Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Unexpected Encounter with Unscrupulous Boss_1
At noon, after lunch.
Mama Fong tidied up a bit, grabbed a basket, and prepared to go out.
Zhang Xian noticed and asked, "Mama Fong, where are you off to?"
Mama Fong smiled and said, "I’m going to buy so groceries, I was busy tidying up this morning and didn’t have the ti to go out!"
"Well..." Zhang Xian pondered for a second, then said, "I’ll go with you, I can’t guarantee yet that the Middle East Group and Buckteeth Zhou won’t make a move."
"Is this necessary? I’m just going out to buy groceries." Mama Fong replied with a chuckle.
"Better safe than sorry," Zhang Xian said.
He had taught Buckteeth Zhou a lesson yesterday and the Middle East Group was in cahoots with Buckteeth Zhou. He figured that unless Buckteeth Zhou was a fool, he wouldn’t dare cause trouble here again.
Of course, that was just his estimation. If Buckteeth Zhou had any sort of trump card, then that would be another story.
As such, he was a little uneasy letting Mama Fong go out alone. He had nothing else to do, so he might as well prevent any unknown trouble.
"I’ll co too." Dong Qian suddenly ran over, grinning as she spoke.
Zhu Qing didn’t fall behind either. Even Li Peichi joined in. Clearly, they were bored at ho and wanted to get out, to take their minds off of things.
Zhang Xian could only agree to this.
Not to ntion that Qianqian wanted to go out. He, being her boyfriend, would not have the heart to reject her. Plus, he was at a disadvantage against Zhu Qing and Li Peichi’s persistence.
And so, everyone piled into the Bentley and left the house.
They strolled around the market while Mama Fong rushed here and there. Dong Qian and Zhu Qing were exhausted and thirsty, so they asked Zhang Xian to get them so water.
Soti after Zhang Xian had left, as Dong Qian and others stepped out of the market waiting for him, a middle-aged man appeared not far away.
Upon seeing the man, Mama Fong’s face instantly flushed with rage, as though she harbored so deep, unyielding grudge.
Seeing this, Zhu Qing asked, "Mama Fong, what’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?"
Mama Fong shook her head, "No... nothing."
Li Peichi didn’t buy it. She noticed Mama Fong continuously staring at a middle-aged man who just got out of a rcedes and asked, "Mama Fong, do you have a grudge against that guy?"
Mama Fong forced a smile, hoping to appear nonchalant. "No... no! I... I just suddenly feel a little dizzy."
Zhu Qing, who also noticed Mama Fong focusing intensely on the man in the distance, didn’t believe Mama Fong’s words. She imdiately handed her grocery bag to Dong Qian and quickly went over to the man.
The middle-aged man was about to step into a small supermarket after getting out of his car.
Zhu Qing quickly caught up with him, tapped him on the shoulder, and asked, "Hey, do you know that lady over there?"
"Um..." The man hesitated, then turned around.
Upon seeing Zhu Qing’s stunning beauty, his eyes sparkled and he chuckled, "Little girl, what can I do for you?"
"I’m asking you if you recognize that lady over there." Zhu Qing’s face was stern.
The man looked over, and upon spotting Mama Fong in the distance, he squinted. He recalled sothing after a mont. A few years ago, an accident happened on the construction site he managed. A foreman fell from a building and injured his spine. At that ti, a woman had repeatedly sought compensation from him, which he ignored. Now, the woman staring at him from afar was that woman.
He looked back at Zhu Qing, knitting his brows and asked, "Little girl, do you know that woman?"
"From your expression, I gather you do know her?" Zhang Xian countered.
"I do know her, but not well." The man snorted, "Her husband used to work on my construction site, got injured, and then she kept pestering
to compensate."
Upon hearing this, Zhu Qing’s face turned grim.
She knew about Father Fong’s injury and the reason behind his invalidity- the boss’s refusal to compensate for the accident had led to Father Fong’s paralysis.
She had been wondering why Mama Fong reacted so strongly earlier. It turned out that the man in front of her was the very culprit who caused Father Fong to be bedridden for three whole years and led the Fong family into a crisis.
"Pretty girl, what’s the matter?" The middle-aged man was perplexed to see Zhu Qing’s angry face.
"Smack..." Suddenly, Zhu Qing leaped up and gave the man a slap across his face, shouting, "You scum, you are such a scum."
"Damn, you dare to hit ?" The middle-aged man was furious.
If it weren’t for the fact that Zhu Qing looked attractive enough to pique his interest, he couldn’t be bothered. To his surprise, this woman turned out to be a fierce one, bold enough to slap him across the face in public.
Over there, Dong Qian and Li Peichi saw Zhu Qing hit soone and rushed over imdiately.
Mama Fong also hastened anxiously.
She did not ntion it earlier, out of concern that Zhu Qing would not be able to resist confronting the middle-aged man. After living together for a few days, she knew better than to underestimate Zhu Qing’s tenacity.
"Damn it..." The middle-aged man was fuming.
Seeing Li Peichi and Dong Qian, he was taken aback. If Zhu Qing had already amazed him, having two more stunning beauties suddenly appear was enough to nearly blind him with their radiance.
