Chapter 453: Chapter 453 Assassin Attack_1

"That night, in Yenjing, within a villa.

Mo Shaoyun stood on the back balcony, gazing up at the profound night sky, her eyes fixed on the brightest star, utterly entranced.

She felt that the most dazzling star in the sky was just like Zhang Xian, while she was nothing more than a small, dim, and lightless star next to it. All this, however, was despite her being universally praised as the most beautiful woman in Yenjing.

What could she do? The impression that Zhang Xian made on her was awe-inspiring, as if he was sothing other than human.

Sotis, she found herself wondering whether Zhang Xian was actually so celestial being, rely having not yet ascended into divinity.

Throughout their journey together, Zhang Xian solved countless problems, many of which she could hardly believe a single person could handle. Yet, he handled them all.

Now, Zhang Xian stood alone in front of them, fearlessly confronting an assassin organization, the Liu family, and the Nangong family—three extrely powerful forces.

"What should I do?" Mo Shaoyun murmured to herself.

She didn’t deny her feelings for Zhang Xian, which were growing deeper. However, the current situation filled her with uncertainty about the future, leaving her unsure about whether she should continue down this path.

Being fond of a capable man was quite normal. Starting from initial rejection, she had gradually begun to change her mindset and didn’t resist as much as before.

However, Zhang Xian’s army of won continued to expand, leaving her unsure of how to react.

A few won she might be able to accept, but the idea of dealing with dozens was simply unimaginable to her.

"What are you thinking about?"

Zhang Xian suddenly approached and said, "Judging from your expression, you seem to be unhappy."

"How could I possibly be happy?"

Mo Shaoyun turned to look at Zhang Xian, explaining, "I don’t think I’m above anyone else, but I’m certainly not beneath them either. Yet, I can’t even grasp my own happiness. How could I possibly be happy?"

"Why can’t you grasp it?"

Zhang Xian scratched his nose, saying, "It’s just that you’ve always been unwilling."

Mo Shaoyun looked at Zhang Xian and replied, "Do you think I could bring myself to be willing?"

"Well..."

Zhang Xian hesitated a bit before saying, "Elder Sister Shaoyun, there are actually many things I don’t want either, but they just keep moving in that direction. Just hang in there!"

Rolling her eyes at Zhang Xian, Mo Shaoyun turned her gaze away and didn’t bother responding to him. She thought he had so nerve to act so high and mighty when he didn’t even have enough self-control. His skin was quite thick.

"So..."

Zhang Xian suddenly grabbed Mo Shaoyun’s small hand and said, "Elder Sister Shaoyun, it seems that we have yet to kiss, why don’t we give it a try?"

"You...what do you think you’re doing?"

Frightened, Mo Shaoyun quickly withdrew her hand, threatening, "If you dare touch , you’re not going to hear the end of it."

"Uh..."

Zhang Xian said, "It doesn’t work that way, does it? You’re my fiancée!"

"So what? If I say no, the answer is no."

After glaring at Zhang Xian, Mo Shaoyun turned and walked inside, not giving Zhang Xian any chances.

"Uh..."

As Mo Shaoyun walked away like that, Zhang Xian’s mouth twitched involuntarily. He was certainly frustrated.

Ever since he arrived in Yenjing, he hadn’t had a chance to release his desires, which made him itch to do so. However, Mo Shaoyun, his own fiancée, refused to let him touch her. It was truly frustrating!

Among all the won, it was Mo Shaoyun who had the best figure and the most beautiful face, as well as a natural fragrance. He really wanted to experint, to know what it felt like to hold Mo Shaoyun.

"Hey..."

Suddenly, Xiao Nan approached and, glancing sidelong at Zhang Xian, she asked, "I just saw Mo Shaoyun hurry away. You didn’t provoke her anger again, did you? When are you going to learn?"

"Ah...I didn’t do anything!" Zhang Xian said.

Xiao Nan asked, "Really?"

"Absolutely, we were just talking, she’s not angry." Zhang Xian shook his head.

Xiao Nan nodded, saying, "That’s good! You two just started getting along, I hope you don’t do anything to ss it up."

"How could I?"

Zhang Xian smiled and let his eyes wander over Xiao Nan.

She must have just stepped out of the bathroom, as her hair was still wet and wrapped in a towel.

Wearing a white silk slip dress, her white skin seed to complent the silk, and under the moonlight, her body radiated a faint, ethereal glow.

Beneath the skirt, her slender legs were alluringly posed—one straight and the other slightly bent. It was as if they held so aphrodisiac hold on the heart, tempting one in.

"What...What are you looking at?" Xiao Nan instinctively backed away.

Coming to his senses, Zhang Xian gave an embarrassed smile saying, "Nothing, I was just thinking that you look very beautiful and attractive."

"Why does that sound so strange coming from you?"

Xiao Nan furrowed her brows, asking, "Just to clarify, are you saying I wasn’t attractive before, only today?"

"Of course not."

Zhang Xian replied, "I’m just noticing that you seem even more desirable today."

"Stop with the sweet talk."

Xiao Nan was pleased inwardly but didn’t show it, retorting, "It’s late. You should go to bed. We’ve had a lot happening lately, so make sure you’re not constantly drained."

