Chapter 829: Chapter 829: Emperor Zain, You Owe !
Draconic Heaven, the new Imperial Continent.
This Imperial Continent was not even up to one-third the size of the Apex continent back in Leonine Heaven.
It was just ant to be a base of operations for the Imperial authority and nothing more. Emperor Zain did not have the ti or the skilled builders needed to build a glorious command base like the All-King.
Right now, a large Heavenly Gate opened up close to the only building on the continent.
"Well co, All-King,"
From the depths of the Heavenly Gate, Kael stepped out and landed his booted feet on the soily ground.
Behind him, three other humanoids walked through the Heavenly Gate too. One of them had two antler-like horns on his head, showing that he was a Creation Dragon.
The other two wore expressions of arrogance as they walked closer to Kael and had their heads raised high while surveying their surroundings.
Obviously, they were lions.
It was a funny scene because these two lions in humanoid forms were not even close to Kael’s strength. Both of them were tier 4 and far from tier 5.
Even then, they had the most arrogant expressions on their faces as their waltz into the Draconic Heaven with Kael.
They looked like they would be willing to fight against the whole Dragon Empire if just one of them decided to insult their race.
Kael would not bring himself to interact with them on a normal day if not for the fact that they were the ones responsible for keeping tabs on the dragon outposts and making sure that there was a maintained level of communication between the two races.
These two lions had been positioned outside a dragon outpost in the mortalverse and they had suddenly been visited by Kael.
They were clearly excited. Through the Lion system, they were hearing about all the many things that were happening in Leonine Heaven but they couldn’t go back to check.
The mission to act as an embassy on behalf of the Hegemony was one that was designed by Katari and mphis. Once accepted, refusal to see the mission to the end would result in terrible consequences.
Today, since the All-King had visited them, claiming that he was going to the Draconic Heaven, they were impossibly excited. They felt like their efforts were not wasted at all.
Now, they had established contact with the required dragons and although it took a lengthy process, a Heavenly Gate was opened for them.
It couldn’t be helped.
The Lion Hegemony still had so lost Heavenly Beacons from the Draconic Heaven but it was not much anymore.
Kael could force his way into Draconic Heaven if he wanted but that wouldn’t be okay politically speaking.
Besides, he didn’t know the current state of the Draconic Heaven. Now that he was here, he was sowhat glad that he had taken the lengthy process.
Seeing how the sky was a faint hue of silver, Kael imagined the brutal rouge that must have happened in this place.
"Where is Emperor Zain?" Kael asked as he put his hands behind his back and lifted his feet off the ground, hovering at a low altitude.
The two lions behind him, although wearing arrogant expressions, looked at him with reverence. When they say that Kael had switched to flying, they increased their speed.
One of them began to leave behind blazing steps and the other unfurled his wings a little and allowed the wind to push him forward.
"He had been prepared and is waiting for you in his eting chambers," The other humanoid, the Creation Dragon escorting them, spoke politely.
Although he was constantly throwing glances at them, he did not dare to be unwelcoming.
The reputation of the lions preceded them. It was well known that even if anyone had the leverage and upper hand in a eting with lions, it was best for everyone that their pride was never challenged.
It just wasn’t worth it.
Plus, he would be the one to take responsibility if the lions were displeased because of him.
No one knew if the Creation Dragons were ready to offend the lions yet, he wasn’t going to be the catalyst for them to find out.
"I see," Kael looked at the building they were entering.
It was a vast castle that was wider than it was tall, sprawling for several thousand kilotres, and was made with black bricks.
For the construction of buildings like these that could be used by cosmic factions, walls were the most useless structures.
The Apex Pyramid did not have any outer walls but it probably had a defense system. This Imperial Palace was the sa.
Kael noticed that there was a little bit of difference between the Imperial Palace of the Creation Dragons and the Imperial Palace of the Destruction Dragons.