While there might be many beauties out there, having three at once, all top-tier, was a rarity.
"Qingqing, don’t put up a fuss now." Mama Fong pulled Zhu Qing to one side, quickly apologizing to the middle-aged man, "Sorry, boss. My niece just doesn’t know any better."
"Hmph, if apologies could solve everything, why would we need the police? Do you think I’d just ignore the slap?" The middle-aged man adjusted his suit, and straightened his back, saying: "Listen here, you and I are no strangers. You’re aware of the influence I hold in Tiandu. If you don’t give
an explanation today, you lot had better prepare for the worst."
"So, I hit you. So what?" Zhu Qing retorted angrily: "For a piece of scum like you, hitting you could be considered as letting you off lightly."
"That’s right, if you don’t apologize to Mama Fong today, you will also have to face repercussions." Dong Qian, hands on her hips, glared furiously at the middle-aged man.
Ignoring her own status as the young mistress of the Dong Family, this guy in front of her seed less intimidating. Let alone the returning Zhang Xian — who she knew would be incomparable to the man, why should she be afraid?
"HaHa..." The middle-aged man burst out laughing, "Are you joking with ? You all want
to apologie to who, Mama Fong? Do you think I’d even dare?"
Mama Fong indeed would not dare, and quickly pulled Dong Qian and Zhu Qing back.
Zhu Qing shook off Mama Fong’s hand, retorting, "You seem rather arrogant, thinking no one can take you on?"
"Hmph, missy, don’t say I didn’t warn you. You all are in big trouble, BIG trouble." The middle-aged man leaned on the hood of his luxury rcedes-Benz, "Let
lay it out for you. If you three beauties accompany
for a al, apologize properly for your actions, I might forgive you. Otherwise, all of you are dood."
Zhu Qing sneered and whipped out her phone, dialing Zhang Xian’s number, angrily asking, "Zhang Xian, where the hell are you? Does it take so long to buy water?"
"Uh... Qingqing, what’s wrong now? Why are you so angry?"
"Mama Fong is being bullied, hurry here now."
"Damn, what? Who the hell is so audacious to bully Mama Fong?"
"It’s a long story, we’re opposite the east gate of the market, at the entrance of the Grand Supermarket. Just hurry up." Closing the call, Zhu Qing turned to the middle-aged man, a cold smile on her face, "Actually, you’re the one in trouble. I’ve already called Zhang Xian, perhaps it’s not too late for you to make a sincere apology now. Once Zhang Xian arrives, it might be too late for you."
"Bah, do you dare to touch ? Do you even know who I am?" The middle-aged man sneered and took out his phone to dial a number.
Clearly, if Zhu Qing was calling for backup, he couldn’t lag behind. Today, he had his mind set on taking these three beauties away. Damn, they were all too beautiful.
"Who the hell is being so arrogant?"
Soon after, a young man ca running from a certain direction, carrying several bottles of water in his hands.
"Over here..." Dong Qian hopped around whilst waving her hands.
Quickly, Zhang Xian ran over, inquiring, "What happened? Who dares to bully Mama Fong? As if I don’t exist?"
"HaHa...you could not be more amusing!" The middle-aged man, having seen Zhu Qing call for help and only one person answering, started laughing. "Look, ladies, this is sowhat disappointing! Honestly, I don’t even feel like dealing with you all. How about you all just co with ? That way, no one gets hurt when things turn violent."
"Brother Zhang Xian, he bullied ." Dong Qian trotted over to Zhang Xian’s side, her mouth pouting.
Zhang Xian, infuriated, stepped up to the man, "Hey, are you the one making a scene here and bullying Mama Fong AND my little Qianqian?"
"I didn’t bully them, and I even got slapped by them." The middle-aged man, paying no heed to Zhang Xian, pointed to the luxury rcedes-Benz next to him, flashing a smug smile, "Kid, I suggest you stay out of this. So people are not to be ssed with. See here, I drive a rcedes. It’s not a car just anyone can afford, you should know better."
"Is rcedes sothing impressive?" Zhang Xian sneered, reached for the middle-aged man’s head, and bashed it against the hood of the Benz.
With a loud bang, the windshield caved in, and the man’s head was bleeding profusely, "How is it that I feel... it’s not all that after all?"
"Ahhh..." The middle-aged man was dazed from the impact, it took him a while to regain his senses, "Kid, you’re finished, you are absolutely finished today."
"I’ve heard that so many tis, but I’m still very much here and doing well." Zhang Xian scoffed, "Just to be frank, I’ve offended more than a fair share of people, many of whom are far more powerful than you, and they haven’t been able to touch . You, and again no offence, are seriously nothing special. Did you really think owning a Benz entitles you to act with impunity and arrogance wherever you go?"
At this point, Zhu Qing approached and said, "Zhang Xian, this guy was Father Fong’s old boss. Father Fong had a work accident and this guy didn’t pay him a di in compensation."
"Damn...," Zhang Xian was livid, grabbing the middle-aged man’s head and smashing it onto the rcedes once again, "You’re not bad huh! Looks like that blow earlier was not sufficient to atone for your sins."