"Isn’t it still early? It’s only ten o’clock."

Zhang Xian suddenly hugged Xiao Nan and said, "Sister Nan, it’s been a while since we’ve been intimate, and I miss it. The moon is so beautiful tonight, shall we get cozy?"

"Uh..."

Xiao Nan was taken aback and quickly struggled free from Zhang Xian’s embrace, angrily saying, "What nonsense are you spouting? If you want to be intimate, go be intimate with your wives, I’m not your wife."

Zhang Xian said, "Isn’t that just a matter of ti?"

"Who told you it’s just a matter of ti? Don’t even think about touching

until you’ve figured things out with Elder Sister Shaoyun."

After glaring at Zhang Xian, Xiao Nan turned around and walked inside. At this mont, she now understood why Mo Shaoyun’s expression seed a bit odd earlier; she must have run into such a situation.

However, she was quite curious at this ti. What kind of expression would Mo Shaoyun have when she encountered Zhang Xian’s request?

That girl, it seems, is Zhang Xian’s fiancée.

"Damn..."

Zhang Xian cursed under his breath and was about to go inside.

At this mont, his phone suddenly rang. It was a text ssage, ’Zhang Xian, soone is going to kill you tonight, be careful! You once saved , consider this as

returning a favor.’

"What’s going on?" Zhang Xian held his mobile phone, feeling curious.

The ssage had co from an unknown number and even ntioned his na. It was unlikely to have been sent to the wrong recipient.

If it wasn’t sent by mistake, then who sent it? And who wants to kill him?

"Could this be from Leng Shuang’er?" Zhang Xian suddenly thought of soone.

Among the people he knew who he had saved but weren’t on good terms with him, it seed that it was only Leng Shuang’er. And the only one who should know about these matters was probably her.

What he didn’t understand was why she would send him such a ssage? Even though he had saved her life, as an assassin, surely she wouldn’t do such a foolish thing, would she?

After hesitating for a bit, he sent a text ssage in reply, ’Miss Shuang’er, haven’t you gone to bed yet? Are you thinking about your brother?’

’Why don’t you go die?’

Looking at the response, Zhang Xian was almost certain he had the right person. He quickly sent another text, ’Who wants to kill ? And why did you tell ?’

Half an hour had passed, but the other party did not respond again.

Zhang Xian’s mouth twitched involuntarily, and he turned to enter the villa, quickly closing all the doors and windows.

Whether or not this ssage was sent by Leng Shuang’er, whether or not soone really was coming to kill him, he still had to take a series of precautions. This was not a joking matter.

"I hope the content of that ssage was true." Zhang Xian chuckled and walked into his room.

No matter who it was who had co, if they wanted to kill him, then they must be his enemies. Instead of hiding and waiting to strike at any ti, they might as well co out in the open and settle things once and for all.

...

That night, darkness enveloped the land.

On the quiet streets, seven figures shuttled quickly, their speed extrely fast.

After a short while, when the seven figures arrived outside a residential area, they paused montarily, then swiftly climbed over the fence, heading towards a villa.

"This is the right place, right?"

In front of the villa, a Westerner frowned and asked.

"Looking at the surrounding terrain, it should be correct," a middle-aged man with long hair comnted.

The Westerner nodded, "Wait a mont, we’ll split into four directions, first sneak into the villa, find out what’s happening, then take action."

"Skinny Monkey, is that really necessary?"

A muscular man scoffed, "He’s just a kid, we could simply barge in and take care of him, why all this fuss? It’s not like he’s so big shot with a hoard of bodyguards."

"Better safe than sorry."

The Westerner stated, "Leng Shuang’er said the guy is highly skilled, so he can’t be an easy target."

"So what?"

The muscular man retorted, "Even if there are seven of us and our skills are not weak, we are not comparable to ordinary people. That guy, he’s just an ordinary master."

"You think, Leng Shuang’er, could be considered by the organization if she had no skill?"

The Westerner frowned and said, "Moreover, she’s an assassin, she mostly takes on assassination missions. She failed several tis consecutively, you think our target this ti is a piece of cake?"

"I agree with Skinny Monkey," said the long-haired man, "Assassinations are often unexpected, unless the target’s skill is far superior, it’s hard to escape an assassin’s attempt. Leng Shuang’er has undergone strict training and was able to stand out from nurous trainees to beco a formal mber of the organization, so she surely has extraordinary skills. To be able to escape Leng Shuang’er’s assassination, one’s skills must be far superior to hers."

"You guys..." The muscular man was a bit unhappy but had to heed others’ opinions.

The Westerner made several hand gestures, and he and the long-haired man rushed towards the front door.

The others also left, dividing into three groups, two on the left, two on the right, while the muscular man alone rushed towards the back of the villa.

"What are you doing?"

Suddenly, a cold voice rang out.

The Westerner and the long-haired man suddenly halted, frowning, they turned to look in the direction of the voice.

The muscular man and the others also stopped abruptly.

Out of the darkness, a young man slowly erged, saying, "Tsk, tsk! Seven people, your organization is indeed willing to fork out a lot of money."
