Chapter 776: Chapter 776: Beyonder

"Seth, do you know the consequences of what you are trying to do?"

Seth closed his white eyes and opened them again.

"Yes," He answered, "The worst that could happen is extermination.

I don’t know about you Ancient Defenders, but I am not afraid of perishing. I find it a bit of a relief to know that’s how it all ends.

I don’t know why anyone would hold so dearly to life when true freedom lies in death..."

Seth then peeled his eyes away from the drill-shaped machine and looked around. He knew that this silence was not them listening, they were just taking their sweet ti.

A few seconds or years were nothing to them.

"But I am sure you both can understand what I an," Seth continued, "Look at both of you.

Strong, mighty, capable of so much more.

But because of your potential, you have been sealed, chained to the edges of existence!

You are not free!

If you were, you would have killed

by now.

You tolerate

and my plans because I can offer you sothing that the Highest Will has taken away from you both.

You could kill

now, and it will be over. What is another billion years to you guys, I’m sure you like to be chained down.

Or, you could send

directly to the Highest Will for Judgnt. I wouldn’t mind.

Or...we could carry on with our plan."

Seth spoke with a mix of boldness and politeness. Just because he thought he was right didn’t an he wanted to disrespect them.

The silence got to a point where Seth started to hear a loud ringing.

"Another Singularity..." muttered the llow voice of the turtle.

"It appears so..."

Seth was confused, it didn’t seem like they were talking to him. Just when he was thinking about what he just heard...

"There are fates worse than death, Primordial Cat. If you know how your predecessor died, you should be aware.

Your power of Freedom is not as significant as you think."

Seth heard this and nodded. He was not arrogant. Not much was known about how his predecessor died but it was said that at the mont of Noel’s detonation, the forr Primordial Cat let out a scream that echoed across the corridors of the Gap and resonated with the souls of all cats.

It was a loud and dreadful scream that expressed the true dread and might of the Blessed Saviour of the Lion Race.

"Which is why we must persevere. The Highest Will knows all, is that true?

If it is then it is still worth risking.

What do you stand to lose? Your life!

What do you stand to gain? Your life!

Either way, we should persevere."

Seth’s calmness did little to hide the bit of passion that rose in his voice. So optimistic, and so nihilistic.

Such a blend.

"You have hidden well, Seth!" The voice of the tortoise shook the void as it grew distant.

The drill-shaped machine started to move again, flying farther and farther from the known mortalverse.

Where it was going and what it would encounter on the other side, none of them knew.

Jo6 or horrors beyond imagination was sothing that could be encountered, but who were they to know of such mysteries?

Seth, gladdened that the Beyonder was finally moving again, looked at it with expectations.

Although one could not see it, he knew that there was sothing ahead. The Mortalverse was not infinite, but the edges could not be seen quite clearly with the eyes of a regular person.

To anyone, including Seth, it looked like just empty darkness and an endless void.

But to the Beyonder...

*HUMMM!*

The drill-shaped machine began to shift and change. Its drill-shaped tip started spinning like a ground digger.

As soon as it spun, the Origin Essence and Freedom Essence within started mixing.

The monkeys of the old era were simply amazing and incredible. They had actually built a machine that allowed two Essences from different laws to mix together and stack their effects.

Seth had never seen anything like it.

The Beyonder spun fast with Chen still inside.

Soon, there was a crack, and a flash of multicoloured light.

The Outerverse, the sectioned fabric of reality that acted as a barrier around the known universe, cracked.

As soon as the crack ford, Seth tried to look but he was nearly blinded by what ca out.

"SEAL IT!" The Ancient Defender roared.

Seth, as mighty as he was, felt like a kite in a terrible storm. His white eyes dimd and his brain went blank.

What did he see?

Seth blinked his eyes and tried to rember what he had seen.

To his calmly acknowledged dismay, he couldn’t rember anything.

He rembered that there was a flash of multicoloured light so bright that it may have been spotted for billions of light-years.

Seth wouldn’t call that thing light though.

It might have been radiant and almost blinded his soul, but it wasn’t light.

The radiance of that thing travelled billions of light-years in an instant, light could not move that fast.

The fastest immortal currently could not move that fast.

That was like crossing one-eighth of the Known Universe in a single second.

Seth knew this because he felt the radiance in his skin and briefly calculated the impact force of the ’thing.’

It was weightless, if not, Seth would have been flung away with it.

Although Seth could not rember what he saw, he knew three things right now.

Sothing had passed through the protective fabric and had invaded their universe.

Second, the nature of that thing was hard to describe as Seth couldn’t even rember what he saw. All he could rember was the feeling of it passing through his body and dashing deeper into the universe.

Third, Chen and the Beyonder ship had successfully left the Outerverse.

All was not as he predicted. He had not expected sothing to actually pass through.

But since no harm ca to anyone, Seth did not talk about it.

There was nothing to panic about...for now.

Seth noted the thing that had radiated its way into the universe but didn’t think too much.

It wasn’t his problem. He would even appreciate it if there was a bit more trouble here and there starting now. He would benefit a lot from fishing in troubled waters.

"Seth!" said the Primordial Tortoise in a warning tone. Just now, his true form had flashed into existence after that strange radiance.

It was massive.

That was the only description Seth would have for him.

"Yes, ancient one," Seth answered with respect l, feeling better that he had made so progress in his private project.

"What do you want that tiger to bring back? Assuming that it will survive."

The Undying One was speaking of Chen.

"Power to do what needs to be done. That’s what he will bring back," Seth turned around and looked at the vast universe, his ho.

So beautiful.

So deadly.
