Chapter 147: Chapter Hundred And Forty Seven
Silence descended upon the room, heavy and suffocating. Ryan, his gaze fixed on the floor, felt the weight of Suzy’s words pressing down on him. He dismissed Davis with a curt nod, his voice barely a whisper, "Leave us."
The door clicked shut behind Davis, leaving them alone. Suzy, her eyes filled with a mixture of emotions – anger, sadness, and a profound love – closed her eyes briefly, collecting her thoughts. "I hate you so much for keeping that from , Ryan," she confessed, her voice a re breath. "But my love for you supersede the hatred I felt."
The confession hung heavy in the air. Ryan looked at her, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Cassandra?" he whispered, the na heavy on his tongue.
She walked towards him, her steps hesitant, her heart pounding against her ribs. Her mind reeling " I also lied to you. I’m Suzy not Cassandra . I want to tell you so badly but it would ruin a lot of things."
Suzy took a deep breath, the truth finally out. "I Love You ," she said, her voice trembling. "I might still be angry, after all I’m human. I feel hurt too. But... but I can’t stay angry with you for so long. You’ve been punishing yourself for years, Ryan. You were just a child, caught in the crossfire of grown-up mistakes."
Tears welled up in his eyes. "I never blad you for her death, Ryan," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I was just... so angry that you kept it from . That you shut
out."
She reached out, gently cupping his face in her hands. Her fingers traced the lines of his jaw, the rough stubble of his beard, morizing every detail. "How do you want to punish , Ryan?" she asked softly, her voice husky. "What is my punishnt?"
Ryan was speechless, his emotions swirling within him – shock, disbelief, happiness and a profound, overwhelming relief. He wanted to speak, to tell her how much her words ant to him, to confess his own love, but the words seed to have deserted him.
Suzy, sensing his turmoil, leaned forward and straddled his lap, her body pressing against his. She gently took his hands, guiding them to rest on her hips. "I’m waiting, Ryan," she whispered, her fingers tracing patterns in his hair. "Tell
what you want."
He looked at her, his eyes searching hers for any sign of doubt, any hint of negative emotions. But all he saw was love – a deep, abiding love that transcended the duration of pain and misunderstanding.
Slowly, tentatively, his hands moved, exploring the curves of her body. He felt her shiver beneath him, a soft moan escaping her lips. In that mont, all the anger, the pain, the months of separation seed to lt away.
Suzy leaned closer, her breath warm against his ear. "Didn’t you miss ?" she whispered, her voice husky with desire.
Ryan remained still, his eyes closed, his breathing heavy. Suzy gently shook him, concern clouding her features. "Ryan?"
He finally opened his eyes, his gaze hazy, a slow smile spreading across his face. "Miss you?" he echoed, his voice rough with suppressed desire. "I haven’t known a mont’s peace since you... since I pushed you away."
Suzy felt a jolt of pleasure, her heart pounding in her chest. Without warning, she threw her robe aside, the silk fabric pooling at the foot of the desk. Nightwear, a delicate lace creation, clung to her curves, revealing the contours of her body.
Ryan’s eyes widened, a low groan escaping his lips. He reached out, his fingers tracing the delicate lace, his touch tentative at first, then growing bolder.
Suzy leaned forward, her lips brushing against his forehead, then his cheek, then his neck. "Have you missed this?" she murmured, her voice a silken caress.
Ryan’s hands, trembling slightly, fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, his fingers clumsy with a newfound urgency. He wanted to devour her, to taste her, to lose himself in the sensation of her skin against his.
Suzy, sensing his growing desperation, moved closer, her lips trailing a path of fire across his chest. She could feel his heart pounding beneath his skin, a frantic rhythm mirroring her own.
He finally managed to undo his shirt, the fabric falling away to reveal his broad chest, his muscles taut with suppressed desire. Suzy ran her hands over his chest, her fingers tracing the lines of his muscles, the rough texture of his skin.
Ryan groaned, his head falling back against the chair. "Cassandra," he whispered, his voice hoarse. "You have no idea how much I’ve missed you."
Suzy leaned down, her lips eting his in a searing kiss. It was a desperate kiss, a hungry kiss, a kiss that spoke volus of their pent-up desires, their years of longing.
Ryan responded with equal fervor, his arms wrapping around her, pulling her closer, closer. His hands road over her body, exploring every inch of her skin, awakening a fire within her that threatened to consu them both.
Ryan broke the kiss, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He looked at her, his eyes burning with passion. "You have no idea," he murmured, his voice hoarse. "How much I’ve waited for this."
Suzy smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Neither did I," she confessed, her voice barely a whisper.
Ryan, driven by a primal need, swept everything off his desk in a flurry of motion. Ledgers, books, and stacks of papers scattered across the floor, creating a chaotic tableau. With the desk finally cleared, he scooped Suzy into his arms, her soft laughter echoing through the room. He carried her to the center of the desk, his gaze burning into hers.
Shirtless, he hovered over her, his body radiating heat. He gently cupped her face, his thumbs tracing the delicate curve of her jawline. "You are driving
mad, woman," he breathed, his voice husky with desire.
He leaned down, his lips trailing a path of fire across her neck. Suzy arched into him, a soft moan escaping her lips. He began to unfasten the delicate straps of her gown, his fingers trembling slightly.
The gown falls to her waist revealing her breast. He rested his head in between them inhaling all of her scent. " let
stay like this for a few minutes, please." He said, snuggling deeper into her soft breasts.
Suzy let out a soft giggle. " Of course." She said as she stroked his hair.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and a figure rushed into the study.
