Yu Xuan wove his way through the factory. The scorching heat from the Forging Furnaces made the air feel blistering. A layer of cold mist rose from his body, coalescing into ice armor, after which his expression finally eased.
He made his way to a secret room in the deepest part of the factory. After waiting for a long ti, Zhou Xian arrived, the sleeve of his right arm still hanging empty. His expression was placid. "He agreed?"
"Yes." Yu Xuan nodded, a hint of smugness in his tone. "At the end of the day, he’s just from a refugee background. He doesn’t have the power to resist."
These words made Zhou Xian’s face darken considerably. "Are you implying that my inability to deal with him is because I’m not capable enough?"
Yu Xuan shrugged. He didn’t show much reverence for Zhou Xian, a tiger brought low. "That’s not what I ant."
Zhou Xian was furious, but he forcibly suppressed his anger and said in a low voice, "After we get the Space Crystal and the extracted power of Black Tuo, kill Su Chen imdiately."
Yu Xuan was surprised and couldn’t help but ask, "Don’t we still need his power to corrupt Yuan Chenyang?"
"I was lying to him." Zhou Xian sneered. "You have to give him sothing to look forward to, to make the first part of the plan go smoothly."
’Wily old fox,’ Yu Xuan cursed internally. He hesitated before asking, "Is this... the Priest’s intention?"
"Of course. He desecrated your Divine Spirit, so naturally, he must die," Zhou Xian nodded.
"That’s reasonable." Yu Xuan didn’t show any excessive fanaticism, only concern. "He’s already a Tier Two Professional, and he’s probably a Gale Hunter. Even with a sneak attack, killing him will be difficult."
Zhou Xian casually tossed an object over. "Catch!"

"Get lost." Zhou Xian waved his hand dismissively, his bearing a far cry from his forr self as the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Before Yu Xuan could turn, he saw Zhou Xian’s face suddenly turn incredibly grim. "Idiot!" he roared. "You didn’t even know you were followed."
Yu Xuan’s face went blank. Before he could react, he heard the rumbling sound of explosions outside.
"Retreat!" Without a mont’s hesitation, Zhou Xian shot out of the room, not even sparing Yu Xuan a glance.
"Where do you think you’re going!" a furious shout ca from outside. Yu Xuan’s heart pounded as he quickly escaped through a secret passage.

’They’re out...’ Su Chen sensed the faint spiritual imprint. He didn’t dare get close to the encirclent, carefully circling it from the outside.
BOOM!
A thunderous crack echoed across the sky as azure lightning flashed in the distance, followed by the rise of cyan flas.
’Zhou Xian is here too...’
Su Chen looked away. Zhou Xian wasn’t soone he could afford to provoke right now. It would be best if he were caught, but if not, there was nothing Su Chen could do about it.
"Soone’s over here!"
The roaring outside was incessant. Yu Xuan’s scalp tingled with fear. The area was surrounded by the Inspectorate’s combat airships, their searchlights sweeping across the surroundings.
’Did I really lead them here?’
These airships seed to have arrived right after Zhou Xian, but setting up an ambush like this couldn’t be done in such a short amount of ti. It had clearly been prepared in advance.

He snapped his head up to see a twisted, crimson bolt of lightning as thick as an arm and several ters long, spreading out above him. Just one look at it made Yu Xuan’s blood run cold.
But the target didn’t seem to be him. A dark figure suddenly shot out from the side, wielding a long, cyan weapon that looked like an iron whip. It ca lashing toward him, wrapped in a gale.
As if ticulously calculated, the mont the crimson lightning descended was the exact mont the iron whip ca crashing down on his head.
CRACKLE—The cyan iron whip drew the lightning into itself. The two energies rged as if they were living things, and the whip was instantly enveloped in crimson arcs of electricity, its killing intent unstoppable.
It all happened in an instant. His pupils contracted rapidly in the brilliant light, but Yu Xuan’s subconscious reaction was fast. He had already thrust his hands forward, and a biting cold wind ford an icy barrier.
CRACK!
The tip of the Cyan Rope Iron Whip let out an explosive crack!

The icy barrier was shattered by the blow, sending shattered ice crystals flying.

This wasn’t Su Chen’s first ambush; he had accumulated plenty of experience and knew to strike when his opponent was most relaxed.
His opponent was, after all, a Tier Two Upper Professional. Even if he hadn’t passed the 50% mark, he wasn’t to be underestimated.
He hadn’t held back at all, empowering his Iron Whip with [Fury of the Storm] and using [Crimson Thunder Urgency] to summon the lightning. The stacked effects resulted in absurdly high power.
But the result was beyond his expectations; he didn’t even need a second strike.
’That’s all it took...’ Su Chen shook his head, then suddenly realized, ’I made too much noise. I need to leave, now.’
His gaze swept over the charred corpse again. He rushed forward and expertly searched the entire body, then vanished without a trace in the blink of an eye.
Not long after, a patrol airship descended. Several Inspector Guards got into formation and cautiously approached to investigate.

Climbing in through the window, Su Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief.
’Killed another one...’
