Chapter 714: Chapter 714: Fungi
The planet was alive?
How?
Kael’s fifth clone observed calmly. He had a heavy aura that was just too impressive to be compared to an ordinary mortal.
No tier 7 would be able to compare, not unless they also had so kind of cheat ability.
And to think that all the power that this clone had was just a fraction of what the true body could do.
Kael’s power level was way beyond tier 7 now. Unfortunately, he wasn’t an immortal.
"What are you doing?"
A whisper.
Very faint and very soft.
It scratched the backs of the minds of all five clones.
While the fifth clone stayed above to maintain his god’s eye view, the remaining four were seriously pumling the life out of Chez down below.
*BOOM!
BAM!
CRASH!*
Chez’s body crashed into the ground, digging in a deep tunnel that was imdiately closed.
"Fucking go to sleep..." One of Kael’s clones muttered with an annoyed expression.
They had been holding back as much as possible not to kill Chez even though they could. That was not the goal. There was a goal to be achieved, and there were benefits in keeping Chez alive.
Unfortunately, making a tier 7 being like Chez unconscious was easier said than done, even for Kael.
It was far easier to just kill him than to make Chez unconscious.
He aid his fist in front of him and dropped down, shooting through the earth and landing a powerful punch at Chez’s chest.
At the sa ti, a wave of spirit energy augnted by different laws swept forth to cover a wide area before concentrating on Chez.
The inner earth exploded and all the rocks and plants were blasted away.
They had rely been on the planet for less than a minute, but they had already destroyed a land mass equal to a large human nation.
Chez had to be comnded. He had a very strong mind. Even as the punches rained on his head and the spirit shocks invaded his mind, he remained conscious.
The surge of adrenaline and flight or fight or flight instincts did not help either.
He could sense that the five clones were seriously holding back from using their full strength, if not, they would kill him.
"What are you doing?..." That whisper.
Amidst the turbulence of being punched around, Chez heard it. That was when a mory resurfaced in his mind.
He rembered this place.
He rembered this planet.
Wasn’t this...
"All-King, no, I must leave here!" Chez shouted.
Waves of darkness surged out of his body as he turned into a large black cat. The darkness solidified around him to form different dark blades and shields.
The dark constructs whipped out with ferocity, intending to hurt or push the clones away.
As expected, these dark constructs could not do much.
They were shattered before they got close to the clones by an invisible force and those that managed to touch them still didn’t do anything.
Their defenses were absolutely impenetrable; their skin was impenetrable. Anything below the immortal tier had zero hope of hurting them without external assistance.
The four clones that were on Chez’s matter ignored the whisper and chased after Chez.
One of the clones caught Chez by his tail and pulled back ruthlessly.
*BAM!*
Chez was swung toward the side of a jagged rocky side. His head was dragged through the course of the earth and the rare minerals.
Another clone flew over and got a hold of Chez’s head.
As if Chez knew what they were about to do, he struggled, summoning more of his power to fight against them.
This was bullying.
One clone held his head, the other held his tail.
The one holding his tail pulled back viciously.
"AAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Dark blood splattered as the tail was ripped off. This action would definitely cause so significant damage to his spine.
But the clones were not done.
Chez’s true form was a cat but he was as large as an average human male. The clone holding his head turned him around fast and wrapped one of his muscular arms around Chez’s neck.
Chez was still in agony from having his tail ripped away as he noticed that there was now an arm choking him. He saw the other clone holding his tail with a curious look.
They probably didn’t expect the tail to co off so cleanly and for Chez to still be awake.
Kael’s clones wondered what type of ntal training the House of Luthor had for Chez’s mind to be this strong.
"Humph!"
The clone snorted and flicked his wrist, throwing the tail away.
So what if he had a formidable mind? All minds must now go to the will of the All-King.
*BAM!*
The clone flashed forward,. practically teleporting, and struck Chez on the chest.
That was just the start of a flurry of strikes that t their mark.
One clone held him from behind while the other drowned Chez in kicks and punches.
Left fist, right fist, left knee, right knee. Each one augnted by a heavy dose of spirit energy.
A thousand a second. The fists and feet of the clone burned up and created sparks that evolved into full-force thunderstorms.
And then, he stopped.
The other clone let go and Chez’s body dropped down.
He was finally unconscious after sustaining an unknown number of shattered bones and ruptured organs.
One clone waved his hand. So vines peeled off the world and caught the fallen dark cat, wrapping it in a bondage of vines.
Only after this did the clones shift their attention to the other source of concern.
"What have you done?..." The whisper ca again.
With one clone holding on to Chez, they all flew up to the sky to join the fifth clone that had been standing guard all this ti.
With a cold expression, they all scanned the planet, searching for signs of resistance and a reason to crush it to dust.
"Show yourself," Kael’s fifth clone announced. His deep and majestic voice spread far and wide.
They folded their arms and took dominant stances in the air.
"Show myself? Who do you think you are, worm?" The whisper ca once again, this ti louder and firr in personality.
The five Kaels raised their eyebrows, their golden eyes flashing with impatience.
One of them hovered forward and stretched out his hand.
Gradually, multiple layers of golden magic runes began to form in front of his open palm, spreading to cover the sky and surmount the heavens.
Soon, the sky of this world was covered by a fine blanket of magic runes and magic diagrams.
Contained within this very complex magic expression was the power to crush this planet into a ball the size of a football field.
"I will not ask a second ti, SHOW YOURSELF!" The Kael’s warned.
What did this world think it was?
Did it understand that it was in the presence of the All-King?
Didn’t?
Then what was the point of its continued existence?
There was silence, then a deep rumble.
Vines and vegetation burst out of the ground, clearing the path for sothing to show itself to the world.
The noses of all the Kael’s twitched. They perceived sothing.
Danger.
"Leave here," The whisper ca into their minds.
Down below, they finally saw a glimpse of what was happening with this world and also got the chance to feel the depth of its power.
A mushroom.
A red cap with white dots and a stubby white stem appeared before their eyes, fixed to the deep parts of the earth’s crust.
It reminded Kael of that red-capped mushroom that they had monopolized back on Eridoria when it was still around.
That mushroom had so many benefits and it could allow them to briefly elevate their power. Kael had used it to beat Darius, he rembered the early days.
This mushroom was different though.
With multi-dinsional sight obtained from the Primordial Eagle of Vision, Kael did a more thorough scan.
This scan was invasive and aggressive, instantly obliterating everything that tried to block his view.
But there was a limit.
Kael only managed to scratch the surface with the expression of his clones.
But he also understood sothing.
Sothing that had been talked about very briefly in the lost files of the monkey race.
"Fungi..." All the Kaels said at the sa ti.
"I said...leave..." It no longer ca as a whisper, but as a legitimate threat to attack them.
Kael paused, not because he was afraid, but because he was reasonable.
This world was emitting the power level of a mid-tier immortal, the sa as Seth, and very much stronger than all the clones put together.
He had done a comprehensive threat assessnt and found that this fungi-infested world was definitely a threat.
However, it was a threat he would avoid...for now.
That was because this fungus was related to a race affiliated with the Law of Origin.
As stated in the monkey files, the fungi-infested world did not attack, it wouldn’t, not unless there was a serious legitimate threat.
The fungi were also the reason why this world was an Origin Planet.
All of a sudden, many mysteries were laid bare for Kael to understand.
