Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Taoist Shui Attacks_1

The next day, early in the morning, after breakfast.

Zhu Qing had already gone to the hospital, while Zhang Xian and Zhu Wen were watching television in the clinic.

"Haha, Zhang Xian, look at this fool, he’s hilarious." Zhu Wen laughed heartily as he watched a codic scene on TV.

Such a smile hadn’t appeared on his face in a while. He had always wanted to open his own clinic, and although he had achieved his dream, it was not going as well as he had hoped.

Fortunately, the appearance of Zhang Xian had brought about a turn of events and completely resolved his most significant concern. These last few days had indeed been joyful.

Zhang Xian glanced at the TV and chuckled. The scene they had just watched was indeed a classic comic mont.

"Zhang Xian, Zhang Xian..."

Suddenly, Dong Qian ran into the clinic, held Zhang Xian’s hand, and said, "My mother... my mother is ill again. Can you co and see her with ?"

"She’s ill again?" Zhang Xian paused before standing and saying, "Sure, I’ll go with you right away."

"What do you an?" Zhu Wen asked, puzzled.

"It’s nothing, just continue watching your television," Zhang Xian said with a wave and a smile.

Dong Qian, being in a rush, ignored everything else, grabbed Zhang Xian’s hand, and left the clinic. She quickly got into a pink MINI car and sped off.

"Qianqian, there’s no need to worry, with

here, your mother will be fine," Zhang Xian reassured her, saying, "First, tell

when your mom got sick and if she had gone out beforehand."

"My mother goes for a morning exercise every day. She fell ill soon after she ca back today," Dong Qian explained.

"Alright, drive a bit slower. With

here, everything will be fine," Zhang Xian nodded and fell silent.

Dong Qian nodded, but her speed remained the sa. A journey that usually took half an hour was completed within minutes, and the MINI car stopped in front of her house.

"Zhang Xian, glad you’re here."

In the living room, Dong Tianchen quickly got up from the couch when he saw Zhang Xian.

"Mmhmm!" Zhang Xian gave a nod while examining the living room.

It was in a ss, as if a battle had just taken place. Pillows, television remotes and other objects were scattered around randomly, and there were many shards of glass on the floor.

"Ah, open the door, let

out."

"Sobody, let

out, are you all deaf? Let

out, let

out now."

From upstairs, bouts of hysterical yelling could be heard. The voice was hoarse, and it gave off an uncanny feeling.

"Ah, Zhang Xian, my wife fell ill again after returning from her morning exercise. What on earth is going on?" Dong Tianchen asked with a frown, clearly troubled. "It seems... this ti it’s worse than the last one. As soon as she got ho, she started yelling and smashing everything, and she seems much stronger than before. I had no choice but to lock her in the upstairs room."

"Did you investigate what I asked you to last ti? Were there any results?" Zhang Xian asked.

"I did look into it, but I couldn’t find anything," Dong Tianchen shook his head.

He hadn’t lied. He had genuinely considered what Zhang Xian had asked of him, and he had even tried to investigate but found nothing out of the ordinary.

"Alright, I’ll go upstairs and take a look. And again, no matter what noises you hear, do not co upstairs. It’s dangerous." Zhang Xian nodded and started ascending the staircase.

When he reached the door, he scanned the room with his mind’s eye. Finding that Shen Jialin wasn’t near the door, he kicked it open and swiftly grabbed her by the throat.

Ah..." ’Shen Jialin’ was visibly scared.

Once she collected herself, she screeched, "Who... who are you? What do you want?"

"I am the one who ca to collect you," Zhang Xian replied coldly. "Are you coming out willingly, or do I have to beat you out?"

"I... I can’t co out. I have been sealed inside this woman’s body," ’Shen Jialin’ appeared to be angry. "This isn’t what I wanted."

"Alright then, I’ll break the seal, and you can leave then." Zhang Xian used so force and a burst of Spiritual Energy flowed out, completely removing the seal inside Shen Jialin’s body.

Such a low-level seal was child’s play to him.

"Ah..." ’Shen Jialin’ suddenly scread out in pain.

The energy was purer and much more potent than before, giving her a sense of impending doom.

"Still not coming out?" Zhang Xian demanded angrily.

’Shen Jialin’ hesitated for a mont but fell to the ground limp shortly after. At that mont, a spirit invisible to the naked eye drifted out from the top of her head.

Seeing this, Zhang Xian quickly went over, hoisted Shen Jialin up, and said to the spirit, "Given you have been cooperative, I will not destroy you today. I hope you stop harming people and leave imdiately!"

The spirit floated around the room a couple of tis, then transford into a gust of wind and floated out from the window crack.

"This is so troubleso. I wonder where that guy caught so many evil spirits." Zhang Xian didn’t stop the spirit’s departure. He held Shen Jialin and walked to the bed, gently laying her down.

The spirit from earlier couldn’t really be considered an evil spirit, just an ordinary one. Zhang Xian had no intent of completely exterminating it. True evil spirits ca with an extraordinarily strong aura of evilness.

The one from last ti, that was a genuine evil spirit, with aggressive tendencies belonging to the evil kind.

...

TianDu City, on a certain street.

In a Benz car, Taoist Shui was ditating with his eyes closed.

