Chapter 315: Get Away From Her!

Samantha tried to move her feet, but she was inexplicably held down by the force Marius had created. The only thing she could do was blink and make multiple expressions on her face, whilst he found solace in her helplessness, enjoying how she gave up after trying for the past few minutes. He found it wiser that she had stopped, because if she didn’t, her energy would be drained from daring to overpower the constraints of his powers.

A wise step that eventually ruined his mont.

"....!!"

A shaky gasp tore from Samantha’s lips when her knees moved on their own, automatically sending her to the cold ground. Her mind was still trying to process the image of Alain in a cage, wondering if what he had shown her was true. If it was... but how can that be? How did he manage to get hold of Alain, how did Alain end up there? What was happening?

"It’s quite painful when you don’t recall your owner." He crouched to her level, instilling fear in her heart once more. Samantha’s gaze t his obsidian-black eyes, and they seed to suck her in like a nightmarish tide. She could not move, neither could she speak, and she closed her eyes with disgust when he lifted a hand to touch her dust-covered cheeks.

He caressed her cheek very lightly, like the soft touch of a petal being rubbed on her face, and then whispered.

"We are going to be together, and we’ll be inseparable.. are you listening?" He forcefully made her stare into his eyes by grabbing her jaw. "Your soul was trapped in the Orb, and there was nothing that could be done to bring you back. I kept the Orb with , I was told there was no way to free an entrapped soul from an Orb but I kept you with , not for its powers, but for your soul. A battle was lost, and you ended up being a possession for the vampires of the North. They brought you back, and you married the son of my enemy when I’m still alive?... I’m only sparing you for this betrayal cause you have no recollection of your past life."

He released her jaw from his tight grip, whilst Samantha let out a small laugh after listening to the nonsense he just spewed. Of course, Marius wasn’t expecting her to let out a laugh that hinted at his mockery, and she seethed.

"You... don’t want

at all, do you? You only want my soul, right?" Samantha stretched her mouth as they still felt slightly sore from Marius’s powerful grip. "You want to control , you want to own

and you want

to follow your orders like soone who has no destination and then plead to you for your rcy. I have no idea the type of woman I was in my previous life, but whenever I look at you, resentnt and fear are two things I feel at once, and I know they do not co from . She must have wished she stayed in that Orb than be alive with soone like you....!!!! AHHH!!"

An agonizing scream suddenly left her lips when a sudden excruciating headache seized her, as if claws of every kind were digging into her mind. The pain intensified with each passing mont, so did her screams as she clutched her head with both hands– it was a relentless assault to her sanity. It felt as if sothing dark and insidious was attempting to wedge its way into the core of her being, but she resisted, not minding the amount of pain it brought her.

"You will listen to ," she heard Marius speak in a calm tone, as if he wasn’t the one responsible for her current pain. "Utter such words to , and there’s a high chance I could kill you myself. Do not play gas with , are we clear?"

The agony Samantha felt was indescribable– a throbbing sensation that reverberated through every fiber of her being. She clenched her teeth to suppress her cries, but what failed her were the tears that escaped her eyes. Due to her resistance from Marius’s influence, she could feel sothing warm leave her nostril, and when it dropped to the ground before her, her pupils dilated at the sight of her own blood.

"I hate that I have to do this," he continued, "but as you said, you are not the sa person I knew before. I don’t know where she went, but I won’t be hesitant to draw her out, even if I have to inflict pain on you to do so. You can make this easy for yourself and stop resisting my attempts, else, I will not be responsible for what happens to you." He approached Samantha, each step increasing the pain that she could almost hear her eardrums ringing, as if they’d burst.

There was nothing she could do, her beast plant cannot afford to help her at tis like this. Samantha squeezed her eyes shut as she battled the pain to maintain her clarity, recognizing that the Demon was attempting to take claim of her mind, but for how long before she gives up?? She has experienced all kinds of pain but none of it has matched up to what she was presently going through! It was affecting her brain, and she was sure that had to be the reason behind her bleeding from the nostril.

Marius grabbed a handful of her hair and tilted her head up so she’d look at him. Her glazed eyes signaled soone who was at the brink of losing consciousness, her energy gone. Samantha could see the man’s face through the blur of her emotions, and the siren ringing in her head did not stop. When she was about to give in completely, as the pain had beco too much for her body to tolerate, the swift appearance of a spike-filled chain curling around Marius’s arms brought her back to slight consciousness, and with a pull, his arm was ripped from his elbow joint, whilst it freed Samantha’s hair from his clutches.

The throbbing pain finally ceased, and Samantha’s body fell limp on the ground. She could hear a voice at the entrance growl with pure fury at Marius.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!!" And with a speed that Marius was too distracted to notice on ti, a swift punch landed squarely on his chest, whilst it sent him flying ters away and crashing his back into the hard wall. The crash had caused a violent impact, and the bricks imdiately fell on Marius, burying him underneath.
