Chapter 88 - 88: Fairy Glitter

Stepping out of the stone gate, Bai Luo found himself in Dihua Marsh.

Dihua Marsh is nad after the vast stretches of reed flowers growing across its shallow waters. It is a natural wetland in the northern part of Liyue. This area, with its abundant water sources and crisscrossing river networks, forms a rich ecosystem made up of diverse flora and fauna. To travelers, it is a breathtaking sight.

At the sa ti, the marsh serves as a critical land route connecting Mondstadt and Liyue, making it a frequent resting spot for rchant caravans.

As soon as Bai Luo entered Dihua Marsh, he seed to hear the sound of an erhu playing in his mind. Though the erhu is often associated with sorrowful lodies, in this context, it evoked a sense of tranquility and harmony.

It felt like... stumbling upon an inn still open on a rainy night. Lying in one of its rooms, listening to the sound of raindrops tapping against the window, one would feel inexplicably at peace.

Unfortunately... Bai Luo wasn't accompanied by peaceful travelers but rather a group of Fatui agents. Outside of cities, the background was likely to be the sound of battle most of the ti.

After Katarina had finished dressing his wounds, Bai Luo sent her away because he had just received a notification from the system.

[Achievent Unlocked: Even Rock Wears Down Over Ti]

[Reward Obtained: Fairy Glitter (Active Equipnt)]

[Fairy Glitter (Active)]: One of the strongest magical abilities in a certain world, a legendary over-magic spell. A rciless radiance that denies the survival of enemies, capable of annihilating all foes.

Unique Passive: Increases all elental damage by 15%.

Unique Active – Fairy Glitter: Instantly deals true damage equal to 15% of the enemy's lost health. If the target is killed, the cooldown is reduced by 20 seconds. (Cooldown: 90 seconds)

If Bai Luo had a cigarette in his pocket, he would have shakily pulled it out and lit it right then.

Was this piece of equipnt strong?

Absolutely. Especially for soone like him, who dealt true damage and wielded a reversed-blade sword, it was practically a damage-boosting artifact.

The problem was... this Fairy Glitter was clearly a mage-assassin item. Why would a proud physical assassin like him draw sothing like this?

Couldn't the system give him sothing like Gae Bold instead? If that was too much, even the Iron-Crushing Fang from Inuyasha would've been fine. Why did it have to be this?

If nothing else, unlocking a third class like Black Swordsman would have worked too. With the trio of Kirito, Kenshin, and Hei, he'd even dare to storm the Tenshukaku.

A sudden ominous feeling crept over him. Was this lousy system going to give him a full set with Fairy Law, Fairy Sphere, and Fairy Heart next?

Yikes... it just might.

The thought alone sent shivers down his spine.

However, unlocking this achievent confird one thing: interacting more with matters or people related to Archons could trigger corresponding achievents and tasks.

It seed he needed to change his cautious nature and start taking a few more risks.

After analyzing the Fairy Glitter, Bai Luo turned his gaze outside.

The scenery of Dihua Marsh was undeniably stunning. While Mondstadt had similar plains, they sohow lacked the unique charm of Liyue's marshlands.

Along the way, Bai Luo often saw passing rchants camping along the roadside. So of them appeared to have just returned from Mondstadt after celebrating the Windblu Festival.

In Bai Luo's plan, passing through Dihua Marsh was an opportunity to take a break and enjoy himself. Even though he was a Harbinger, a bit of relaxation was always necessary. However, his injuries forced him to change his plans. His group hurriedly crossed the marsh and arrived at Wangshu Inn, Liyue's largest inn.

Wangshu Inn is built atop a massive stone pillar. Most of its patrons are traveling rchants who use the inn not only to rest but also as a venue for direct trading and setting up stalls. The upper levels offer an unparalleled view; on clear days, one can see both Qingce Village and Jueyun Karst in the distance, making it a pri spot for sightseeing.

No one could say for sure when the inn was built, but considering its scale and location, the forces behind it must be extraordinary.

By the ti Bai Luo's group arrived at Wangshu Inn, it was already evening, and the inn was bustling with life. rchants from all corners of the continent could be seen.

Unlike the rchants near the Stone Gate, the ones here were much braver. Although they lowered their voices upon seeing Bai Luo's group, at least they didn't flee.

"Guests, would you like a room?"

The attendant managing the area was quite perceptive.

Understanding that the presence of the Fatui could dampen everyone's mood, he proactively guided Bai Luo's group toward the upper levels of the inn.

The upper floors of Wangshu Inn were essentially VIP rooms.

These weren't just available for anyone with money; so level of influence and connections was also required to stay there.

"Yes, take us up," Bai Luo said.

With Katarina's help, he stepped into the elevator with his group.

This so-called elevator was powered by a waterwheel and moved automatically at set intervals, resembling the elevators Bai Luo was familiar with.

However, its safety was far from reliable, with incidents of falls or injuries reported every year.

"Please stay away from the edges," the attendant cautioned as they ascended. "First-ti riders might feel uncomfortable, but that's normal. Please refrain from drawing any weapons, and make sure to look after any injured companions."

The attendant's diligence wasn't just courtesy—it was a necessity. Given the unique status of these Fatui agents, any mishap could spell trouble for his boss.

To his surprise, while most of the Fatui mbers appeared curious, the injured officer seed entirely unfazed, as if he'd ridden this type of elevator many tis before.

Upon reaching the top of the inn, the innkeeper Huai'an personally ca out to greet them. It seed word of Bai Luo's arrival had already reached him through other channels.

"Esteed guests, your presence brings great honor to our humble inn. I've already instructed the cooks to prepare a feast. I guarantee you'll enjoy the finest service here," the innkeeper said warmly.

"No need to go to such trouble. Prepare food for my subordinates and arrange so rooms. As for my al... Katarina will bring it to ," Bai Luo replied, his tone flat.

Despite the innkeeper's genuine expression, Bai Luo couldn't help but feel a tinge of distrust.

He knew the inn's background was anything but simple—otherwise, the Vigilant Yaksha wouldn't frequent the place.

He wondered... would he have the chance to et this legendary figure?
