Chapter 332: Chapter 332: We Know Darius

Katari pressed her large paws on the neck and side of the tiger, resting all her weight on its body and almost crushing it.

This tiger, a Veggie Tiger, growled ferociously, trying his best to show so atom of intimidation.

Katari was unmoved, she inched her bare fangs closer and closer to the tiger’s face, causing him to panic.

Kael walked up to them calmly while his spirit senses were stretched to the max. He couldn’t sense any other tiger in the surroundings but he didn’t drop his guard yet.

Tigers tended to travel solo so it was not abnormal to see a tiger on its own out in the wild.

However, that was the common sense of anyone from planet Earth. The tigers here also lived solo if Kael was to go by his observation of Darius’s life from Isaiah.

But this was the peach valley, the place where the arkship was supposed to be located as well as the place where a lot of tigers were gathered.

It wouldn’t be strange if Kael saw another tiger pop out at this mont.

Looking at the green tiger with deer-like horns, Kael realized that he was a tier 3 tiger, around the sa power level as a tier 3 lion.

As Kael approached them, Katari eased the pressure on her paw, removing it from the tiger’s neck and allowing him to breathe.

The tiger, unfortunately, did not understand the situation he was in and roared out loud while slashing out with his claws at Katari.

*BAM!*

A massive paw coated with spatial distortions landed on the right side of his face. To him, it felt as if Katari wanted to slap his head off his body. He even heard so cracks as his bones rattled.

His whole head went numb and he montarily lost the desire to fight back. By the ti he regained his right senses, Kael was standing close to him and Katari’s mouth was just inches away from biting his head off.

The tiger was really scared of Katari because of the shocking level of killing intent he could feel in her eyes and oozing from her body.

He struggled to maintain his fighting will and combat intent but it wasn’t working. Katari’s killing intent was so thick that he could almost sense it.

"Be calm, Katari," Kael said at this ti, causing Katari to raise her head back up and ease the pressure on the veggie tiger.

The only reason she had not killed this tiger right now was because of her common sense that she applied. She thought that Kael would probably be interested in this tiger while he was alive rather than dead.

She thought right.

Kael’s body transford, covered by a dim golden light. Once the faint light faded, he stood tall in front of the two felines in his human form.

"Hello there," Kael started as he put his muscular arms behind his back and held a firm gaze to the tiger’s deep green eyes.

"My na is Kael, king of the..." Kael realized that his kingdom didn’t have a na yet, "I’m here to visit this wonderful land and explore its terrain.

Forgive my consort, she rely sees you as a threat and treats you like one. You should understand..." Kael smiled.

Even though he said this, he did not direct Katari to release the tiger.

The tiger was silent, possibly because he did not know what to say or because he didn’t want to talk.

Kael shook his head in mockery, what was going on in this tiger’s head, he wondered.

Then, Kael opened his mouth to speak, "Do not try to play smart Tiger, I know who you are and where you co from."

The tiger’s eyes revealed his shock as he was able to instantly recognize that language. That was the language he had

been speaking ever since he was a cub.

"Who taught you our language?" The tiger asked with a little bit of shock, he too spoke the unique language with his mouth. It wasn’t that it was impossible for anyone to learn this language, it was just that he assud that another tiger had been willing to teach Kael.

’Your language?’ Kael mused to himself, thinking that this tiger was either extrely bold and gutsy or just very ignorant about the truth behind the language.

"A tiger nad Darius," Kael decided to play along, "Darius taught

the language,"

"Darius?" The tiger asked, revealing a look of elation on his face. He seed to rember Darius.

"Darius is still out there?" The tiger asked.

"You know Darius?" Kael returned with his own question while he signaled for Katari to let go of the tiger.

Katari sighed, sowhat sad. She had never killed a tiger before...

She removed her paw from the tiger’s neck and retracted her killing intent, stepping back and giving the creature breathing space.

The tiger hurriedly stood up and rushed back. However, he didn’t go far before stopping and looking at Kael.

He wasn’t trying to run away, he just wanted to keep a safe distance between himself and these two strangers.

Kael still had his hands behind his back and wore a calm expression, even if the tiger wanted to run away, he couldn’t. Kael had already erected a spatial barrier around their surroundings.

"Yes, I know Darius," The tiger said, "He left us so years back,"

"Oh, he must be very important to you guys since you rember him," Kael said with curiosity.

"No, not really, he’s just known for being one of the youngest to leave us. We all thought that he would be in danger.

But since he is still alive, that’s evidence that the world isn’t as dangerous as those big guys think," The green tiger said.

’Big guys?’ Kael picked up on a phrase but didn’t dwell on it.

"Oh, in that case, we should be friends. Darius treated

as one and it would be bad if I treated you otherwise.

Sorry for earlier," Kael said.

The tiger looked at Kael, skeptical. Kael’s sudden kind and gentle words stunned the tiger. Even in this place, he wasn’t used to such kindness.

"I’ve already introduced myself, Kael, and this is Katari. What about you, what’s your na?" Kael asked.

"Oliver," The tiger responded with a narrowed gaze, he still didn’t trust these two. Sothing about them just seed extrely off, he didn’t know how to explain but his gut was telling him not to trust them.

Kael saw the lack of trust and doubt that Oliver failed to hide, he didn’t react to its blatant display. It was normal for this tiger not to be willing to trust him on the first eting.

"Oliver," Kael smiled, "You remind

of one of my consorts, Olivia."

Even if Oliver did not trust them, he had no way of escaping or beating them. All he had to do was try to run for him to realize that his freedom from now on was questionable.

But he didn’t run.

Katari shifted, changing into her humanoid form. She donned her light blue gown and her bare feet embraced the wetness of the soil.

Seeing both of them in their humanoid forms, Oliver also changed.

He transford.

Before Kael and Katari stood a naked humanoid, tall and muscular. He wasn’t as buff as a War Lion but his muscles looked well-trained and useful compared to other ordinary lions.

With a glance, Kael could see that this was a well-trained entity. The way he stood there, the way his chin was positioned, the way his arms seed stiff and restless at the sa ti, those were signs of muscle mory trying to override his calm deanor.

This tiger knew how to fight.

His eyes were a deep green, enhanced by his gentle expression that all creatures of his power-type tended to have, he looked quite handso for a humanoid.

His brown hair had so green parts. His fair skin had very faint tiger stripes that beca more visible under the sun. Behind him, a green tail with black stripes swished from left to right.

"So, Oliver," Kael walked forward and Katari followed him. They passed by Oliver as he instinctively turned to follow them.

"...Why were you spying on us? Did we do sothing or were we perhaps trespassing?" Kael asked.

"Actually, you were. Even though you said you are visiting and just exploring, my mind doesn’t necessarily appreciate your presence and would react very badly once they discover you," Oliver said with a frown.

The tiger society was very loose and had almost non-existent family values. But they could still agree on things because of ’that thing’.

They didn’t like other creatures like Kael entering their territories.

"Oh, but what if I explicitly ca to see you guys?" Kael asked with a funny expression that wasn’t really funny if one knew his intentions.

"Why do you want to see us?" Oliver asked, allowing his curiosity to betray him.

"Have there been other visitors before ?" Kael asked, "Perhaps, other strange or familiar things in the vicinity,"

Hearing this, Oliver’s eyes narrowed and his walking pattern beca a bit stiffer. To an outside observer, it looked like he was just slower, but to Kael, it looked like Oliver was preparing himself for an explosive movent.

"Yes, we’ve had visitors not long ago," Oliver replied.
