Chapter 263: Blood Ritual freewe??novel~c??m

—-

In an old fortress several miles away from every kingdom known, Carla stood hidden in a shadowy chamber, a sinister gleam displaying in her hazel eyes as she ca to a daring decision. Getting across the borders of GreenHollow had been challenging for her and her minions, because no matter how they tried, or what tactics she used, they always found her people.

In order to beco more powerful than her enemies, and to avoid the wrath of their fire, she must aim to push her magic to new depths, whilst she sat before her table, emanating an aura that described the length of the malevolent deed she was about to partake in.

She had ntally prepared herself for this, and most of all, she had Marius’s unconditional support, so there was no going back once she began.

"You can do this." She emboldened herself.

Before her, the ancient spellbook lay open, its pages filled with dark incantations and maleficent symbols that glowed with an otherworldly light. Concurrently, she had no qualms about the consequences of her actions; the power she sought was worth any price. Once she gains those powers, everyone who ever looked down on her will be forced to bow at her feet and plead for rcy, she will make each and everyone who abandoned her co begging for their pathetic lives.

The re thought of this was already starting to get Carla excited, but she knew she needed to be fully focused in order to make this work.

"Where is it?"

Taking a deep breath to regain her bearing, she clutched a goblet filled with noxious concoction, its ingredients drawn from the most forbidden realm, and all these wouldn’t have been possible if Marius never offered a helping hand. He has been more than helpful to her plans concerning world domination, and things were slowly starting to co into place.

"The next blood moon is happening in a few days." Noted Carla, whose cruel lips curled as she gazed at the spellbook on her table. With a voice dripping with wickedness, she began to chant the incantations written. The room seed to grow colder as her ominous incantation echoed through the chamber, and her Auburn-brown hair began to writhe with an unholy energy.

Raising the goblet high, its black content swirled ominously, like ink. With deliberate intent, she tilted the goblet, letting a few drops fall into the spellbook’s pages. To her expectations, the mixture sizzled and smoked as it touched the parchnt, a ghastly sign of the unholy fusion she was attempting.

The dark symbols within the spellbook began to twist and contort, taking on a more sinister appearance. The air grew heavy with a malevolent aura, and an eerie darkness enveloped the room. Carla could feel a surge of power building, but she knew she had not yet crossed the threshold that would fulfill her desires into becoming the strongest witch on the planet.

This was rely a test, a precursor to a more sinister act. The concoction had reacted, and the spellbook had absorbed the dark energy as she predicted. All that was left was to ensure that her plans did not go the other way round.

"Ti to test it out on the blood sacrifice." She murmured and rose from her seat.

Exiting the chamber, she made her way towards the secret dungeon that was located at the most secluded place in her fortress. Stopping before a particular wall, Carla rolled the stone that had been planted in the middle, whilst it opened to reveal a secret passageway that led to an even more narrow path.

When she went in, the wall closed, and the place was instantly lit by torches. Inside the cages were children ranging from tender to their teens, and from their ssy appearance, it was clear they were being held hostage here– the children Carla’s minions had abducted from different Kingdoms, and when she appeared, everyone imdiately hushed in fear.

The sound of her footsteps on the cold floor was like a ticking bomb to the ears of the children. Their hearts raced in apprehension, and most of them made an effort to hide away in the cage they were placed in.

Whenever she revealed herself to them, there was absolutely nothing good that ca with her presence.

Carla, however, was here to conduct the first ritual, a simple test, and with a flick of her wrist, the grotesque creatures incharge of the cage imdiately opened one of them, and children’s frightened scream could be heard when the creature dragged a boy out.

Taking him away from the rest of the children, he was brought to a secluded place. As they stepped over the threshold, the air grew heavy at the palpable sense of malevolence. The flickering candles that line the periter casted eerie, dancing shadows on the stone cold walls.

In the center of the chamber, a table was placed on the table. They were adorned with grotesque carvings and sinister symbols. It was sared with crimson stains, a remnant of countless forbidden rituals. The air was thick with the tallic scent of blood, old and new, clinging onto the table and walls.

Carla simply mustered the courage and said, "he is ready, get him on the table."

At her command, the grotesque creatures roughly placed the frightened boy who looked about fourteen-year-old on the table, and he was held down by so unknown force.

"What do you want from ? I want to go ho." Said the boy who was nearly at the brinks of tears, but Carla paid no heed to his pleas.

Reaching for a glass containing live maggots, Carla picked one and headed towards where the boy was trapped on the table.

She simply shoved a maggot into the boy’s mouth, forcing him to swallow, and when that part of the ritual was completed, one of her creatures lifted a butchered knife, and it was rcilessly brought down on the boy whose eyes widened, his life flashing before his very own eyes as the butcher knife sliced through him.
