"When are you going to let

go?" Collei asked as she felt the coolness of the ointnt inside the Goth Grand Hotel.

At this mont, she was on all fours, allowing Bai Luo to apply dicine to her back.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to lie down—it was just that she had already applied ointnt to her front and didn’t want to soil the clean sheets.

At first, she had insisted on applying the dicine herself.

But there were areas she simply couldn't reach without soone else's help.

And since Bai Luo was the only one who could ignore the disease on her body, she eventually gave in.

It's just dical treatnt... nothing more.

After all, he had already seen everything.

There was no point in caring anymore.

Besides, compared to others her age, her body wasn’t exactly sothing worth admiring.

"I never stopped you from leaving," Bai Luo replied as he carefully covered the hideous wounds on Collei's body with the ointnt, making sure not to miss a spot.

The scars left by the disease were even more horrifying than burns.

The raw, red flesh would make an average person feel nauseated.

However, Bai Luo had seen too many similar things to be affected anymore.

In a sense, the outbreak of this disease wasn’t entirely unrelated to him—or rather, to the Fatui.

"Tch, I can’t believe a single word you say," Collei scoffed, glancing at the barely noticeable steel wires by the window.

She couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

Were those wires supposed to keep people out?

"It’s not like I’ve ever lied to you," Bai Luo said, mid-application, before giving her a light slap on the waist.

"Ah—!" The cool sensation startled Collei, causing her to make a strange sound.

Realizing what she had done, she quickly covered her mouth.

When she turned to look at Bai Luo, her eyes were filled with resentnt, like a small kitten that had been mistreated.

"Alright, stand up. I'll help you wrap the bandages, and then we’ll go visit that big sister."

He carefully gathered up the old bandages, which would need to be incinerated later.

The new bandages had already been prepared by the Fatui before their return.

Despite their reputation on the continent of Teyvat, there was no denying the Fatui’s efficiency.

Not just the bandages, even the clothes she had worn for two days would be sent for incineration.

Collei couldn’t help but show a bit of reluctance as she watched the fully ard Fatui servants take away her clothes.

In the past, while wandering from place to place with her illness, she had been lucky if anyone gave her a single outfit.

Sotis, she would wear one set of clothes as she traveled through two countries.

Luxurious garnts like the ones she had worn these past few days had only ever appeared in her dreams.

The smoothness and softness of these clothes against her skin was an experience she could never have imagined.

And now, in just a few days since arriving in Mondstadt, she had changed into two different outfits.

It felt too extravagant.

After changing into new clothes, Bai Luo led Collei out of the Goth Grand Hotel.

Mondstadt didn’t have a curfew, but there weren’t many people wandering the streets at night either.

The only places where people could regularly be seen were the Cat's Tail Tavern and Angel's Share, where drunkards often gathered.

During the Windblu Festival, even mbers of the Knights of Favonius could occasionally be seen relaxing there.

Normally, the Knights weren’t allowed to indulge themselves like this, but since everyone worked so hard during the festival, the higher-ups chose to turn a blind eye, as long as it didn’t affect their duties.

The city was illuminated by bright lights and the glow of the moon, adding a serene and hazy beauty to Mondstadt.

Walking along the uneven cobblestone streets, the sound of footsteps and the gentle creaking of windmills spinning created a sense of calm.

Mondstadt, aside from Liyue, had beco one of Collei's favorite cities.

However, due to the bandages wrapped all over her body, passersby occasionally glanced at her curiously.

"Where are we going?" Collei asked in a low voice, subconsciously grabbing Bai Luo's hand when she noticed the strange looks people gave her.

She suddenly missed the past few days spent in the wilderness—at least there, no one would stare at her like this.

Except for the milk... that was a nightmare.

"We're almost there," Bai Luo replied, looking towards the northern part of the city.

In the north of Mondstadt were mostly tall buildings. The people living there were mainly high-ranking mbers of the Church of Favonius and the Knights.

It was considered the more upscale part of town, and the person they were about to visit lived in this area.

They walked on moss-covered cobblestones, climbed up several flights of stairs, and carefully avoided the patrolling knights.

Finally, they arrived in front of an apartnt building.

"What are you planning to do..." Collei asked nervously, as Bai Luo pulled a dagger from his waist. She had a bad feeling, recalling that Bai Luo had done sothing similar when they were in the wild.

"We're going to see that capable big sister, of course," Bai Luo said, flicking the chanism on the dagger and then tossing it upward with precision.

The dagger, attached to a wire, wrapped around the balcony railing above.

"Hold on to ," he instructed.

"???" Before Collei could react, Bai Luo had already grabbed her, and they both shot up to the balcony, using the wire to ascend.

Lisa, the librarian of the Knights of Favonius, disliked being disturbed before breakfast, during her midday naps, or after dinner.

She was quite busy dealing with people who refused to return their borrowed books, so she often felt a bit tired.

These were her only monts of leisure, where she could enjoy her favorite novels or sample so treats from neighboring nations.

After taking a bath, she had changed into a light purple lace-trimd nightgown and was lazily curled up on a soft sofa, her still-damp hair draped over her collarbone as she flipped through a book.

The arrival of the Windblu Festival also brought business opportunities. Countless foreign rchants, like flies drawn to the scent of profit, sward into this free city.

One of them, a Liyue rchant, had brought her a pirated book, allegedly smuggled from Inazuma.

On the surface, it seed like a simple romance novel, but it contained many hidden secrets and was even worthy of being placed in the restricted section of the library.

However, before Lisa could properly delve into the novel, unexpected visitors arrived.

Seeing the dagger wrapped around her balcony railing, Lisa’s Vision began to glow faintly, and the Favonius Codex beside her stirred as if moved by an invisible wind.

The wire retracted, and a shadowy figure flipped onto the balcony.

His face, unmasked, bore a warm smile, quite different from the fearso "Black Reaper" Diluc had once described—soone who could ignore all attacks.

If it weren’t for the fact that he was holding a little girl in one hand, Lisa might have already shown him what her "lightning whip" could do.

"A late-night visit... I hope I’m not disturbing you, my beautiful lady," Bai Luo said with a shy smile, his black hair tousled by the night breeze.

He looked more like a polite boy next door than the deadly figure so knew him as.

"Lady?" Lisa lowered the Favonius Codex and sat up straight. "Call

sister."
