Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Mysterious Transmissions, Ma’abu’s Realization

Warp speed was a fascinating thing. How it was invented was sothing that Kael was very eager to learn.

Unfortunately, he had not had the chance to just sit down and soak in knowledge from any sources in the past year.

Kael appreciated the warp engine of his arkship. The arkship wasn’t built for speed modified for explosive power like Exalon’s and Ma’abu’s arkships.

But it had gotten him to his destination either way.

After changing course and flying in the direction from which the wolves had detected that pulse from, Kael and his subjects could only wait.

They flew through the dark empty void. The space in between galaxies was very lonely. The only source of light they had was the arkship itself.

Conservation of Origin Essence was a priority. All that high-speed flying did not co without a cost. Thankfully, the arkship’s reserves had been filled before leaving Eridoria.

Finally, after two months, they reached their intended galaxy.

Using the interstellar map provided by Chloe’s grandfather and installed in the arkships’ system, this galaxy was identified as the Empyrean Dust Galaxy.

Kael had thought that the map would need an update every now and then because he was using the logic of his past life.

Back on earth, it was already established by scientists that the universe was apparently ’expanding’ and a lot of objects like stars, black holes, and galaxies, may be moving through the void very fast.

In that reality, an interstellar map would have to be updated every now and then.

But it wasn’t so here.

The keyword used in Kael’s past life was ’Observable Universe’.

There was a difference between the Known Universe and the Observable Universe.

According to Chloe’s grandfather and so other Lion Kings that Kael had inquired from, galaxies did not just move without a cause.

Trillions of galaxies existed and it wasn’t strange for isolated events like space expansion to occur.

Then again, the universe was just so vast that no one could for sure. Perhaps, both the scientists of Kael’s past life and the astronomy experts of this one were right.

Either way, Kael couldn’t be too bothered. His interstellar map wouldn’t need to be updated as it only recorded an isolated Super Cluster of galaxies close to the now extinct Void Spill Galaxy.

The only map they would ever need to update would be star maps which were specific to galaxies where stars actually moved around a lot.

This galaxy that they had arrived in, the Empyrean Dust Galaxy didn’t have many records about it on the map.

This was good as it ant very few lion kings had ever bothered enough with this galaxy to explore and record details.

This lowered the chances of anyone coming to this place to look for Kael specifically. It also ant there was a lower chance of any lion or dragon from heaven here.

Now that Kael’s arkship was here, all that was left was to find the supposed Primordial Wolf.

This was a galaxy, even though the arkship could cross its scale without issue, searching for one specific creature here was worse than finding a sand grain in an ocean.

N’bayé had ideas and Chloe had limited experience, neither of which was of imdiate use as they didn’t even know what they were looking for.

Kael could only resort to the sa crude thod that the Anti-Primordial Coalition had used to find him.

He would use warp signals to search.

Since he didn’t have thousands of arkships assisting him in this search, he was bound to find it extrely frustrating too.

What if the Primordial Wolf had a stealth arkship like him? Wouldn’t it be impossible to find him then? The possibility of such a thing was low but it wasn’t zero.

Determined to find this Primordial Wolf, Kael decided that he would wait as long as possible.

They would search for two things, a planet or Origin World to refill their Origin Essence reserves and the Primordial Wolf.

As long as they didn’t receive any unexpected enemies, the arkship could sustain them for a long ti.

Months passed by with the arkship sending out warp signals in controlled amounts. The war signals were strong enough to detect certain unnatural disturbances but not strong enough to cover half of the galaxy.

This was to avoid alerting anyone who was searching for Kael, if there was any passing by.

After one year and a month, according to Standard Heaven Ti calculations, Kael’s arkship finally detected sothing.

It was a ssage, a weird ssage. Not exactly a ssage, it was a transmission of so sort.

The contents of the transmission were barely audible and from the readings of the frequency, it seed to be electromagnetic waves.

This caused Kael to be deeply interested. Kael had so guesses but didn’t want to believe it, it would be too coincidental.

Scientists used to send out transmissions into the empty void, hoping that so alien would receive it, better still, they hoped.

It was humanity’s attempt to confirm whether they were alone in the universe or not.

Could it be?

Kael wasn’t sure.

He decided not to reply to the incomprehensible transmissions for a couple of reasons. First, he didn’t understand the contents of the ssages. Second, he wasn’t sure if this was one of those ssages sent out into the void by scientists or if it was just a warp signal interfering with sothing else.

Thirdly, he wanted to be stealthy, it would be better if no one knew of his presence.

Having decided where they wanted to go, the arkship spent a day cruising over to the star system the transmissions were coming from.

anwhile, Chloe briefed Kael on invasion strategies in case it was needed.

And while Kael and his subordinates were busy with their own thing, the lion civilization had been thrust into a state of confusion.

//////

All the Lion Kings that survived Ibadon’s attack have long since returned to heaven and spread the news.

For a mont, the lions were confused and didn’t know what to do.

Why would Ibadon act now? Was it because of the Primordial Lion?

And if so, wouldn’t it an that the Primordial Lion was considered a big enough threat for Ibadon to act personally?

This painted the Anti-Primordial Coalition in a very bad light obviously.

It was starting to look like the Anti-Primordials were actually in cahoots with the dragons which wasn’t so. But that was what it looked like.

Suspicions were flying everywhere and the Lion System was seeing more and more Lion Kings joining.

Ma’abu and his colleagues however were not so well. They had suffered the most loss because of Ibadon.

The unfortunate events with the dragon-lion hybrid didn’t discourage Ma’abu however.

Instead, it strengthened his determination and gave him more reasons why he should make it his duty to get rid of the Primordial Lion.

All this wouldn’t even be happening if not for Derylia, he reasoned. And now, his focus has shifted.

Ma’abu had co to the realization that the Primordial Lion wasn’t just the problem, all Primordials were.

The Primordial Lion, the Primordial Dragon, the Primordial Bee, all of them. It beca clear to Ma’abu what he must do.

And so, it ca to pass that the Anti-Primordial Coalition began to seek allies from other races...

If the lions were too blind to see the problem, he would just find others who thought like him.

/////

Planet Kareem.

One hour before afternoon.

A green taxi cab cruised through the dirty street, moving at a moderate pace despite not having any cars blocking its view.

The green taxi passed many buildings, so apartnt complexes, and other office buildings. The card didn’t stop until it had reached the end of the street.

The spot where the street ended also served as an intersection between two other streets, creating a T-junction.

Among the buildings here, one of them was a club building, wide and taller than most duplexes.

The green taxi stopped on the opposite side of the club. The back door opened and a tall, handso grey grey-haired man walked out.

The morning sun shone in his face, and his piercing yellow eyes subtly scanned his environnt.

After confirming there was nothing suspicious, he took his backpack from the back seat, closed the door, and walked to the driver’s seat.

The young man and the driver exchanged so words before the young man reached into his pocket and pulled out two blue paper money bills.

The blue money bills had so red stains on them.

The driver collected the money which was way more than what he asked for. Seeing the red stain, he understood why the young man gave him extra.

No questions asked.

Besides, by the end of the day, that blood stains would turn black and could be washed off. Besides, there were places in the city that didn’t mind accepting these bloodstained bills.

With no other business left with the driver, the young man turned away to face the club.

The green taxi zood away as the man crossed the street.

This place was sowhat lonely with a few pedestrians walking by.

The young man ignored all and approached the entrance of the club. Up above, a sign giving off neon lights read [Holy Sin Club].

As soon as the young man walked past, a shrill feminine voice echoed within.

"Ralph! Another hunt done well..."
