Chapter 774: Chapter 774: The Outerverse

"We’re here," Seth said as he stood up from his chair and walked for the holographic screen inside the command chamber.

His voice was powerful as it echoed across all the walls of the vessel. There was no reply, no one was here with him.

The vehicle he was in was almost empty, except for him and his other companion.

Seth was wearing a simple leather jacket with a white inner shirt and black trousers, a cleaner look that seed more modern than what he had co to the mortalverse with.

His face was still babyish and his eyes still glowed white. In the past two years, he had barely changed.

After rising from his chair, Seth walked. He took a simple step forward, causing space and ti to fracture and twist around him.

By the ti he took his second step, he was no longer in the command chamber; he was now in a separate chamber within the arkship he was staying in.

This chamber world was deathly quiet. The ground here was a mix of dirt, gravel, and tal scraps, it seed this place was once a factory or dock as that would explain the tal scraps on the ground.

Seth’s boots crunched loudly on the little pieces of gravel and tal with every step that he took.

He had co here for a reason.

All the chamber worlds of this arkship had been stripped bare and replaced with specific filler machines that were all linked to the chamber world Seth was currently in.

Seth looked ahead, his eyes glowing with eyes setting on the machine placed at the center of this chamber world.

Existing in front of him was a machine unlike any other. It was large, and that was the easiest description anyone would have of it.

So large that it could cover an entire gacity in the human world.

It was shaped like a cone, a drill of so sort, looking like it was designed to pierce through sothing...

Seth arrived in front of the gigantic drill-shaped machine. His glowing eyes pierced through the tal sheets and dense walls to look at the center.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

At the center of the machine where there were multiple contraptions coming together to form the dense engine room, a humanoid entity sat.

This humanoid entity was Chen.

Chen was strapped to his chair with constraints that looked like they would snap if moved too much.

They appeared to be for decoration rather than practicality.

Inside the contraption, Chen took a deep breath. The space inside was dark and cold, no light could pierce through. He also avoided circulating his power within his body, just as Chen had told him to.

Thinking back to everything Chen had warned him about, Chen found himself having a determination that rivaled heresy.

He didn’t understand where this determination ca from, all he knew was that the ambition within him would not let him let go of this chance.

If he had been led along this path by so mysterious force, then Chen desperately wanted that mysterious force not to show itself.

He wanted this.

After two years of contemplation and preparation, he was finally here and he was ready to set off.

"I’m ready," he said telepathically.

Outside the drill-shaped machine, Seth nodded.

What they were about to do was very dangerous. It wasn’t like a planet-destroying danger or a galaxy-ending danger.

No, what they were doing was so dangerous that it could attract the attention of the Highest Will.

Seth had already thought of this happening and was prepared just in case.

Not like he could force the Highest Will to reason with him but he knew a few loopholes in the e rule book that he could exploit.

Outside the machine, Seth’s glowing eyes surged with mysterious light, he had led Chen to this point, now was the ti to see the result.

This was an activity known only to him and Chen, not even his father knew of this.

Seth had his own designs for himself that went beyond the plans of his father.

With a calm expression, Seth raised his palm and pressed it on the cold dark grey tal surface.

His cat ears twitched and his fluffy white-black cat tail swung ever so slightly.

A wave of Freedom Essence rose from Seth’s standing form. The whole arkship erupted with a loud tallic groan, sounding like an excited beast.

The arkship had previously been emptied out and its chamber worlds were replaced with filler machines and generator transmitters that led to this very chamber world.

All the contraptions in all three hundred and thirty-two chamber worlds began firing, reacting strongly with the ntal command from Seth.

The energy source for most technological marvels of the current era, Origin Essence, flowed from every fuel compartnt inside the arkship and rushed to the drill-shaped machine in front of Seth.

The Origin Essence reacted strongly with Seth’s Freedom Essence, forming a new mixture that Seth had been experinting with.

Ever since Seth had been able to pass through the barrier of the Original Heaven without breaking the Rules, his ambitions had been high.

He always wondered how far he could go and what he could get from it.

He had seen how every creature was operating under the sa rules from the very mont they were born.

His eyes did not glow white for nothing, they were the result of his vision being augnted by Freedom Essence. He could see every string of law, obligation, rules, and restrictions everywhere.

The only true freedom that existed was freedom from the universe. The lack of original free will fascinated Seth, in fact, he preferred things this way.

Seth had always maintained the calmness of soone who knew what he was doing. That was because he DID know what he was doing.

He was just like Kael in the sense that they were both aware that they were going to be breaking a lot of rules eventually. But Seth knew what he was doing, he knew how to do it, and unlike Kael, he knew a little bit about the consequences of what he would do.

Unfortunately, he needed to set many things in place before he could truly be free from everything.

He needed to kill and plan the demise of many creatures, including the lions.

Alas, Freedom was just a part of what Seth truly wanted. It was just sothing to check off on his clipboard.

His plans were dangerous, so dangerous that he refused to tell anyone, including his father. Only he knew the full picture.

Settling his thoughts, Seth took in a deep breath and pushed as much Freedom Essence into the machine as much as he could, causing the drill-shaped machine to roar out loud.

As soon as he took his palm off the cold tal surface, the drill-shaped machine began to tremble.

The chamber world shook, the ground trembled and pieces of gravel vibrated to dust.

Seth looked up to see that the artificial sky of this chamber world was sliding away.

Like a blanket turned over by the gods, the artificial sky slid on its tal coils and gears, rolling into the side of the arkship.

The dark void of the universe was revealed.

The stars visible could be counted on one hand, this place was nearly absent of light. The little white dots that could be seen were not stars, but very distant galaxies.

Where was this?

The drill-shaped machine rose from the ground, propelled by the advanced propellers.

As the drill-shaped machine rose to the sky, it beca a little apparent what it truly was.

It bore a certain design that was very familiar to those who had visited the ancient ruins of the monkeys.

This machine was not a product of this era.

If mphis were here, she would be able to point out the design similarities between her ti machine shuttle and this drill-shaped machine.

But this wasn’t a ti machine, it was sothing else, sothing greater.

This was a machine that had accelerated the fall of the great Monkey Civilization.

With propellers that carried it off, the drill-shaped machine shot out of the arkship.

Seth’s feet rose from the ground and he flew out of the open sky.

He landed on top of the vast arkship, keeping his eyes on the drill-shaped machine as it continued rising.

In this place that was nearly absent of all light and life, the arkship stood out very well.

The gravity here was also nearly nonexistent so there was also little to be said about direction. No left or right, no up or down.

"Hmm, they ca..." Seth muttered, feeling the change and disturbance around him.

The once calm void was starting to boil up. The drill-shaped machine continued going, getting farther and farther from the mortalverse and closer to the edge...

"What brings you to the outer verse, Primordial Cat!"

Seth turned around just as that deep and cosmically unsettling voice descended.

Seth, understanding the kind of being he was now in the presence of, bowed and replied.

"Primordial Turtle, Great Protector, greetings!"
