Chapter 822: Chapter 822: Two Blades Of The All-King
Outside Leonine Heaven, the mortalverse.
The various factions soon began to detect that sothing was amiss.
Any creature with Fortune-related abilities could for so reason tell that sothing was already happening that they did not have control over.
They did not know if it was bad or good, all they knew was that it was already happening and there was no ti to retaliate or respond.
They had to adapt or fight back.
But why fight back? The various leaders of smaller and larger factions would consult various fortune advisors.
Unfortunately, they were told that whatever was currently happening, so may not wish to adapt to it as it was not necessarily a fate that one would look forward to.
The factions that panicked the most were those that had sohow offended the lions in the past. Most of them had forgotten and almost none of them could relate the current happenings to the lions.
After all, the only news they were hearing of the lions was that they were trying to attack the bees and it didn’t seem like it was working out for them as the bees had tight defenses and were unwilling to let their queens be attacked by the lions.
No one knew that a whole bunch of lions had escaped from Original Heaven. So didn’t even know that there was a place called Original Heaven in the first place.
World-changing affairs were happening everywhere and many mortals were going about their lives without being the wiser.
anwhile, the lions who were doing the attacking were not idle at all.
At the periphery of the Biggest Balls Galaxy, lights flashed, and killing intent stained the void excessively.
Thousands of arkships tore through the skies and atmospheres of various planets, millions of shuttles flew from one edge to the other, exchanging beams of power as they sought to destroy their enemies.
Most of the arkships that fought in this star system belonged to the vassals, especially the wolves and the hyenas.
Two unlikely creatures were fighting together under the banner of the Lion Hegemony.
Inside a particular arkship that streaked past the stars very fast and flanked by smaller arkships, the Primordials of both races were present.
Ralph, the Primordial of Hunting and an official Singularity, was in the chamber of command, looking coldly at the holographic screen with the three-dinsional image of a map above him.
Ralph was in his humanoid form, tall and imposing. His muscular arms were folded, causing his chest and biceps to bulge a little against the softer clothes he was wearing.
Falling off his shoulders was the white fur cloak with the head of a wolf on his left shoulder.
The Master of Wolfkind, the hunter of hunters.
"Why haven’t they opened up yet?" Ralph asked, his yellow eyes seed to pierce through the screen to see what was happening in real ti.
At this ti his vision overlapped with the screens of the Wolf System. The wolves who were participating in this campaign ranged from field hunters to powerful pack leaders.
Billions of wolves had co to the Biggest Balls Galaxy to fight and hunt down those bees.
Through the wolf system, Ralph could sense the frustration of the wolves as they talked in the forums about how frustrating the bees were.
In order to even think of invading properly, they needed Heavenly Beacons from Hive Heaven which were held by Queen Bees only.
Although they had managed to kill a few queens, it wasn’t enough, barely a hundred in the past twenty years.
The bees were very efficient when it ca to survival tactics, using their hive mind, they could imdiately recognise patterns and plan out the best way to avoid danger.
Now, the Queen Bees were the most important mbers of the bee society and they could not afford for anything to happen to them.
After over a hundred Queen Bees died, none had ever shown up in the mortalverse again. All of them retreated to the Hive Heaven while they sent out the vast army of bee soldiers and scouts to do the fighting for them.
This was indeed very frustrating.
Not only were the Heavenly Beacons that they had not enough, even if there were, but there was also a vast amount of bees waiting for them on the other side.
The mont they opened a heavenly gate to Hive Heaven and crossed over, they would be blasted to smithereens. They knew this because they had tried it a few tis.
The strategy they were embracing was from the lions who seed not to know how bad it was on the battlefield, or perhaps, they knew and they didn’t care.
The lions were constantly ordering their vassals to track down and demolish every outpost and planet owned by the bees.
They hoped for the bees to retaliate so that they could get a chance to take the heavenly beacons when they ca from Hive Heaven.
The idea of the lions was proper as it actually worked. Bees opened their Heavenly Gates once again and sward to the Biggest Balls Galaxy to protect their assets.
But the queens never showed up at all.
Even when they tried to storm into one heavenly gate that opened up very close to them, it didn’t turn out well as almost all the arkships that stord in were destroyed soon after.
The bees had mounted their guards, they seed ready to battle the lions to the death.
Except, the ones who truly controlled the bee society, the Queens, were not willing to fight at all.
"Can you bla them?" Shuri, who stood by the central throne and was wearing a clean military-grade combat suit, said.
"We are clearly trying to kill them. Besides, did you see that from the last heavenly beacon that opened, the aura of an immortal was present?" She asked.
Ralph nodded, frowning, "One of my fighters charged into the Gate right before it closed and I was able to see the live feed he uploaded right before he died."
"Oh," Shuri looked at Ralph’s back with surprise, he had not told her this before. This was so very valuable information.
"What did he see?" Shuri asked.
"It was a bee soldier," Ralph said with a grim expression on his face, "That immortal was just a Bee Soldier, not even a Queen,"
Hearing this, Shuri’s expression also went stiff and grim.
In the Bee Society, the castes were very clear. There were scouts, soldiers, workers, nurses, ssengers, queens, and so on, with the Queens having the highest level in the hierarchy.
No matter how powerful a bee beca, its caste would not change. That was just how it was for them.
An immortal Bee Soldier may be stronger than a tier 6 Bee Queen but it does not an he has the right to order her around. His duty was to fight and protect, irrespective of his power level.
It was a sad existence. He was a slave to the Hive mind and their way of thinking. Even if he got to the immortal level, the way of the bees was hard-coded into his genes and soul.
He could not escape it.
But this didn’t an that such a being was not very dangerous.
A Bee Soldier was not a Bee Queen. The forr would gladly sacrifice his life for the Bee Queen and the Bee Queen would not have any qualms about sacrificing as many as possible so that she could preserve her life.
"If that’s the case, why don’t we call on the immortals from the Lion Hegemony. I thought they were ready to storm in and use their might to suppress any potential immortals the bees could have?" Shuri said.
It wasn’t until today that she knew that the bees had immortals but it had already been an assumption long ago. They were the producers of the best power boosters in the whole cosmos; surely, they should be using them on themselves.
Ralph nodded, "They should, but I heard from His Majesty Ozia, that they had gone back to Leonine to check on so things.
They should be back any mont and when they do, we should be able to make so progress."
In Ralph’s eyes, this was a war that may as well take hundreds of years for the victor to be decided. He didn’t see it ending anyti soon.
Both he and Shuri were not against this though. In fact, they wanted the war to rage on more than ever as it gave them things to do.
Both of them were the blades of the All-King wherever he pointed, they were to cut down without question or hesitation.
Without conflict, how could they prove to the All-King and to themselves that they were living a life of purpose?
Suddenly, while both of them were calmly watching the holographic map and planning their strategies, a ssage interrupted them.
[Ozia: My Father is back and he brought so...help.
Pull back imdiately to avoid being counted as collateral damage.]
Ralph and Shuri looked at each other, with the sa frowns and surprised expressions on their faces.
The All-King was back? And he brought help?
Why was Ozia then telling them to retreat? Shouldn’t they be charging forth with new montum?
But they didn’t question the directive as Ozia had sent this sa ssage to everyone.
Just as Ralph was controlling the arkship to turn around, Shuri looked at the screen and her eyes bulged open.
"Ralph! Move fast!"
A red wave of demonic light washed through the Biggest Balls Galaxy at this mont, followed by the maniacal laughter of a mad beast.
