Chapter 834: Chapter 834: One Small Step For Monkey

"Do you know why I called our campaign in Hive Heaven a Liberation?"

Silas was stunned by the question. He had thought that Kael would ask him sothing related to being almost converted to an avatar but he guessed Kael was still taking his ti.

"Because it is?" Silas answered absent-mindedly. Technically, what they were doing in Hive Heaven was a liberation of one looking at it from a very narrow angle.

The countless bees were under the oppression of their queens and the lions were trying to save them.

Yeah, that sounded right.

"But it isn’t, is it?" Silas asked.

Kael shook his head, "It isn’t.

Liberation is rely a label we use, among many.

In truth, we want to conquer them and take their resources. Framing it as a liberation is just us being polite.

When power flows, it does so under the guise of many labels that make it easy for it to slip away without anyone’s notice.

Do you understand where I’m going with this, son?" Kael asked after explaining.

"Yes Father," Silas nodded, he lowered his head, closed his eyes, and sighed.

"I was offered power and I didn’t know what guise it was under. Since you already know, I’m assuming that you are disappointed not because I was offered the power, but because I didn’t report it," Silas said, his shoulders dropping.

"Precisely," Kael said. Everyone knew that he would eventually know. His near omniscience was not just a myth, it was an eventuality.

Even though he could never truly know everything happening within the lion system in detail, he still knew enough to crush the minds of all his peers.

Still, Kael would have appreciated it if Silas had made an effort to report it first.

Planning an intervention with his older brother was sweet but it was not the right way.

If Kael were not using wisdom and was going by the ’kill first ask questions later’ policy, Silas would be dead by now.

Lions did not have qualms about killing their sons, just as the sons did not have issues killing their fathers. Kael was no exception.

"I did not accept it," Silas said.

"I know," Kael said.

"I ignored it," Silas continued, "I don’t know how it found

or who it was..."

"It’s fine," Kael said, "Know that you know what you need to know, I expect you know what to do."

Silas opened his eyes, a decisive light flashing within, "We should wait for it to reach out again?"

Kael smiled. At least this son inherited his scheming mindset, "Sothing like that.

The Lion Hegemony is going to be causing way more trouble in the next few years than it has ever done since its existence.

No one is our friend. Even those who dine with us and claim so are not our friends, irrespective of how good their intentions are.

We should be the ones doing the betrayal and backstabbing.

We should be the ones burning bridges.

Since soone wants to offer you power, to be an avatar. We shall use it to our advantage.

Power is rarely given, but it is almost always taken and we shall take as much as we can at every given opportunity.

You know what to do," Kael said.

Silas nodded his head, "I won’t disappoint you, father."

After that, Kael and Silas zood deeper into the Hive Heaven, chasing after the red light that represented Jordan.

At this ti, a bold ssage had appeared in one of the forums that sent all of the lions into an uproar.

[Azeus has descended and is charging into Hive Heaven...]

Soone who had been at the defence station hurriedly sent this information exactly as he had seen it.

As if the lions were not suffering from overheated blood already. This only caused their blood pressure to rise further.

To fight alongside the powerful was such a fantastic feeling and could not be replicated by anything else.

It seed Azeus had been hearing that Jordan was held back and in retreat. Such a thing was so unheard of that Azeus wanted to see the group of bugs who had done it.

Of course, he was coming with malicious intent and a whole host of newly crowned Immortal Kings who were searching for enemies to sink their teeth into.

Maybe, just maybe, Hive Heaven will fall within the week.

It was starting to look like a certainty.

But if that happened? What next?

What would happen next when the lions beco aware of their full ability to invade other heavenly realms?

The heavens were supposed to be a sacred space where creatures could retreat and shed themselves away from the mortal dust of existence.

Alas, as it was coming to pass, even the Heavenverse was becoming unsafe.

Unlike Ibadon and the dragons or the other few incidents, the lions were unlikely to retreat after they tasted a bit of power.

Everyone was on edge.

All because of one race.

At another corner of the mortalverse, while so many things were occurring and the future was looking terrible for ordinary folks, one arkship had parked in a lonely star system.

In this star system, almost all the planets here were surprisingly habitable..this whole star system would be worth a lot of Crab Coins if the Hegemony got their hands on it.

Or perhaps, they already did.

"One small step for a monkey!" A voice echoed into the communication system in George’s ear.

He was wearing a fitted survival vest with a stylish black helt covering his whole face.

He stepped out of the shuttle and onto the earthly ground. His feet felt the sensation of the moist ground, alerting him that this suit was really wack.

Still, he continued walking, leaving the shuttle behind as well as the cautious monkey who was looking at him.

Finally, after coming in front of a tall tree, George paused. He looked up. Every breath he took echoed annoyingly in his ears, a reminder that the oxygen tanks would eventually run out.

"One giant leap for the monkey kind!" George completed, even though he had taken way more than one step by now.

No longer able to hide himself and his curiosity, George suddenly raised his hands and pulled the helt on his head.

"Aaagh!" The monkeys who were observing his vitals from the shuttle on their screen exclaid in George’s ear.

But George did not relent. He took a deep breath, confirming that this place was very much habitable.

This was it, their first stronghold and their launchpad into the ranks of cosmic factions.

"You seem awfully reckless for soone so smart."

Suddenly, a deep and quiet voice sounded out from the area behind the tree.