Sitting beside him, Guo Youcai was behaving respectfully, devoid of any masterly deanor.

At a certain mont, Taoist Shui opened his eyes abruptly, the light in them flashing wildly, "Not good, the seal I’ve set is being undone, how is this possible?"

"Really?" Guo Youcai expressed surprise.

He knew Taoist Shui’s capabilities well; he was an enlightened man. Was there anybody tougher than Taoist Shui in this city?

"Hurry up and get to Shen Jialin’s house. I want to see who dares to ss with

again." Taoist Shui’s face darkened. His palm clenched into a fist, his veins bulging.

The last evil spirit he raised single-handedly was destroyed by soone. This ti’s spirit body was just randomly caught by him. He didn’t have ti to cultivate it or connect with it ntally. So, he couldn’t track it down.

It was really hard for him to catch a spirit body that t the requirent of cultivation, yet it was just let go by soone. How could he not be furious?

...

Zhang Xian laid Shen Jialin on the bed. After checking and finding no injuries, he felt relieved and left the room.

Seeing Zhang Xian coming down, Dong Qian and Dong Tianchen hurried to et him.

"Rest assured, Aunt is okay now." Zhang Xian smiled.

"Hmm, Zhang Xian, we have troubled you again this ti." Dong Tianchen smiled and handed over a black box to Zhang Xian with tact, "Here, this is your remuneration."

"This... this is embarrassing!" Zhang Xian said politely, but his hands were not slow.

"It’s what you deserve. Without you, we wouldn’t know what kind of trauma our family would suffer." Dong Tianchen said with a smile.

Dong Qian nodded repeatedly, her eyes sparkling. She looked at Zhang Xian with twinkling stars in her eyes, a strange feeling rippling within them.

This guy not only looks handso, he is also very capable, which is fascinating.

"Boom boom..."

Just then, the anti-theft door was suddenly kicked open.

A middle-aged man dressed in a Taoist robe rushed in irritably, his quacking voice roaring, "Damn it, which blind dude dares to ruin my good business?"

"Who are you?" Dong Tianchen looked at Taoist Shui with a frown.

"Hmph, this Taoist is called Taoist Shui, an idle man from the hills." Taoist Shui’s gaze suddenly solidified, and he asked Zhang Xian, "Little Thief, is it you ssing with Taoist Shui’s business?"

"Yes." Zhang Xian laughed and said, "Old man, aren’t you ashad of being a Successor of Maoshan?"

"You ..." Taoist Shui’s beard curled up as he said angrily, " little thief, there’s always soone better, don’t be arrogant because you have so skills. You are not allowed to act recklessly in front of this Taoist."

Seeing Taoist Shui’s attire, Dong Tianchen and Dong Qian were slightly surprised. This man was dressed in a Taoist robe. Was he a hermit or sothing?

Zhang Xian previously said that Shen Jialin’s illness was man-made. Now, soone showed up at their doorstep, causing them to worry. Taoist Shui seed to be quite formidable.

"Little thief, take this." Taoist Shui held a Peach Wood Sword in his right hand and a yellow talisman in his left. As he chanted, "Heavens above, earth below, invoke the supre Lord Lao Zi, as fast as a law command, fire dragon."

As soon as his words fell, he waved his Peach Wood Sword. The yellow talisman that was stabbed imdiately burst into flas.

"Oh my..." Seeing this, Dong Tianchen retreated in a panic.

Dong Qian was also greatly startled and quickly hid behind Zhang Xian, her face full of terror. Could it be witchcraft, that the old Taoist murmured a few words and the paper ignited?

"Little thief, take my Fire Dragon’s attack." Taoist Shui swung his Peach Wood Sword and the yellow talisman turned into a ter-long fire dragon, which rushed towards Zhang Xian.

Seeing this, Dong Qian turned pale. She was so scared that she forgot to dodge.

Dong Tianchen was also frightened, but he had the sense to quickly pull Dong Qian aside.

"Hmmph, trivial trick." Zhang Xian took a step forward, extinguishing the fire dragon with a slap. Then, he went forward and slapped Taoist Shui, forcing him to retreat again and again.

To ordinary people, the Maoshan Taoist Art might be extraordinary, but to him, it was nothing. After all, he was a genuine cultivator. Would he be afraid of these Maoshan Taoist Arts?

Speaking of which, the Maoshan Taoist Art was rely a basic thod of cultivating immortality and couldn’t even be regarded as a celestial technique.

Taoist Shui was dazed by the beating and didn’t recover for a long ti.

What’s happening? What’s happening? How was his fire dragon extinguished? That guy rushed over and slapped him with several slaps, leaving him dazed and confused.

"Um ..." Dong Tianchen and Dong Qian were stunned.

Taoist Shui’s technique just now had genuinely frightened them. A fire dragon was conjured out of thin air, which was weird.

What surprised them was that such an impressive technique turned out to be useless. Zhang Xian went up and extinguished the fire dragon with a single slap.

So, was Taoist Shui too weak, or was Zhang Xian extraordinary?

"Aren’t you Taoist Shui? Why do you like playing with fire?" Zhang Xian laughed at Taoist Shui, "And, was that a fire dragon you made just now? Why did I think it looked like a burning caterpillar?"