Kael had seen the Imperial Palace of the Destruction Dragons when Ibadon drove it into Leonine Heaven with his loyal dragon guards.
That palace was more like a European castle of the old dieval era on Planet Earth.
This new palace resembled a mix of the old Forbidden City and the Shogunate Imperial Palaces.
Kael felt it may be a coincidence. It didn’t matter to him though. What Kael hoped for was that the Destruction Dragons were still around.
They may be the enemies of the Creation Dragons but to Kael, they were still very useful and he would prefer that they were around.
Kael narrowed his eyes, he decided that he needed to have a very serious conversation with Emperor Zain.
A conversation that would determine if they continued being allies or beca enemies.
Soon, Kael was escorted to the eting chamber of the Emperor.
The two lions who ca with him were asked to stay behind and Kael casually walked in with the door shutting behind him.
Inside the eting chamber were a set of fur couches arranged in a circle, seven couches to be exact.
A tall old man with long white eyebrows, wearing white robes was sitting on one of the chairs, sipping tea from his cup elegantly.
"Oh, All-King," Emperor Zain greeted as he turned to look at Kael with a calm gaze. The crystal antlers in his head reflected light from the distant window and made him look majestic.
"Emperor Zain," Kael unceremoniously walked to one of the chairs and sat down, staring at Emperor Zain and not taking his eyes off him.
"Oh, I was surprised to hear that you had co to visit . I should have known that you would send a clone," Emperor Zain said. With a glance, he could tell that this Kael was a clone and not the real All-King.
Kael shrugged his shoulders as he relaxed on the couch, "Oh well, you must have heard of my deeds recently.
I’m afraid my presence is a direct threat to all of existence and the universe would strike hard the mont I step out of my little bubble.
I have been... forced...to step down to such ans," Kael said.
He was being truthful. Now, when he had alerted the universe of his dangerous motives, was when he had to stay out within his Alphaverse.
Stepping out would an he was ready to fight off the combined power of the cosmos and Kael was not sure he was ready for that.
Not yet.
Not alone.
The clones could not be perceived by the universe, or perhaps, it could be perceived but it was seen as a significant waste of energy.
Killing one of Kael’s clones in one part of the mortal verse ant that there would be a shortage of cosmic energy in another part of the universe.
The universe was not truly infinite, nor was it eternal.
Thinking of this, Kael wore a devilish smile that caused Emperor Zain to narrow his eyes.
"Smiles like that make it hard for
to trust you. I just know that you are planning sothing that will harm everyone but you," Emperor Zain smiled.
"Oh please," Kael waved his hand, "You’ve never trusted
in the first place. You just used
to get rid of Ibadon so that you can take over the Draconic Heaven. There was no room for trust to ever develop between us."
Emperor Zain nodded, "Indeed, you are right. But why did you co here? I would have imagined that you would stay hiding for the next century at least, seeing as you lost a lot during that final battle."
Kael shrugged his shoulders, "Ti is a bitch, it won’t wait for
so I have to hasten.
If you know how I survived, then you should also know what has transpired in the past twenty years. And you should also know what must have happened for
to be able to talk to you now."
Emperor Zain nodded again. He flipped his hand and a little device appeared on it.
It was a Transmission Device, the sa one that was used by Seth.
Kael glanced at it. He rembered that Alexander told him this particular technology was painfully hidden away from the lions to prevent them from coordinating properly.
"Ah yes, I was also told that the Creation Dragons in Original Heaven were one of the many that clearly opposed my race.
I wonder why you left out such information," Kael said, chuckling slightly as he looked at the window nonchalantly.
The atmosphere of the eting chamber instantly went stiff.
Emperor Zain did not respond imdiately, he was thinking. For soone who had near instantaneously thought and was capable of parallel thinking, he was thinking for an awfully long ti.
After thinking, he ca to the shocking conclusion that talking back may not be worth it.
A conclusion that felt more like an insult than a reasonable answer.
"Why did you co, Kael?" The Emperor asked.
