled to herself wickedly as flas spewed from her feet, causing her to rocket through the air and straight towards the airborne Lilith.
Lilith dismissed her tower shield, letting it fade away into pitch black aura that clung to her body once more, and clamped her hand onto Belladonna’s as she flew by. Belladonna grunted and had to massively increase her fire output to keep her speed with the new added weight.
"Rember that weak point Corpse face ntioned?" Belladonna shouted with a grunt, as she kept them climbing higher and higher.
"Right where the neck ets the skull, right?" Lilith replied, already morphing her single handed axe into a colossal, double headed chopping axe that could cleave a child in half and dig into the ground, still have so of the blade above their head.
When they nearly touched the clouds, Belladonna finally stopped climbing. She let them drop, twisting in the air and starting to accelerate again, this ti hurtling straight down. The wind rushed past their face as she sent a ssage to the rest of the ground, informing them of her plan.
"That’s right, Now don’t miss!" She shouted over the wind, straining her arm and launching Lilith forwards as they plumted, giving her just that extra bit of speed before redirecting herself out of the impact zone.
A soft white light encapsulated Lilith as she fell, as Saige hit her with a heal over ti to recover from the impact, before a golden light entered the mix. A gift of protection from the Prince of Stars.
Vines erupted from the ground, as well as dozens of massive hands ford out of hundreds of bones, as they both latched onto the Dragon. The bone hands grabbed its legs, while the vines wrapped around and ensnared its body, although they were already starting to catch fire.
One final bone hand burst out of the ground, just in front of the dragons head, grabbing its maw and clenching it closed as it forced its head down, perfectly exposing its weak spot.
Lilith let out a bloodthirsty roar as she descended like a teor and swing her axe like the executioners blade, slamming it into the Dragons neck perfectly.
The collision of the two, and the Dragons head slamming into the ground from the force, let out a massive explosion that tore through all of the Dragons bindings and threw even more people back than the earth spikes killed.
When the dust settled, Lilith was left standing on the Dragons neck, her colossal axes blade stuck a few inches deep in its scales, which had shattered from the impact and allowed a trickle of blood to leak out. The Hellion wrenched the blade up, lifting it high above her head to deal another blow.
But before she could try to take its head again, a fireball swerved through the air from the lines of the Golden Prince guild and flew straight towards Lilith, before exploding in her face.
